Arguing with any police officer at all is an unwise thing to do. It infuriates a trigger happy officer when angrily confronted.

You can be mistaken for a criminal and shot or arrested indiscriminately by the police who are usually on edge during such nights. Police officers are aware of the danger the faced during the wee hours and are always on alert.
3. Stay Away From Hostile Neighborhoods:

When a fight breaks out among rival gangs in hot spots and hostile areas, police deploys force to restore peace in the areas thereby if you are seen in that crime area, you maybe mistaken for a street thug and arrested and even battered before being cuffed.
4. Avoid Scenes of Violent Protests:
Most of us have had our share of the indiscriminate battery or teargassed when protesting especially in educational institutions.

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, has said that church leaders are part of the people encouraging corruption in Nigeria.

Obasanjo stated this on Saturday, while speaking at the convention of Victory Life Bible Church International in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

He was represented at the event by Femi Olajide, who is the chapel of Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library’s Christ the Glorious King Church.

“There is no doubt that all our institutions have been tarnished by the brush of corruption.

“If the Church, as an institution, does not take bribe or get involved in other corrupt practice, the behaviour of some of our men of God leaves much to be desired.

“They not only celebrate but venerate those whose sources of wealth are questionable. They accept gifts (offering) from just anybody without asking questions. This gives the impression that anything is acceptable in the house of God.

“But if Jesus can chase out those buying and selling from the temple with the declaration that, ‘My house shall be called the house of prayer, but ye have made it a den of thieves,’ then it is time to stand up against corruption,” Obasanjo said.

He also urged churches to preach prosperity messages with caution and moderation.

“Our present day ‘money changers’ and ‘merchants’ must be chased out of the Church and put to shame in the larger society.

“While miracles, signs and wonders are the expectations of true believers, such must be based on righteousness. To preach that one can acquire wealth without labour is not only deceitful; it is a call to corruption. It is false preaching and it is sinful.

“We must be careful in believing and celebrating every testimony of miraculous blessing, hence we end up being hoodwinked into celebrating corruption,” Obasanjo added.

Nigerian, Chimezie Ebiriekwe, has emerged the winner in the Associated Students presidential election.

Ebiriekwe, a native of Imo State, polled 3,454 votes in the election, which is similar to the SUG elections in Nigerian universities, to defeat his closest opponent Ben Delbick, who got 1,189; Chloe Sension (1,014) and Kaitlyn Hart (94).

1. You’ll never be able to let go of the past

The faction of the Islamist militant group Boko Haram led by Abubakar Shekau released a video on Tuesday denying that fighters are dying of hunger in its northeast Nigerian forestbase.Nigeria’s military last week said it was”ransacking” territory it said it had recaptured from Boko Haram in the hunt for Shekau, who leads one of two main branches of the jihadist group.
It also said he might be hiding in the Sambisa forest. Large parts of northeast Nigeria, particularly in Borno state, remain under threat from Boko Haram as suicide bombings and gun attacks have increased in the region since the end of the rainy season late last year.

“There is no food that we lack in this forest of Sambisa. It is not true that we have run out of food supply and that we are being killed by hunger,” said an unidentified man with a rifle, flanked by others carrying guns, in the five-minute video.

Nigeria’s army said in December that it had pushed Boko Haram out of the Sambisa forest, a vast former colonial game reserve that was the group’s stronghold, in an operation to reclaim territory lost to the Islamist insurgency since 2009.

Boko Haram split last year, with one faction led by Shekau operating from the forest and the other, allied to Islamic State and led by Abu Musab al-Barnawi, based in the Lake Chad region.“We urge all members to be one hundred percent loyal to him ,” said the man in the video. “It is not true that you killed Shekau,” he said, referring to previous claims by the Nigerian military that he had been fatally wounded.

Shekau did not appear in the video, which was circulated on social media on Tuesday. Boko Haram has killed more than 15,000 people and forced more than two million to flee their homes during its insurgency aimed at creating an Islamic state governed by a strict interpretation of sharia law in Africa’s most populous nation.

A Minna Magistrates’ Court on Monday ordered the remand of a 51 year-old-man, Mohammed Kuyizhi, in prison for allegedly impregnating a 16-year-old student.

The Magistrate, Fati Auna, ordered that Kuyizhi, the Vice Principal, Government Day Secondary School, Tunga-Minna, be remanded after he denied committing the offence.

She adjourned the case till April 5 for further mention.

The prosecutor, Abdullahi Maiyaki, had told the court that the complainant, a
junior student in the school, alleged that the defendant had sex with her three times in his office.

“The defendant always give her between N50 and N100 for her transport after the sexual intercourse,’’ he said.

According to the prosecutor, the matter was reported to the Child Right Protection Agency by a teacher, after the girl’s guardian informed the school that her ward was pregnant for the teacher.

Mr. Maiyaki said that the accused admitted that he penetrated the girl, but did not release sperm and could not be responsible for the pregnancy.

Mr. Maiyaki said that the offence contravened Sections 19 and 25 of the Child Rights Act.

A 29-yr-old man, Olanimu Babatunde, also known as Kokomaster has died of exhaustion after having an all-night s*x romp with no fewer than four ladies in his house on Thomas Street, Lagos Island.

His young s*x partners, now answering questions on the man’s curious death from the police, claimed that they never knew Olanimu was dead until around 4am on the fateful day when they realized he no longer responded to their touch.

“We thought he was enjoying it, so we were taking turns and just having fun. It was when we realized he was no longer responding that we screamed,” one of the suspects told the police.

According to an eyewitness, identified as Jide, who rushed to the scene when he heard the girls screaming, Olanimu was confirmed dead same day.

He said: “The girls, who were already intoxicated at that time, said they thought he was enjoying it, so they kept going on taking turns and just having fun. It was when they noticed that he wasn’t breathing that they started screaming.

“People rushed into the deceased’s apartment to find the four undressed girls and his lifeless body. They immediately alerted the police, who came few minutes later to arrest the suspects.”

In their statement to the police, the ladies said: “We met Olanimu on Wednesday evening when we were coming from a friend’s birthday party which we attended at Surulere. We were at a bus stop when a car suddenly stopped in front of us.

“The driver asked where we were heading, we said we were going anywhere he was heading to. He smiled and asked us to get in. When we all got in, he enquired if we were hungry, we said yes, so he took us to a restaurant and we all ordered whatever we wanted to eat. While we ate white rice and pepper soup, Olanimu ate pounded yam and egusi soup.

“After we finished eating, we continued our journey. Now, it was dark, when we arrived at Olanimu’s residence. We got out of the car and entered his apartment. While we were seated, he asked us what we wanted and we said we wanted to get high and that he should turn on the music, so he did and afterwards arranged drinks for everyone. While we drank and danced Olanimu, started touching us, kissing and spraying money. Overwhelmed by happiness, we responded and equally caressed him.”

They later ended up in his room and continued what they had started doing in the sitting room, handling one another, and having s*x.

Police investigation, it was gathered, ruled out initial suspicion that Olanimu probably died of poison.

Rather, it was linked to s*x induced exhaustion. The girls were released on bail last Saturday morning, while the remains of the deceased had since been buried by his family in line with Muslim rites.

The National Space Research and Development Agency, has decided to come in partnership with The Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, and five other countries have completed a global project for the design and manufacture of five identical nano-satellites to be launched into space in May.

A statement by the agency’s Head, Media and Corporate Communications, Dr. Felix Ale, said the satellites would be launched at Cape Canaveral in Florida, the United States of America.

According to him, the multinational satellite project, known as “Bird Project,” was introduced in 2015 by the Japanese government and implemented through the Kyushu Institute of Technology for developing countries, with the goal of enhancing space-related capacity building and human resource development.

A total number of fifteen engineers and scientists from Nigeria, Japan, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Ghana, and Thailand were selected for the project.

Ale said the nano satellites would be launched into orbit aboard SpaceX rocket and would be released from the International Space Station with an orbital parameter of altitude 460 kilometres and an inclination of 15.6.

He said the project was an innovation and excellent research model for as it would assist the agency in strengthening collaborative research with Nigerian universities.

United Kingdom deports 23 Nigerians





The number of Nigerians been deported has continued to be on the rise, as 23 Nigerians living in the United Kingdom were deported back home.

They were deported from the United Kingdom on Thursday for committing immigration-related offences in the country.

The deportees, who are all males, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMlA) Lagos at about 6.a.m on Friday.

DSP Joseph Alabi, the Spokesman of the Lagos Airport Police Command, confirmed the development.

The deportees were received by officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), and the Police.

Science has found the key to success, for men to live long and happy lives. In the United Kingdom, men, in general, are not expected to live as long as women – so maybe they need a little bit more help.
The average life expectancy for a man is 79, compared to women who are expected to live until 82 years old.
The reason for women outliving men is down to genetics, according to Medical Daily. Women have two X chromosomes, which provides them with a back-up if a mutation occurs. However, men do not have that luxury – they only have one X chromosome to express all their genes.
Lifestyle factors can also impact how long a person will live.
Here are six ways a man can boost his life expectancy.
1. Stare at bo-obs
It may seem like an inconvenience or an invasion of privacy to many women, but staring at boobs creates a positive mindset in men.
The same effect occurs when they look at cute animals. A 2012 study, published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, looked at the effects positive thinking had on men’s health.
After a year, positive thinking had a powerful effect on health choices.
More than half of the patients with coronary artery disease increased their physical activity versus 37 percent in the control group, who were not asked to write down positive thoughts in the morning.
The same happened to men with high blood pressure.
More than 40 percent of those with high blood pressure followed their medication plan compared to 36 percent in the non-positive thinking group.


2. Have lots of s*x
What every man wants to hear, but there is a good reason for it.
A study in the BMJ found that s*x could decrease a man’s mortality rate by as much as 50 percent.
It is all down to sex promoting physical well-being, as well as being a stress reliever – which can help reduce the likeliness of illness.
Not to mention sex releases serotonin, the happy hormone, which makes us feel better overall.
In the study, life expectancy increased by three to eight years in the group who reported more orgasms.
3. Get married
Not something everyone would have thought – especially those who refer to their wife as their “ball and chain,” but married men do live longer.
But it also depends on the age they get married.
A survey or more than 127,000 Americans found men who got married after they were 25 were likely to live longer than those who married young.
Researchers have questioned whether healthy men are more likely to marry than men with health problems, but unhealthy men actually marry earlier, are less likely to divorce, and more likely to remarry after divorce or being widowed than healthy men.
Others have wondered whether living with another person has health benefits.
But it seems to be both.
4. Have kids
It seems like a natural progression, really.
Men who marry and have kids live longer than those who don’t.
A study in the Journal of Epidemiology & Community Health found that when parents reached age 60, men with kids had their life expectancy gor up two years while women increased by 1.5 years.
By the age of 80, men with kids were expected to live eight months longer than those without kids.
5. Be responsible
A sense of responsibility can do wonders.
A study in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology discovered older people in nursing homes who were given a plant to care for had improved socialization, alertness, and general function.
Perhaps that is why having kids is good for you.
6. Get a ‘Dad bod’
Most men gain a bit of weight after they have kids, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.
A book, called “How Men Age,” argues that tubby men are less likely to suffer a heart attack or prostate cancer and are more likely to invest their time in their children.
Author Richard G. Bribiescas says their increased fat levels also makes them more attractive to women – which will help with the above tips.

Legendary five-time World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Evander Holyfield will in May, feature in the most anticipated exhibition boxing match that will pitch him against former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT).
According to a statement by Foluke Michael, the Project Manager of the fight, tagged “Rhumbles in Lagos’’, the match will hold on 25 May at the Eko Atlantic City and will be beamed live to the world.
Holyfield is 54, while Tinubu is 65. The charity event is the first of its kind on the African continent, she said. It will be refereed by Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka.
Tinubu in his endorsement of the BAT vs Holyfield bout, said: “I can’t wait to knock Evander down. I’m the real champion of the world!’’
The private sector-initiated event is designed as a contribution to the 50th anniversary celebration of the creation of Lagos State under the ongoing project, Lagos @50, chaired by Soyinka.

A hardworking student of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, has been crushed to death by a petrol tanker in Osun State.

A young man simply identified as Segun ‘Dada’ who is said to be a student of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede was on Thursday morning crushed to death by an unidentified fuel tanker while on his way to work, at owode-ede market in Osun state.

According to eyewitness account, the tanker ran into Segun who was trying to find his way to the other side of the road and killed him, leaving his body scattered on the road.

After the sad incident, the driver is reported to have fled the scene, which made the angry youths of the community to chase after him.

He ran to the Zone 11 police headquarters in Oshogbo.
