Travel / Re: Is Ojodu-Berger Bus Stop Toilet The Most Sophisticated Public Toilet In Nigeria? by Seila(m): 2:48pm On Nov 01, 2018
autojosh this post get as e be oooo. Maybe it has not been "commissioned" but it is well available for public use. And yes, it is the most sophisticated public toilet I have ever seen. You don't have to flush or clean up the place, once a user leaves, the doors go shut for an automated cleaning and disinfection before giving access to the next user.
The only public toilet I have ever used in Lagos as it doesn't smell.
So its not just lying there...its opened for use...who needs to commission a public toilet anyway?

Note: I think the thing is built to "self-maintain"...so long as people go in, do their stuff and leave. The attendants will even tell you not to press any button while you're in there.
Education / Re: NUC budgets N8m for research, N85m to purchase vehicles by Seila(m): 8:00am On Nov 21, 2017
Omooba77:

Spending more than 91% on depreciating asset and less than 9% on research shows our priority as a nation

If I will put aside what I was thought in accounting, I'd say they are depreciating liabilities because more money will be spent fueling and maintaining those vehicles than the benefits they will serve.....85m...chai, double jeopardy.

Was he sleeping or what? Hope nothing happened to him?

I wasn't there but I want to believe he was not sleeping...any JJC in ilorin has the potential of having an accident on that road at 80km/hr.
And for those wondering if the road isn't wide enough or if it was a case of over speeding, I can take some spare time tomorrow to go to that exact spot and get a full snap shot of that portion of the road....then you can decide why the car suddenly grew wings.

Kwara government be constructing good roads in newspaper, potholes everywhere like......smh

Speaking after an assessment tour of areas affected by flood, he said;

"There must be effective dredging of River Benue as a long term solution to flooding in Benue State."

lalasticlala

I think SOMETIMES we are our own problems. I've witnessed the dredging of a river in one of the states in Nigeria with the government of the state making pleas via radio announcements and billboard adverts for people to stop dumping refuse in that river....this year, same river went over its bank, houses were flooded, now the people who wouldn't listen to instruction or use common sense are now shouting for help.
