when u did tvs, did they detect any uterine abnormalities? Sorry I’m asking for a friend..

No, i did it thrice, nothing was detected.
I also did one HSG, i was given a clean slate, nothing was detected too.

Until we changed hospital and the fertility doctor demanded we do hystreoscopy to clear me for possible ivf, that was when a little scaring was seen.

Hi mamas and papas to be, below are list of fertility tests couple who are trying to conceive should do.

1. Seminal fluid analysis.
This is the most important test, this check for sperm count, motility and morphology of the mans semen.. Average price for the test 4k-10k

2. Trans vaginal scan.
Trans vaginal scan, this is done using a probe like instrument and inserting it into the vagina, its better than abdominal scan as it sees the womb better, ovarian cyst or fibroid can be detected. Average price for the test 3k-5k.

3. Follicular monitoring
This test is very important and shouldn't be over looked, it is used to check the follicules and ovulation is determined, i use to think i ovulates on day 14, using ovulation strip, after undergoing follicular monitoring, it showed that i usually ovulates on day 16. This is done an average of 3 times monthly. Average price is 2k-5k

4. HSG
Very important test to check for tubal patency, you are usually booked on the first week after your period, then a dye like substance is inserted into your tubes, they watch to see if it passes through or stops half way, this test is very important as it is impossible to become pregnant with blocked tubes even if you ovulates, its a most for all TTCing moms, infact, i got pregnant the following month but miscarried.
NB. Its very painful
Price range for test is 25k-50k.

5. Hormonal Assay male and female.
This test is important for detecting hormonal imbalance in both male and female. A problem detected is half solved.
Price range 8k to 10k

6. Hystreoscopy.
Mums to be, this test is very important, most importantly it is carried out under sedative, so you wont feel pain, this procedure is carried out by inserting a device with a camera into the uterus through the vagina carnal, the physician can visually inspect the uterus, checking out for uterine scaring aka Asherman syndrome, polyps,or fibroid. If you have had a DnC, pls do this,as uterine scaring lead to infertility or recurrent miscarriage.
Price range 30k to 50k

You can feel free to add to the list.
May we all carry our babies in the nearest time. Ameen!

Hello mamas and papas to be, i know ttc is a trying period especially during this covid19 times, we have to have faith, pray and keep pushing.

To keep the thread alive, we can introduce ourselves, our geopolitical zone, the duration of TTcing, what we have tried so far (procedures) and encourage our sisters who are in this journey to conceive with us. Let me open the floor

Hi everyone, i am sola, resident in the eastern part of Nigeria, been on this journey for for 2yrs which will end before June insha Allah.

I was pregnant August but suffered a missed miscarriage at 9weeks.

So far, i have done Hsg, TVs,hystreoscopy and adhensiolysis (mini scar removal surgery).

I m on pregnacare conception, progesterone, vitamin C and E. Hubby is on clomid, Vitamins E,C and folic acid to improve sperm count and motility.

My advice to those in this journey are,
1. Avoid self pity
2. Dont go broadcasting your problem to everyone most people dont care
3. There's power in positive declaration and prayers.
4. Go for fertility test, especially with your husband, sperm test should be done quarterly.
5. Run, flee, disengage from usage of any herbal products no matter how good they say it is, because most kidney problems arise from abuse and use of herbal drugs.
7.lastly, look into ART, like Ivf, ICSI and Iui if you have and can afford it.

Baby dust to all, signing Iya triplets..

Jellos:
Hello dear, scarring can be detected through TVS and HSG as well. Serrapeptase capsule can also be use to dissolve uterus scarring tissues speaking from personal experience

My dear, i feel it depends on the degree of adhension, i have done 1hsg, 3 TVs, and hystreoscopy, which diagnosed very mild scarring.
Hsg is a blind procedure as the uterine wall cant be viewed properly for those with mild adhesion.
I just did the removal of the scar with the Foley catherter was inserted plus progesterone therapy.. The best and surest way to see the inside of the womb is through hystreoscopy, hsg is mainly to check for tubal patency.

Anyways i know Gods willing, i will be with my triplets by this time next year,Ameen!

I did trans virginal ultrasound and everything came out okay, tho tvs shows my endometrium thickness is 0.97mm, I’m worried.. which one is hystreoscopy? Pls enlighten me..

You cant see scarring with TVs, even HSG sef, i was only diagnosed after doing hsystreoscopy, which is done using a camera..i was under general anesthesia .

Pls do it if you have had and evacuation, one of the major signs of uterine adhesion is lighter and shorter period..

pls ma, I need ur help. I hv had multiple evacuation after miscarriage last month. And I’m scared of adhesion. Can I use castor oil massage for prevention?

Hi, if you feel you have adhension, you have to go for a diagnostic hystreoscopy, which is use to check out for adhension, i did mine for 30k, the doctor saw little scarring and adviced i undergo adhensiolysis, a mini surgery to remove the scar, which i did, it cost 150k..

Good day mamas, I'm new here.

Wishing everyone very joyful BFP soonest.
Please all, I need some advice. I had a serious case of gastroenteritis In January and was given gentamicin injection through the vein, since then I have noticed a few things
1. I used to have very very serious menstrual pain, so serious that I won't be able to function at all, suffice to say my life comes to a standstill cos of menstrual pain. But since I took this injection, the pains has reduced by 85% that I feel like dancing whenever I am on my period.
2. I also noticed that I'm having increased white milky virginal discharge (sorry tmi) throughout my cycle, like I'm still discharging heavily on the day of my period. We have been trying to conceive for 6months now that I thought I might be pregnant the first time it happened (but AF quickly cleared my doubts)

Could it be a bacterial or yeast infection (I have never had an infection before)? No fishy smell just slight discomfort due to the volume of discharge. Please has anyone experienced this.
Should I begin to panic?

Thanks

hi mama!
i think we r in same boat, ttc for 5months, i also have been having increased lotion like white discharge.. how long have you noticed urs?

Health / Help! My Period Is Six Days Late. by semisola: 5:15am On Jul 06, 2018
Good day everyone.

i really need to know if this is normal or i need to see a doctor right away. All my life i have had a regular cycle, which is 28 or 29 days.

i was suppose to begin my period six days ago but up till now , i am yet to see any sign.

i have been celibate for the past five months, so the possibility of being pregnant is ruled off.

should i panic?
is it normal?
do i need to see a doctor asap?

i need your opinions, thanks.
