How I Got My Intended Marriage (Family Reunion) Visa In 1 year.

This process is for the purpose of intended marriage in Germany to be married to my German Spouse.

28th June, 2022: Applied for appointment
September, 2022: Wifey collected required documents from me
2nd November, 2022: Wifey submitted documents for background check
16th January, 2023: Lawyer in Nigeria started the background check
4th May, 2023: Verified documents arrived back in Germany
26th May, 2023: Documents translated to German
29th June, 2023: Marriage Registration
20th July, 2023: Got appointment mail from the Embassy
10th August, 2023: Went for the Visa interview
8th September, 2023: Embassy requested for A1 German Language certificate
17th October, 2023: Submitted A1 certificate at the Embassy
30th October, 2023: ABH requested additional documents from Wifey
31th October, 2023:Documents submitted at ABH
1st November, 2023: Approval Mail to submit passport for Visa
2nd November, 2023: Passport and travel insurance was dropped off at the Embassy.
9th November, 2023: Received passport with visa via DHL
22nd November, 2023: Traveled to Germany
We got married in December 2023. Glory be to God....

Hello Everyone, Please i need a little assistance about the admission process for the University of Warsaw.

A friend of mine is trying to apply to the MSc Physics program at the University of Warsaw and the repsonse updated on her application portal states 'Lack of the scan of the admission points calculation signed by the candidate'......I guess it is supposed to be a document, to the best of my understanding.

Does anyone please have an idea what that means or better still someone who must have had something similar during his/her cause of appliacation. What could be done to correct this as soon as possible; she has up until monday 13/09 to submit/update/upload the document.

Any form of assistance on how to go about this will be so appreciated.

Did they contact you aftet uni assist forwarded your application to them, or they only mailed you your acceptance letter


And how long did that take?

Only uni-assist sent me a confirmation that the application had been sent to UniPotsdam (20th May 2020). I didn't get any receipt from the school confirming that they got the application until they sent the admission notification (1st July 2020).


PS- The said admission is for a very close associate of mine and I have this information because I handled the whole processing so far.

If the U.K increased it to 2yrs how many years will you be given in Germany?

Did I hear you say that tier4 visa processing is rigorous ? Then German one will be a trip to hell and back.

As of 2019, students who start a study program in the UK are entitled up to 2years (24months) poststudy work search in the UK unlike the previous 4months duration and in Germany, students are currently only allowed 18 months of poststudy work search.

gurus in the house....asking for a friend URGENTLY.....if someone wants to apply for a Bachelors' Degree in Germany and a English language proof is required, which is best advisable to present......
NB- the person in question already has a degree from a Nigerian university and a letter of English proficiency to back it up......

1. It's nothing. People did same and were successful.

2. While filling your application form, fill BLOCKED ACCOUNT.
Also, on the interview day, tell them it's blocked account. When asked if you have a relative in Germany or EU, answer Yes, an uncle in Berlin or whatever. It will ease the substitution later.

3. If you know anyone in mainland, you can stay mainland and use cab very early morning. You will pay only 2 - 3k. Hotels in VI are costly. Ensure you leave home at least 5am.

Hi guys, so I'm filling my visa application form as against my appointment later this week...I intend to use a sponsorship letter but due to the holiday season and unforeseen circumstances, i won't be available to present it on my interview date this week..I intend to go with my blocked account details which I opened in August for the winter semester 2017 but couldn't meet up for due to the embassy appointment situation...so I have a few questions I want you guys to help me out on.....

1) How do I go about using my blocked account details for the interview and later submitting my sponsorship letter when I get it without complicating issues for myself (read about a similar situation on this thread but can't locate precisely the page that is).
2) When asked about my means of sustenance on the application form, should I fill blocked account or sponsorship (considering my above situation).
3) On a lighter mood, how did you guys that have already gone for the interview sort out hotel accommodation issues (as par high pricing on the Island) cos I intend to be in Lagos a day before my D-day to avoid stories that touches(Lagos recent traffic and fuel palaver)..

Mine is still 7:00am January 8th , please how can I be sure I got the appointment, because people are saying sometimes they get to the embassy and they tell them their name was not booked for the day

Try to send the visa consulate section a mail via the contact link at the bottom of the embassy website page, you'll get a msg like this if your appointment is booked. I sent them a mail using this method yesterday morning and I got this response before the close of the day.

Pls guys around Ibadan, where can I get the WAEC access scratch card?? My interview is slated for the 29th of this month.....

I need some advise here, I can't raise £8640 before January for the block account, I can raise it after then though, my booking is for January 8 and I'm caught between deferring the admission and cancelling the booking or wait for a miracle. The other option of a German sponsor came up short as the person has a commitment already, got the news this morning. Is there a way I can go around this?

Man, you can go for your interview without funding your account to the required amount...You just hav e to be able to fund before a certain date which the embassy will communicate to you if and when your visa is going to get approve....you don't need to cancel/defer ur appointment and admission just yet...

I'm Elijah and I'm a graduate of Architecture. Pls can anyone help with any University I can apply to, that offers Architecture Masters in English? Looks like its an Herculean task.

I've use the DAAD search engine, but can't seem to find a school offering the course in English. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anhalt University of Applied Sciences Dessau (Bauhaus also known as DIA)
They both offer master in Architecture taught in English but a little tuition is involved (less than €1000 though) and admission is mostly during winter semester.
