PhonesRe: Mtn Family And Friends Glitch by segunobe(m): 10:48pm On Apr 24, 2013
This a call to all phone users to boycott the use of MTN lines at least for the next few days or if have to use it,don't recharge your sim. Your airtime will be deducted without justification. Its happened to me twice today. The first timee,I called the customer service and the operative apoligised and said it will be refunded.that the deduction was due to maintanance. But when I asked when I will be refunded, he said "after the maintanance, pls just call us." When asked how long the maintanance will take so I'll know when to call back, he said "I really can't say". Only for me "load" my phone again and the same thing happened immediately after. I'm not trying to "pour sand in anybody's garri" but just so you all won't fall mugu. Cos if you no get airtime, you no fit mistakenly call,MTN doesn't have any freebies to offer subscribers and still turn around to "rob" us. Abeg this is too much.pls folks, avoid them like a plague if you can till after the "maintanance" wey no get end.

Buhari is not the Major sponsor. But it is very irresponsible of him to play politics with such a sensitive issue as the unity and continued existence of Nigeria.

Alxmyr: You never knew? That is sarcastic!
The relevance?
The scandal of their certificate forgery broke out the same time.
Salisu Buhari faced the music and pay the price.
"Bob Chicago" hide under immunity, hired Agberos and even attack Chief Gani fawehinmi, when Fawehinmi insisted on going to court. The rest is history.
So who is the "one" leader? Muhammadu Buhari I guess? And as for bob chicago,I don't think I've heard of any serving or past Nigerian Governor that bears such name. Now to your story what is morale value of that story to the koko of our discussion? BTW, pls send a message to sincerenigerian that I'm still awaiting his response. And if he can't respond, make in use shame com chop the humble pie for all rubbish he wrote earlier.

Alxmyr: Just as Bob Chicago that was caught but denied and hide under immunity as governor of Lagos to evade justice.
Yet he is leader of the opposition today. Thanks to Lagos press. But Gani Fawehinmi and co knew better.....
I never knew Nigerian opposition had "one" leader. BTW,what has that got to do with the discussion?

Sincere 9gerian: Tinubu's internet dog has spoken
Dude, are you evading my question? For the records I ask you again-what qualifies Salisu Buhari for the appointment? And as for Bola Tinubu,I respect and admire him a lot as a person and his political sagacity and relevance cannot be over emphasised. But the idea of you guys tagging anybody who has a contrary opinion yours a Bola Tinubu apologist make you seem like a pathetic bunch of crybabies.

From the look of things, that's not an impossibility.

Alxmyr: Integrity does not mean you never fall or make mistake.
It means you bounce back after the fall and wake tall despite all odds.
Leave the dude Mr. Righteous Integrity.
I don't see how giving him a federal government appointment translates to bouncing back and walking tall. Remember,he was caught. So don't try to make it seem like he repented or regretted his actions.lemme also make it known to all that Salisu Buhari's case brought the word forgery to my consciousness as a kid. And it was during my undergraduate days as a political science and public administration student that I really go to nitty-gritty of what he did. Imagine if he wasn't caught,he would have ended up fooling thw whole Nation.

Alxmyr: That was 14 years ago, he had done more positive things than that single incidence.
Beside, the justice system has taken care of that and he has served his punishment for it.
Afterall Tinubu also did the same thing, but your press in Lagos covered him....
Pls tell us a few of the positive things. And if you can't then its obvious you're just running your loose mouth on behalf of your paymasters.Cos I know you're all good at evading such questions.
PoliticsRe: Reunebn Abati Is At His Usual Mischief Again! by segunobe(op): 11:23am On Apr 13, 2013
Alxmyr: What is the gravity and the relevance of a governing board?
Does the governing board improve the quality of lectures and welfare of students and lecturers?
Does the governing pay staff salaries?
Does governing board decide who graduate and who does not?
Does the governing board appoint who becomes VC?
At most the governing board is part of the over-bloating bureaucracy we all talk about.

So pls Mr. Man don't sweat the small stuff....
If the board is as irrelevant as you want to make it seem, then there should be no need for it.whatever is worth doing at all,is worth doin well! And Mr man, integrity is the key word here.

Alxmyr: then amend the constitution to suit your hating self.
Even presidency, the qualification is simple, talkless of advisory body of a university.
Why make mountain out of mole-hill?
Someone who forged a university certificate now appointed into the advisory body of a university?shocked
Is that what you call making a mountain of a mole-hill?if this is not a "mountain",then I wonder what is.continue to brandish your foolishness on a public forum.

Alxmyr: That even if you sin, your country can forgive you and re-absorb you again into the society.
Just as Shina Rambo was forgiven and re-absorbed after he had genuinely repented
Its very obvious you don't understand the relevance and gravity of an appointment by the federal government. The government should be very conscious of integrity when making appointment. For you to try to trivialise this issue makes it obvious that you're not too bright. Re-absorbed indeed!
PoliticsRe: Reunebn Abati Is At His Usual Mischief Again! by segunobe(op): 11:07am On Apr 13, 2013
When asked what qualifies Salisu Buhari for the appointment, Abati responded thus "the constitution doesn't say there's any specific qualification or requirement for appointment to the governing council of a federal university. So anybody can be appointed to the position.Even a parent of an undergraduate by virtue of the fact that such a person has an idea of what goes on in school and educational sector at large".
PoliticsRe: Reunebn Abati Is At His Usual Mischief Again! by segunobe(op): 10:56am On Apr 13, 2013
Alxmyr: Poster, let him that has no sin be the first to cast stone...

He committed the crime. He admitted he committed the crime.
He was made to face the music for such crime, hence losing his post as speaker and as well as his seat in House of Reps.
He was pardoned. And he moved on with his life.
God forgive our sins and commanded us to forgive others

let me educate you a bit. In our constitution, after 10 years of conviction, you can be hold any position.

Let the dude be, he has suffered enough. Leave Salisu Buhari alone plssssssss.
Does it have to be thesame field where "in shit for church"? What kind of message is being passed to students of that institution?

InsicereNigerian, you again? Do you call me a foot soldier of APC? Ok,can you kindly tell us what qualifies Salisu Buhari for the appointment. Not everybody thinks with their belly like you.
PoliticsRe: Reunebn Abati Is At His Usual Mischief Again! by segunobe(op): 10:44am On Apr 13, 2013
This is just too much! An insult on our collective sense of reasoning. Imagine Reuben abati saying the appointment is even too small or demeaning for a "Former speaker of the house of reps"
PoliticsRe: Reunebn Abati Is At His Usual Mischief Again! by segunobe(op): 10:41am On Apr 13, 2013
Reuben said Salisu Buhari has been pardoned so its ok to appoint him. Forgeting that it doesn't change the fact that he commited the crime.

Sincere 9gerian: "Now he's the mouthpiece of the same people who makes the life of Nigerians more difficult"

Did you just utter that gibberish? What do you mean by "Now he's the mouthpiece of the same people who makes the life of Nigerians more difficult"? Perhaps you were refering to Fashola and Tinubu who may be making "the life of (Lagosians) more difficult" (according to you)

In case you were refering to the govt of GEJ, I'm sorry you'r WRONG. Besides the increment of fuel price, which was by the way, inevitable, your comment is BASELESS and SENSELESS. About the fuel price increase, that was inevitable as it would HAPPEN over and over again, except crude oil price comes down. As long as crude oil price is increasing, ANY govt in power will inevitably increase fuel price. The reason is, fuel is a commodity, like any other commodity.

Beside the fuel price increase, I dont see how the following has "made life more difficult for Nigerians":
- revival of the rail transport system
- YOUWIN
- graduate internship scheme
- SURE-P women and youth empowerment scheme that employs 5,000 unskilled persons per state and pay them monthly stipends for 5hrs per weekdays work.
- Airport remodelling and Aviation reforms
- Building of cargo Airports
- Construction of Almajiri schools
- Massive road rehabilitation, re-construction and construction
- Agric reforms including new ways of distributing fertilizers and farm inputs that ensure farmers receive subsidized farm inputs DIRECTLY
- Ongoing power reforms and privatisation
- Creation of 12 new federal universities
- Increased funding for federal and select state higher institutions
- Rehabilitation of federal unity colleges
- Local content law in oil and gas
- Empowering local contractors by giving them every contract worth N5billion and below
- Credible elections
Etc,etc

If anything, ALL of the above, are and will make life better for Nigerians.

Most times, critics turn BLIND eye to all of the above, while at same going on and on about corruption, corruption and corruption. Well, if you like, you can build another twin towers with the word- corruption- but the FACT is that corruption has existed since 1960 and is ALWAYS an easy tool for those who want political power through the back door. Therefore, no one should be bothered about the NOISE by anti-corruption e-warriors.

What matters, as far as I'm concerned are CONCRETE things, listed above, that affect the lives of ALL Nigerians DIRECTLY.

By the way, GEJ became president in mid 2010, after the death of Yar Adua. So you alone know how you calculated your 4yrs. All LIARS, except they repent, have comfortable seats reserved for them in the hottest part of HELL
Its not sufficient to just write a list of "supposed" achievement. Why not publish a list of people who have benefitted from all these largese? That's what gives your list credibility and substance. Its obvoius your name is an irony. By the way thanks for the correction and there's no need getting hot headed or agitated,ok?

These are tested technocrat with very commeendable antecedents. For those rooting for ifeanyi uba,did you all bother to do a background check and find out the basis of his immense wealth?
