A litre of fuel going for N500? I can't believe that but still it is so true. This commodity has been a curse to Nigeria instead of a blessing. I see no reason why we have to go through all these troubles just to use something that comes from within our own ground. Okonji is claiming "sabotage" by the oil marketers, the oil marketers are claiming "unpaid" finace for their earlier supplies. But who is to be believed here? I really don't know...What I am concerned about is why do we depend 100% on fuel related issues? What are our trained technologists doing about diversifying life from oil related products? Why can't we begin to think on a way to make oil a secondary issue by going to the lab just like our foriegn counterparts to find a way to make life easier for ourselves?** Subsidized solar power can effectively replace our compromised power sector efficiently. ** Cars can work on solar too because it is very possible. But here in Nigeria we are so busy actually doing nothing! We waste our resources so much it hurts. We blackmail ourselves for personal interest cos I don't see why we can't refine our crude ourselves. PHCN seems to have liased with the oil marketers to make maximum profits in the shortest period before the in-coming govt takes place. We are just a pathetic nation and I wish things were different. It's time for our scientist to start using their brains and make life a better place for Nigerians.
