Pls your advice is highly needed here house. I am thinking I might get Master's degree easily because of long study gap since I finished my B.Eng.

seggzzy:
Good day all the gurus in the house who have been helpful. I have been following this thread for a while.
Last year, I got admission with Niagara College, Welland, Canada for two different courses: 1- Computer programming (undergraduate diploma certificate- 2years
2- Industrial Automation (Graduate Certificate- 1 year program)
For reason of career progression I accepted Industrial Automation which I later deferred. For the sake of visa and employment purposes, Pls I need your advice on which one to go for. Hope a year program is not too risky? Thanks I have B.Eng in Elect/Elect. Engrn 13yrs ago with 2.1. I currently work as Utility Engineer in manufacturing industry.

Sit down alone and think. Since you have been going to club, what good has the club done to your finance, your health and wellbeing?
For you to come out and talked about it here, it simply shows that you want to stop and don't want to continue clubbing. But there's is a stronger force pushing you back into clubbing which you cannot resist.

Here is the solution, you must resist the urge, if you are living alone, once the time of clubbing is getting near get busy with something else. Try to pray like tthi, say that "spirit of clubbing I am no longer your slave, leave me, get out of my life, in the name of Jesus" Then, say "Lord Jesus help me, deliver me today and set me free in Jesus name "

Now, you must discover your inner strength, when the urge comes resist it, don't keep quiet say " I am not clubbing again, I hate clubbing, repeatedly while you pray that God should help you.

Anyone with the 3-page form to fill at NIS office, I learnt they sell it #300 at Alausa. I don't want to go there because of this. Pls help your brother.
Travel / Re: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by seggzzy(m): 7:28pm On May 09, 2022
Thank you. I really appreciate your response. I already made copies of passport (data page and back page), printed her payment receipt, application form, appointment slip, guarantor form and stamp it at court, and I intend to get e-verification form as you said over there. She will write the application letter as you have said also. The only thing I plan to go and get for her is the state of origin certificate, which I don't know the cost at Ikeja, court area.
Thank you once again.

Ifeoba:
Which center are you capturing?

1. After capturing, you must be given an enrollment slip. Alausa center always right collection date on the enrollment slip you will get after capturing. They will give you back your old passport even before capturing. The old passport is only needed during physical verification of your documents, perhaps, it is your property not theirs.

2. You wife will write application letter with biro on a plain white A4 paper. She will address it to PCO of the NIS center. There's no major format. Just regular formal letter of application. Don't forget that you will need e-verification form. They sell it for N300 at any photocopy shop at Aluasa center. I don't know about other center. For the photocopy of your old passport, you're to do the data page and also last page. You can also buy file strings along in case the verification officer did not have on his/her desk. This will make things easy for you on the capturing date. Get to the center early even if they give you afternoon time for your appointment.

All the best.

It's possible that your passport is ready, but the officer still want to extort you by collecting extra 10k from you. These officers have no conscience at all and are very greedy. Despite the fact that he has extorted you by collecting #45k for a passport of #26k he is still looking for more.

Alexjohn2020:
I captured on the 3rd of march at Festac office, since then I haven't gotten my passport, I even called an immigration lady that assisted me this morning and she told me that they are still stuck with those that captured in January, I did a renewal and was given an option to pay normal 45k or 55k to fast track. I chose the 45k route and this morning she's reminding me that I should have paid for the 55k that now there is no booklet .... I really don't get how I'm buying a booklet for 10k

Good day Gurus in the house. I want to sincerely thank those who put this platform together and those who have devoted their time to provide answers to questions on this forum. May God bless you real good. You don't know how much you have helped us on this platform.

Before I got to know about this forum, I already paid 42k to immigration officer who did my expired passport for me years back. My capturing date is May 19th and I paid around March 21st or so.

My questions:
(1) After capturing can I demand my enrollment slip, old passport and what else from this officer to enable me know my collection day.

(2) I just completed DIY renewal payment for my wife today on their portal, the while process was so easy. I paid #26k. I have read from page to page on this forum and I know about all documents I should gather for capturing, July 6th, the whole of June have been booked.
My question here is about the hand written letter; does my wife need to write application letter for renewal as part of the docs or is it not a child that needs Consent letter from parents. Pls I need clarification on this. Thanks. Also, I plan to do DIY for my three daughters, never again will I patronise any officer.

Thank you so much. Your advice is well appreciated.

ShowYoung:

Having experience in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, I think GCert in Industrial Automation is good for you because:
1. GCert will show academic and career progression.
2. You can easily switch to Industrial Automation being an engineer if you can convince the visa officer and if there's undoubtable proofs that the job prospect is good.

If you choose to study Computer Programming at diploma level, visa officer may have a concern that you have BEng already, why going for diploma now especially that your job duty is nothing related to Computer Programming or Software Engineering? Apart from that, there is a 10 year study gap, this can be supplemented by your job experience.

Hence, it is natural that an Electrical Engineer may desire to switch career to Industrial Automation for the fact that it is reasonably feasible with good explanations to convince the visa officer

Good day Gurus in the house. I gained admission into Niagara college this year March for Post Graduate Course, schl to resume September,2022. My questions:

1) My passport expires April 29th, but I have applied for passport renewal since April 4th. My capturing date is May 19th.

But I was told collection of passport may extend to end of June and I want to use the passport to process visa application. School resumption is September, this year and visa processing is longer nowadays.
I wrote the school to defer the admission and they said the program only take place once in a year, that next intake should be September 2023. Alternatively I should take another course. I have checked, other courses available are diploma, no other PGC. I have B.Eng already.

Should I defer to next year or there is a way to fast track collection of passport and will I still be able to get visa to meet September resumption? Thanks for your anticipated response.

But, someone advice that going for a Diploma (2yrs) might raise a challenge for a BEng holder. Like myself I have 2yrs Diploma course offer and a year graduate course. Which one is advisable for me. Thanks

feistymikey:
A one year program will give you a 1-year work permit.
A two year program will give you a 3-year work permit. I think that’s better…
But then, it all depends on what your end goal is.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by seggzzy(m): 5:00pm On Mar 30, 2022
Ok, thanks. Should I write them for a change of programme, since I accepted one and others automatically declined.
PatrickOkunima:

Okay. Thanks. A degree holder going for a Diploma is a bit challenging. You can get 3 years PGWP by going for another one year program while in Canada to make it 2 years study.

Pls @ frankrobbn 1, @ makano, @ketima and @Anon123 and other guru in the house.

Good day house, pls I need your guidance.
I just received two admission letters to study at Niagara College, Canada, after several rejection letters from Universities to study Master's Degree.
I have a B.Eng in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and 10yrs work experience in electrical/mechanical engineering in food and beverage industry.
My ambition is to finish my studies, get job and apply for PR

I will like to know which of the two letters to accept:
(1) Computer programming- Diploma (2yrs)
(2) Industrial Automation- Graduate Certificate (1yr)

Note: what are the things I need to do to have a successful visa application?
Thanks.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by seggzzy(m): 4:25pm On Mar 30, 2022
I applied in January and received letter of acceptance in March.

I was advised by someone to pick Computer programming (Diploma course) and that since it is a 2-yr course it would give me up to 3yrs work permit after completion. I have already accepted it, but my fear is that, hope it would not raise any question while applying for visa on the ground of career progression.

PatrickOkunima:

Please, I'll like to ask, how many weeks after applying did you receive an offer from Niagara College? I have an open application.

As for your question, you stand a better chance with Industrial Automation - Graduate Certificate.

Romance / Re: Have You Ever Been Caught Masturbating. by seggzzy(m): 4:09pm On Feb 23, 2022
You need to know that it would disgrace & embarrass you one day, if you don't stop it. In fact, getting married is not the solution. It would even kill the feeling to make love with your wife after doing it. Nobody can help you to stop it except yourself. Accept that it's a bad habit.

Determine that you don't want to continue to do it.

TRY THESE:
1) Anytime the urge to do it comes, go and urinate asany times as possible, once you feel like doing it.
2) Don't entertain any imagination of sex, cut it off from your eyes by thinking of another thing.
3) Stop watching Ponography
4) Stop putting your hands inside your trouser to hold your manhood, know that people are watching you.
5) If you are alone try to engage yourself with something meaningful, think about your life and what you can do to make it better...

If you practice this exercise regularly, you will see that, you will hate masturbation very soon. If at anytime you mistakenly do it again, don't say I cannot stop it, fight it next time until you overcome it completely. Mind you it is very much possible to stop it.

Finally, pray to God in your closet to help you to stop this bad habit, so that you don't pass it to your children. Your children would do it in your presence if you don't stop it and you won't be able to caution them.

I do not condemn you but I encourage you to strive to stop it now....

Good day house, pls I got a Toyota Corolla from someone. I noticed that he has changed all four tyres to bigger rims, i.e 215/65/R16. The ride is noisy and tyre rubbing body when turning.
What should I do:
(1) change all tyres only to 205/60/R16 and retaining the R16 rims
(2) Change both the tyres and rims to R15, 1.e 205/60/R15

Or do I have a better option. Thanks
