48hrs might be too late for Home self testing kits, you have to consider issues with delivery. I would suggest atleast 3-5 working days before your Arrival into the UK.

You can only pay for Priority via the TLS Portal and not at the VAC. I believe you can still do so but you may lose your current appointment date.

It's best practice. You can never tell if or when your SOA will be verified. I confirmed that my SOA was verified with the Bank on the 12th of August, same day I received a non-straightforward email. I received a Decision Made email a few days later further to a Paided Email.

Not Compulsory but its advisable so that the Visa Officer is able to easily count the SOA period.

You can use both, one can be where you live and the other can be your Mailing address. You can also decide to stick to one of them, has no impact on your Visa decision.

Thanks @duolu2021, it is that part on TB test where they asked for FULL RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS not the UK Address. So the address I put there is my 2nd home while the address I put on my bank statement is my permanent home address

Has no impact on your application. You are allowed to have more than 1 address. The First can be your main Address or where you live whilst the second can be your Mailing Address.

I think we have had a couple of people with this issue here as well, not too sure how many pages back so you can track but if I remember correctly, I believe you would have to pay for assisted service at the vac and they would upload the document for you. Fee remains same as you for assisted service.

Yes, this is accurate, you will need to pay for assisted service at TLS for this document to be added. In my own case, I took with me all the documents I had uploaded already and gave them to be scanned in addition to the new document at the VAC.

With the way Priority service has been going now, it might be best if you considered Super Priority if you can afford it. All the best.

Any banking transaction has TRANSATION date and a VALUE date. The VO could not read or understand that which made the miracle AR happen in the shorted possible time. It may not have been the new statement of account, but reading the first one right the second time.

TRANSACTIONS done on weekend have the VALUE date of the next business day.

That said, I can print my statement for a 28 day period with the date range clearly stated, say 18th of July to 16th of August with no single transaction between those dates, except maybe interest payment if it is a savings account or COT for a current account. My OPENING balance will state I held those funds since the 18th of July. The first and maybe only transaction line will read on the 30th of July - Interest paid.....

The VO was either affected by the rush, a newbie or a just a denial hippie.

Congrats! Another good reason not to take out the funds.

Your explanation is very valid but it may not register as a correct or complete SOA to some ECOs. All the samples that I found online, especially from some universities refrenced the transaction column in calculating the POF period. It just best to perform a transaction on the first day and another on the 28th/29th day to avoid stress.

As with this Visa process, because something worked out for you doesn't mean it will for another candidate.

I agree with you completely, ECOs are prone to mistakes and are probably under immense pressure as a result of the peak period. Its just best that the first day and the last day of your 28day count is reflected as transactions. It's best to be on the careful side than to endure the process of an Administrative Review.

Good morning everyone, I Believe someone can learn from my experience.
CAS issued on 3rd August,
VISA Application on 4th August
Biometrics at V.I. on 5th August
Priority VISA
VISA Decision on 12th August and Guess what?
I got a refusal letter from UKVI
I nearly died, I felt life going out of me, like my dreams and aspirations just crumbled.
However, I read in between the lines and saw I could request for an administrative review which I did.
Now, what really happened?
I submitted a statement of account from FCMB dated 12th June to July 11th (common sense, that's 29 days). However, UKVI counted 27 days and on that basis refused my application. A closer look at the statement, I discovered FCMB brought the first transaction on that account which was 12th June down to 15th June. Now, June 12 was a Saturday so you'll expect that the transaction should reflect on Monday 14th June which would have made it exactly 28 days when counted from 14th but my dear FCMB brought in the transaction on Tuesday 15th June hence making it 27 days.
I had to pay extra 80 pounds for administrative review. I also requested a new SOA for about two months from my bank which I submitted as evidence during the review process. I equally printed the email alert I received for the transactions that I did on June 12 which the bank brought in June 15.
I wrote an emotional message to UKVI admitting I could have checked the SOA thoroughly before uploading. That I did the night of August 12th and I was told a new decision will be made within the next 28 days. I kept on praying while I informed Teesside of my ordeal. It was indeed a trying time. God took me to the end of myself so he can take all the glory. My smartness failed me and I had no choice but to expect a MIRACLE.
I was driving home from work yesterday 16th August when I got the good news that my passport was available for pick up. I didn't believe the mail, I had to go back to track my application and lo and behold, all the stages were duly marked.
God is indeed a good God, he never fails. If I got my VISA after a refusal letter, then, rest assured, yours will come too.
Keep hope alive!
Those who are just applying can learn one or two lessons from my experience.

So I am sort of justified with my paranoia with regards the first SOA that I submitted, hence why I submitted an updated one reading a full 28days on the Transaction column instead of relying on the Case worker to use the SOA period.

I collected my visa back from TLS vi without the Brp letter in it ,so I placed a call through to Ukvi because I was worried.
On calling them they said it Twas no issue that they’ll send the letter to me via email .

I just got an email asking me to submit my passport to the nearest visa application center for correction based on the call I made.

I really don’t know what to do . I already booked my flight for September.
Pls as anyone had this issue be for and how long will it take for my passport to get returned if I submit it .
I applied using priority earlier.

For my application, my school adviced that I send my BRP to them by inputting the school's address during my Visa application and collect it during my enrollment.

Since they are saying you should send to the nearest VAC, I am suspecting you can do this from anywhere in the world. Weigh your options and decide your next course of action, cheers.

Not exactly, from precedence on this group, some people have gotten decision made updates after day 2 or 3, when the status changes to recieved by VAC and when you will receive your collection emails are another kettle of Fish.

I did mine on the 6th of August at VI - Priority, I plan to send a paid email tonight to follow up. I suggest you should send an email so you can atleast know that status of your application. All the best.

Open a Pound account at Sterling Bank for example, they will issue you with a Pound Debit Mastercard which you can use to transact anywhere in the world. You can hold cash but try to limit it to no more than £5,000. Depositing large volumes of Cash in a Bank in the UK will also raise eye brows.

No, only your Cabin Luggage or Bags.

Qatar is never direct, you will transit through Doha, and transit time for Qatar is usually long.

Not always the case, I have found flights with transit time of less than 3Hrs, although I wouldn't know if these are still available.
