LordofNairaland:Well I feel the mistake we made believing that corruption was why we were the way we were has become our bane. Nepotism is another bad one, one this administration is known to smell of. Unwillingness to consider the welfare of the ordinary man, is another one. These and more are the reasons so much is alleged to be recovered yet no progress is seen. My opinion is that the agravated state of the receding economy is as a result of high mismanagement so far done by this administration and not neccesarily the reckless spendings of the past years |
damagepbuh:well peace if you say. You see, we all want peace but rightly not peace through suppression. We all want peace borne on the wings of oneness and common sense. I often marvel at the level of illiteracy here, within the northern general populace which tends to support violence but even more bothered about the docile nature of southerners who always tend to be at the receiving end. |
damagepbuh:Pls don't push the idea that you are that much of a coward. "Hausas will declare war... ". Can you imagine how you sound? Even northerners like myself cringe at the level of cowardice down south. It pains me for you lot. Like only northerners know hw to use arms. |
see the face of the man who imported the deadliest type of hunger that is sporadically killing Nigerians.

lol. Could be looking for PPA. |
I can bet that majority of persons there only wore the Jersey to be able to get food. |
well I think, the beauty the flag or otherwise is inconsequential as it stands. Basic fact is; the flag is an accepted national symbol, and someone designed it. The present neglect is symptomatic of a culture of forgetfulness and disregard for our selves and collective heritage. In Nigeria as it stands, you are not neglected because "the flag is not even fine sef". You are, simply because we have lost the sense of value others attach to certain things. After all, the super falcons are the champions of Africa yet, have to protest to get their pays. Funny enough , the minister seems to maintain, they weren't expected to be victorious. Too bad! And for a final addition, the current flag representation was not how akinkunmi had rendered it, it was modified.

tbaba1234:well i would wonder, if after the whole devastation in the north east , we pick chibok local gov. and talk of reconstruction, and even so it would last many years. i would wonder even more if we only talk of ogoni land in relation to the Niger delta and so over 30 years. well lets see ... |

For your first point, by every standard the president has over and over again contravened the principle of federal character by his appointments, for instance his appointments into agencies under the ministry of interior as well as other agencies such as NTA, VON, NBC, etc. Shows he has concluded that there are a specific people who deserve to enjoy his ruler ship over others. For your second point, it is true the agitations have been on for quite long, but the big question is, why now? But you needn’t look far to get the answer, BUHARI!!! He boldly said he will not treat those who gave him 5% as those who gave him 95%. What do you get when you make martyrs of them, when they protest for self-determination and all you do is give a shoot at sight order to your horde of security personnel. What you do is wake the sleeping giants. And I must ask, whatever happened to “the pen is mightier than the sword”, subtlety, dialogue etc? For your third point, I would ask you, how many such “section of people” have their current president insulted their intelligence by a grazing bill, by a 5% theory, by virtually no appointments because for all I care, those appointed so far from south-south and south-east into this government were those that have been time and again considered as betrayers of trust in their regions or had contributed in kind and the president was in their debt Etc. You asked why there were agitations only when there were northerners and westerners in power. I wish to ask you then, for how long have people from the south east and south-south really been in power ever since independence. Name them, Jonathan, Ironsi and Azikiwi and for how many years in all combined. So what do you expect? is it when before they close and open their eye, their son is gone, that they will agitate. In conclusion, since when has activities in the south and east been news worthy, of concern to the north etc? Oh I almost forgot. Since mister president noticed he did not have enough funds to expend. PS: I am from the north, born, bred and indigenous. but my people I can’t see injustice and keep quiet. Though OneManLegion you still be my Nigerian brother sha, no hard feelings |
the annoying thing be say, if me and my friends go protest now; na we dem go see call niger delta avengers. Aside the fact say food no dey belle to take run the protest sef. my life still sweet me o |
DaBullIT:are you from toronto? obviously you cant see muurfuckas in the north displaying nepotism. when every thing is meant for the 95% you will experience sabbotage. don't mistake o. i am a born and bred northerner, at least by geography but wetin don ever reach me seff and wetin don ever reach middle belt. vote for one ____ who doesn't know _____ . and APC wants us to live on stories. incompetence everywhere. i wonder what would have happened if the ebola outbreak happened during this administration. |

nice one. I sure do know he's gonna do well. he happened to be someone i have watched closely for quite a while. while as PFN chair in Benue he did, in my opinion know his onions. I also know if the purpose of the appointment was to have someone that can be twisted, then this govt dey one chance cos the guy is a very big christian ideologist. well in other ways, kudos to the govt for his appointment. |

Stupedinluv:i guess you must be beautiful that's why am taking my time to write this. there is no need for sacrificing nw because according to this thiefs in govt. there will not be an 'enjoyment later'. they are not prepared to do anything other than to seat and cook up lies after lies for us to eat, while they eat our money. i dont want you waking up later and knowing you were being lied to all along. see the hardship which we suffer today were not caused by the past admin. but an aggregate of pmb ineffectual policies over the past few months and his innability to hit the ground running as quick as needed. so what does he want to tell nigerian, annoyingly he is not even aware he is treading dangerous ground, come to the north and see people suffering yet foolishly shouting rankaidede. innocent people are suffering and beautiful people dying too, just imaging ur beautiful friend from a while back ( though i dont know what happened sha) |
Nawa for una o. How can this country ever get it right if no one confronts this monster called corruption. How can there be uninterrupted power supply, good roads, sound graduates, competent man power, etc, when corruption has eaten deep into the fabric of our nation? How can we have more good doctors, responsible lecturers, the best universities in the world when corruption is the order of the day? How can we have an efficient police force when corruption has destroyed our forces and the only thing most of them know how to do is collect bribe? Even those who want to stand out will get abused and called names. How can we get it right when civil servants collect bribes to falsify documents to the detriment of the country?
