Nice analysis...This is how educated people should relay their points i.e backing it up with facts and points that can be verified and not just talk for talking sake which is the regular way most Semi literates do.

There is no way anyone can give a perfect review on a product if they never owned or used one,its really myopic for any so called engineer or mechanic to give funny reviews based on some vehicles brought to their workshops that could have been messed up by the poor maintenance habits of the owner or what have you.

In summary there are lots of good cars out there,but the only problem are the bad owners and incompetent Mechanics that lack the technical know how to handle them and they just simply tag the vehicles ' Problematic '...Mazda,Mitsubishi,Volvos,Volkswagen etc. are majorly the brands that falls within this category,these are very great cars that are durable,reliable and hardly get stolen,their parts are also readily available everywhere either the OEMs or the other lesser qualities depending on your pocket.

Buying a car is a serious decision therefore,people should endeavor to do their personal research or even conduct surveys before making a final purchasing decision rather than relying singularly on opinions of their Mechanics that are mostly flawed and driven by their personal gains at the end of the day.

Even if they embezzle some funds which is debatable, the common masses can still see and enjoy some tangible basic infrastructures like good roads,schools,Hospitals and what have you.Governor Raji Fashola is an Elite and one of the best thing that ever happened to this state,his great contributions and efforts are what Governor Ambode built on,Calling him a tribalist just because he could not touch your part of the state is just simply been myopic.

Its high time we stopped seeing things from the ethnicity point of view,if you are a law abiding citizen and ready to abide by the laws of your immediate locality then Lagos state and Nigeria should be a home for all...My own little opinion!

You need to understand that not everyone of us are built for doing things the hard way..no matter what anyone can say as far as driving on Lagos roads is concerned,an Automatic is still the most preferable...its actually good to learn with a manual though..but on a good day who cares if you dont know how to drive a manual,so far you can move yourself from point A to point B then that is all that matters.

I work for an Auto dealership and i can categorically tell you that for Sedans and SUVs category everyone wants an Automatic,manual is only considered when you are looking at the Pickups and trucks which are majorly for commercial purpose..Summary based on Sales Statistics there is higher demand for automatic across all categories of vehicles as at now in Nigeria and most dealers would rather stock more autos than the manual that gets to sit more in your showroom.If anyone wants an exercise he or she could check into the gym and sweat it out there..driving to me should be pleasurable and not be a workout session.

Maintaining an Automatic is also not as crazy and expensive as u people made it sound,so far you use the recommended ATF which you might never get to change for years depending on your usage then you are good to go....Life is already stressful as it is why add more additional stress through driving around again...My own 2 cents

Many years ago there was nothing like auto everyone drives manual without complaints. But as soon as auto gradually fill d environment men n women begins to to shift to auto n condemning manual. It is a trick the brain do to us by rejecting an old thing just bc an alternative has arrived.


The only time I had stress in my legs was when I was learning how to drive from 1st,2nd,3rd day.After sometimes my body got used to it.


DRIVING IS LIKE EXERCISING YOUR BODY FOR THE FIRST TIME,U MUST DEFINITELY FEEL PAIN.E.g Do push up to get necessary muscles flex today and tomorrow u l feel pain all over your body.But when u keep on with it daily,your body gets used to it without stress.Who get pained after washing clothes with their hands?Some will use washing machine which cannot manage your water,detergent and electricity bc it is automatic.

Summary:

Manual car:
*Few days of driving is stressful.
*Becomes very less stressful as u drive daily like exercises.
*Cheap to maintain bc you have already paid the rest with your legs(which disappears as time passes).
*Errors e.g bad battery and key starter can be manage by pushing the car to start.( No way for auto).
*Less fuel usage since you can control it.

Auto car:
*First day of driving is stress free.
*Expensive to maintain since you dont want to pay with your legs.
* Errors as above cannot be achieved.Never!!!
*More fuel usage since you want the car to drive U.


N.B: Price of Gear box of auto na die oooo.The choice is yours.

Wow!!!would be so glad if this is really true..those guys are something else on the road...I saw this on Punch news online this evening. I learnt Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode has take them off our roads for good.

This is such a welcome development as I feel this guys are no longer relevant again since we have the FRSC and LASTMA doing same job...I need someone else to also Confirm this news.
