If you are rich or successful listen to me.

Never you travel by helicopter, if you can, avoid boarding a helicopter at all cost.

And if possible reduce your traveling around to the barest minimum and employ a trusted relative or friend to act in your capacity as PA to represent you in crucial meetings that involves traveling outside the shores of your country of residence.

The richer you become in life the more risky and delicate your life becomes; what ordinary poor and average people do and getaway with will most likely send you to the great beyond and you know why?

It's because as you climb through the ladder of life, as you grow financially in life, the more your enemies and the more forces of nature align against your life, and the more negative spirits hovering the earth want to use you to show example and shock others to take some glory.

Therefore as you grow richer, reduce the risks you take with your life.

avoid frequent traveling whether by road, by sea or air, just reduce it. Don't mind those jumping around snapping luxury photos to show they are living large, you don't need to show anybody how large you are living, your investments and the lives you are touching will always suffice.

avoid staying alone if you are rich. surround yourself with enough security details whether in Nigeria or abroad, if that guy that founded gokada surrounded himself with security aides, his useless staff wouldn't have ended his life in that gory way some years back.

forget what people will say, employ a PA, it could be a trusted family member, a friend or someone dear, but avoid being alone.

Even that Ataga of a man killed by one useless Chidinma wouldn't have died if he had surrounded himself with aides.

Even if you want to do some crucade movement as a big guy, it doesn't matter go with one or two of your trusted aides dont go alone, there is nothing new under the sun so there is nothing they will see you do that has never been done before.

Lastly, as you get richer, avoid traveling together with your wife and kids, it has never paid off, it always end in big tears, if your wife insist on doing everything together as a family in the name of love, show her the too many examples of where satan used such opportunities to showcase his existence.

I pray God protect all rich and successful men helping to lift others up, may God cancel every sudden death your way and may you always make the right decision that will not leave those that depend on you stranded in life, amen cry

Nonsense...Not surprising coming from a typical Nigerian..
Death comes for all..Rich,poor, young, old, etc.
Whether in your home, on the air or by road..
Christian, Muslim or whatever..
You're just a typical Nigerian who attributes every death to 'imaginary' enemies

The Lagos State government has been having different conversations with manufacturers on ways to end the use of single-use plastics in the State despite the pronouncement of the ban over 3 years ago, but the government has decided to take a bold step to stop the use, particularly styrofoam.

some senseless, poverty-stricken fellows will keep giving them thumb up.

It is a good development but as you had let it in use for so long, give them some real good time to change or adjust.

My heart was broken some days ago, when Lagos State task force clamped down on Okada riders. By Festac first gate ,where I stopped, I saw over 500 bikes loaded in trucks heading towards Mile 2. The painful part is that the bikes were cease from their owners, right inside the Trade fair complex. They had nothing to do with express or highways. Tomorrow, they will force the victims into kidnapping and Lagos would start to burn

Your appeal is baseless, don't you read that the ban has been in place 3 years ago?
Yet no proactive measures are being taken by the manufacturers and users, what we see is increase in production and distribution outlets .
The environmental degradation is of paramount importance. The worst part of it was people's deliberately throwing them them away arbitrarily.
I expect other states to follow suit .

When i saw he started a company on LinkedIn and got funding i was happy for him. Was in Nigeria late 2022 expected to see his buses at Oniru/VI axis but didn’t see any. I was wondering wetin dey sup. Moral of the story- any business Nigerian government or politicians have vested Interest in avoid it.

this is sadly the same way LASG and NURTW fked up gokada, which would have been a marvellous way to takle the menace of out of control okada riders. shortsighted greed

Family / Re: House Clearance Sales.. Come In Here!!!! by uliyaah(f): 10:45pm On Dec 15, 2023
Just checking my mentions...

Well, Uber package rider is not same as Uber ride, it's usually way cheaper than even gokada and the normal delivery charges, which in most cases, is even cheaper than transporting to and from the delivery location, time spent and stress factor is also involved, why would anyone want to go through that when delivery fee is about the same or even lesser?

Don't forget that the point here is for customers that don't trust a vendor and if they can't go to the store, they can book the package pick up themselve and the rider is loyal to them and their instructions, just as if they sent a rider they know to confirm an item before paying and picking up.
Besides, when the kind of customers I've had don't have issues with paying delivery fee, why would I leave my store to engage in transporting about to make a delivery? Not even for the ones within my store area, there are people meant for that and that's even deviating from the point of discussion.

How A operates their business shouldn't necessarily be the same as how B operates, and this doesn't hinder delivering an excellent service to customers.

As there are unserious and bad sellers, so we have them in some posing as customers too.
One still sent his address and contact for delivery of my last 6feet Xmas tree last week as POD, with consent to booking delivery for the following morning, which I'd told 2 others is no more available, only for him to not pick up when rider was calling before setting off and left dm unopened till date, had to go back and giving the other interested customers story, they'd already gotten elsewhere, an unserious customer that hindered sales to another, if I'd requested payment before delivery, that wouldn't have happened.

So like I always say, it's easier to conclude when one hasn't walked the shoes of the other person.

Many legit vendors have seen more than enough in the hands of customers online, so if they're not running pod and the little or big sales they make is enough for them, fine.

Buyer also has all rights and freedom to seek purchase from another vendor that maybe offers the services they require.

All so sweet until you said you gave your customers options to send Uber rider, how much do think those will charge from Lekki to Egbeda or Iyana ipaja? That’s been selfish of you , after making sale and enjoy their patronage, you still help them waste their fund by using Uber rider that charges so high.

I have done delivery myself to ogun state in person because the customer was polite in an emergency case, I placed myself in his shoes

We can’t be perfect all the time but we should always try , I’ve had to shared delivery fee with buyers , how is that indiscipline? In yehmy case , he was in a small town in Ogun state ( I don’t want to reveal his location), not sure he even mentioned that until after the transition, I had to first transport myself to oshodi terminal all the way from Lekki for free ,I got there and started looking for vehicle going to that town, handed it to a driver , I think he was expecting the headset before the close of work and it was delayed for an hour , this guy never complained to me over 6 months ago until he used me as example on here, this is a guy that thanked me for the headset saying his wife has snatched the Jabra headset and needed another one and I told him I’ve sold all, sometimes you just don’t call an innocent person name in a matter that doesn’t concern him because you want to off their shining star, I know I sell lovely things and everyone love them

I only wish the person who got these two yesterday night will come and say how lovely and how useful they are just to shame the haters.

Well, Yehmy thanks for hating for no reason but don’t forget to wail about these kids educational tablets and other nice stuffs in my previous posts

Business / Jumia Food To Exit Nigeria By End Of 2023 by Deucalion007: 11:57am On Dec 14, 2023
Jumia will cease operations for its food delivery service, Jumia Food, in all of its operational countries, which include Nigeria, Kenya, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Uganda, and Algeria by the end of December 2023.

The company’s current priorities across its 11 operational nations are the Jumia Pay platform and its core physical goods business.

Even though Jumia Food accounted for 11% of Jumia’s Gross Merchandise Value in the first nine months of 2023, the company has had difficulty turning a profit since its founding. This indicates that between January and September of 2023, the total value of food sold on Jumia Food was $64 million, or 11% of $581 million. a measure of the enormous size at which Jumia Food was functioning, but it is not a measure of profits.

Jumia Food has had mixed results since its beginning, but in 2021 it showed a noteworthy 82% year-over-year growth, indicating the company’s solid position in the meal delivery market. Nonetheless, the business witnessed a significant drop in Quarterly Active Customers and Orders in 2023. a result of its change to concentrate on profitable areas and lower customer incentives to increase profitability.

Regarding Jumia Food staff, the company say that several will move to the main physical goods division, implying that some may face layoffs.

Bolt Food, a prominent player in the African food delivery industry, has announced its departure from South Africa and Nigeria in December 2023, coinciding with Jumia Food’s closure.

Despite Bolt Food’s efforts to expand into major Nigerian cities like Lagos, the company’s demise is ascribed to economic downturns, high inflation, and fierce rivalry from established rivals like Jumia Food, gokada, and Uber Eats.
