Politics / Re: Acting President Goodluck Jonathan And His Too Many Grammatical Errors by seanlaw(m): 4:53am On Apr 17, 2010
Not only was his English below the standard expected of a Phd holder. Did anyone notice how he sat down, like he was in his village sqaure ready to drink palm wine (same with the interview with President Obama). All I can say is, this is the first interview he would be granting to an international media. He needs to trained on that.
Politics / Re: Uk Whites Scampered For Safety After A Nigerian Identified Self At Train Station by seanlaw(m): 3:10pm On Jan 05, 2010
Please whoever the author of this article is should try to put his/her facts right. I live in the Uk and ever since the Umar's incident, have saw relatives and friends off to the airport(those who came for holidays and also met friends who just arrived into the UK via heathrow, gatwick and birmingham international airport).

You claim Nigerians are subject to search. Yes profiling is now the order of the day but please dont paint a picture that would generate hatred(This is exactly what the US and UK has done). We all need to know how to manage situations like this. Nigerians living in the UK are not living in fear of been stigmatised. If you have got nothing to hide then you should be able to stand your ground.

I also had such an experience couple of days after the failed xmas incident. I was coming from kent heading to euston. Myself and another Nigerian saw this somalian who wore a kaftan and had long beards. He just told me "mate am not getting on this tube if that guy is going".

We all want to live. so please remember the press has a lot of influence on the people so be careful how you pass messages across to your readers.
NYSC / Re: Nysc Batch C Passing Out Date by seanlaw(m): 1:56pm On Sep 10, 2009
cassidynca:

Who be your NYSC met here? Do you think this forum is for Corpers? Abeg ask that question some other place not here.
Thanks for your understanding.
Comon mate, why would you post such a reply. If u have nothing better to say why not just keep to yourself than insulting the poster.
@ poster, NYSC is a very irresponsible sector. If u are close to your zonal inspector or area inspector. They would be able to give u a date but they would not confirm it. The date might be close or right.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Any Hope 4 3rd Classers by seanlaw(m): 2:40am On Feb 27, 2009
@davidylan

I just read a post saying you are in the states. That is a good one. I am sure that you would have enuf foreign experience of recruiting agencies n job application. The firms go beyond the cv that has been submitted and require the applicant to take an evaluation test. You can see that even though one claims to have a 1st, 2nd or 3rd, the online evaluation test would reveal the ability of the applicant.

Yes to the man that had a 3rd, he needs to work hard(er) but the response you gave to the guy was somewhat callous. And the responses that you gave to all those who replied you was way out of it. My guy take am easy o. We all r destined to get to where we are meant to get to.

"There is no stupid question",
Goodluck to you.

davidylan, guy e to hard for u ooooooooooo. You must be working with Shell/Mobil/Chevron and with a Distinction. The issue is, not all 3rd class are faults by the holder. The fact that a person has a 3rd does not mean he/she is dull. Yes you were trying to encourage him but my guy, if u be counsellor, ur clients go don jump inside river. And one thing i noticed from your posts are the facts that you are just been arrogant and nasty. Nigeria is moving forward and everyone is needed.

The man who has a 3rd is not useless nor lazy(quoting you). The fact that Gani made a 3rd is also not an excuse but all man for im own self.

Guy make u thank God for the grade and job that you have.

Am expecting your normal reply and another thing the site of ur egusi soup makes me miss niaj. 1 Love to the house cool
