Saraki, your father's curse is very potent.

You can't escape. He said you will be disgraced out of office the same way you treated him. Check

And you will be humiliated. Check

Enjoy this next level of your life.
at least Saraki surpassed his father politically which is the prayers of every father. So if you are part of the O to ge crew and you still criticise Bukola for not allowing Gbemisola to succeed him then you are just a fool. Check your brain

To all the PDP people asking “why not Tinubu”. Hustle o, so that PDP can get a decent presidential candidate in 2023 and not one with serious baggage. That way, when you kick APC out of power your party can probe Tinubu.

This country will be sweet when bad leaders are thrown out every electoral cycle. But if you can’t achieve that, try not to be a witch so that you don’t get witch hunted.

obi of Onitsha was put there so that Igbo won't be left out and feel useless. Seriously who is obi of Onitsha? Even Ibadan is bigger than Anambra
pls what's the function of traditional ruler that obi of Onitsha fails to perform? It is just like telling us that governor of Lagos state is bigger than governor of Ebonyi state. Of what use is that to us and why the unnecessary comparison? Must we politicise everything in Nigeria? Beside here in the east we don't attach much importance and veneration to king unlike other region so quit the war already

GEJ has been more relevant in retirement than he could have been had it he muscled his way to second tenure. May God always guide our decisions so that the long time effects aren't disastrous. While he was in power, I criticized his lack of control over the then presidency cabal. I was also not happy with his slow pace of governance. Out of power today and in retrospect it seemed he did his best in the circumstances, even though his best wasn't enough.
I hope you are criticising this present disaster in aso Rock and the faceless cabals

What are we discussing? What are you saying Mr know all? Didn't you read my post? I said MOST USUALLY. Because a few protege have rebelled against their benefactors means all has or would? Probably their recruitment system wasn't perfect and the godfather couldn't conceal his greed enough.
Tinubu has shown us a perfect example of how to recruit loyal godchildren and how to check their excesses always.
Elrufai on his part sholves every contradiction to hire whoever he feels is an asset
You mentioned Kano, kwankwaso and Ganduje's relationship is friendship and not a godfather godson relationship so its easy for Ganduje to see Kwankwaso as a contemporary.
this kind of Godfatherism happening around Lagos can only happen in South west man. Answer me if tinubu is that crafty as you think why can't he extend his tentacle to south east. He can only be who he is in south west. By the way are you even commending Tinubus godfatherism when you should be speaking against it. Anyway some people are born to remain servants and never graduate to Oga. God fatherismt can't thrive here cos an Igbo man will never agree to serve you forever be you anything bar God. It has nothing to do with recruitment process it has to do the the persons restricted. The problem of an Igbo man in Nigeria is that he would want to grow pass him Oga one day and when given the opportunity he tries to exercised his power to make his mark. Mention any zone in Nigeria where godfatherism has thrived 100%. It has to do with the race and not process. Senator Nnamani produced all the political Actors in Enugu state today. The two governors past and present, the three senators representing Enugu, most of the ministers are his Ebeano product, the whole HOR in Enugu even the Almighty Ekweremadu of today was his progete but today he can't boast of being in control of PDP structure in Enugu. In short he was buried political by the passed administration which the current governor had to repay him for aiding his political carrier by giving him PDP ticket during general election. Fact is that Igbo's are too independent minded for godfatherism to thrive down here. Every Igbo man wants to be Oga and when presented the opportunity he goes for it.

You dey mind the bloke? Those running their mouth against Tinubu know zilch about talent identification and management. Show me any leader (whether political or private) who mentored as many powerful proteges as Tinubu. Hate or like him, Tinubu boys control this country today: Osinbajo, BRF, Ambode, Aregbesola, Fowler, Sanwo Olu, Ajimobi, Gajabiala, A Lawan, etc. All products of one man. Among them, not one is a pushover. It takes more than posting Tecno or Infinix phones to produce powerful people.

Tinubu's got the mojo. Forgerrit!!!!
Why is it taking Tinubu a whole lots of years to identify talent in south east and south south?, I think he tried and failed in IMO, with Sen.Uzodimma, Some people are just naturally subservient to their masters for the remaibder of their lives. Come here in the south east, In anambra Uba's dynasty couldn't last for 8 years even with the federal might then, in IMO Achike Udenwa was retired permently, in Abia Orji Kalu had to resurrect from political oblivion, in Enugu Olo, Nwodo, and Nwobodo dynasties where crushed two years in to the fourth rebuplic, the ever powerful then governor of Enugu Sen Nnamani dynasty (Ebeano) was teared into pieces some months after he left office. What about his predecessor, governor Chime, What about Sam Egwu and Elechi of Ebonyi? Ndigbo are naturally independent minded and will never subscribed to serve for eternity. If Tinubu is that crafty he should extend his tentacles to south east

Bro chill, I am not a Tinubu or Elrufai supporter. I dont like them because of their selfish intentions but there is one thing you can't take away from this two men, they know how to spot talents, develop and empower them to achieve what they want.
And a talent picked up from the Dunghill, processed, developed and empowered will most usually be loyal.
you have little or no knowledge of Nigerians politics. Google the governors and government of Enugu since 1999, check Anambra too, Kano Nko? Benie kwan? And many more States. It is just that some people believe they are born to serve in some region where one man can be governor since 1999.

is there any sense in what he said? Even if he said that because this administration isn't favouring him he can't be affected like ordinary man. Agbakoba is in the league of elites. You that is defending this administration how has the administration and our current constitution favoring you? How can we be doing same thing and expect a different result? But he had the power to hold some political prisoners against court orders, he has the power to withdraw money from CBN for the purchase of Aircraft without due process, he had the power to install and uninstall CJN at will. In other words are you saying that we are stuck in this country this way? Was it also the plans of Buhari and Tinubu for Saraki to be Senate president and Dogara SOHR? It will do una like magic for eye. Tinubu will never be president of Nigeria.

Nobody over Hypes Tinubu it's crystal be contributed to Buhari's success the thing is that you guys don't want to accept it because of hatred. He did it back to back even when Saraki and Atiku left he still delivered. Kiss the Truth. If Buhari will give him the same support in 2023 the possibility of him winning is high. It's obvious South /South and South/East can't stand acchance against South west when they align with the North we just saw that few months ago in the Elections.
What's APCs winning margin to PDP in the south west?. Somebody who couldn't deliver his zone to Buhari. North made Buhari president both in 2015 and 2019. Take away the winning vote if APC in the west Buhari still will win the election in both 2015 and 2019. Let's wait and see where Tinubu will manufacture the vote that will make him president. Tinubu can never be president of Nigeria and south west can never be president in 2023.

quote author=silverbirdng post=79596717]Former National President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and erstwhile Vice-Chancellor of the Imo State University (IMSU), Prof Ukachukwu Awuzie, has said that it would be difficult for power to return to the Southwest in 2023 going by power equation in the country.

According to him, even if the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, brings all the money in the world, he would not be the next President as the position will go to Northeast in 2023.

“Before, the Sokoto emblem was ‘Born to rule’; now if you look at the six geo-political zones in the country, the Southwest has served for eight years, South-south six years, put them together it isn14 years, they left Northwest alone another eight years with two years of Yar’Adua, which is 10 years, only one zone out of the three, the Northeast has not gone, North-central has not gone, the Southwest has gone, the South-south has gone, it remains the Southeast.

“Look at the number of years they have gone, South has covered 14 years; North has covered or will cover 10 years when Buhari completes his tenure.

“I don’t think they would allow the West, even if it is Tinubu, let him bring all the money in the world, the President will go to Northeast in 2023,” he said in an interview with Sun newspaper.

On the political situation in the country, Awuzie described it as wobbly, saying that sometimes it seems President Muhammadu Buhari is on holiday and detached from the problems plaguing the country.

He said, “We have a wobbling leadership, sometimes it appears to me that our president is on holidays, he has to take grip of situations.

“We are in a country you cannot go to bed with your two eyes closed, a country you cannot guarantee six hours of light, a country priding itself that we can produce 8,000megawatts when South Africa produces 30,000megawatts, you are talking of 8,000megawatts for a country of 200 million population, I think we have a long way to go.

“What I am saying is that the leadership should be more pragmatic, we must look at harnessing the best; our problem in Nigeria is that we are not using the best to drive both the economy and governance.”
