Evil Brain: How did Noah fit 2 million insects (1 million species x 2) into the ark? And how did be manage to fit 12,000 amphibians, 20,000 birds, 11,000 mammals, 16,000 reptiles and god knows how many crustaceans, arachnids and mollusks into a boat that must have already been overflowing with insects? Where did he find space to keep a years worth of food for all those animals? How did he keep the meat for the Lions, tigers and other carnivores fresh for a whole year? Why did he take mosquitoes, tapeworms, guinea worms and the HIV virus aboard the ark? Did he infect himself with all those parasites, or did he force his wife and children to carry them? How come all the animals didn't freeze to death at 9,000 metres altitude (the height of Mount Everest which must have been underwater) Where did they find oxygen to breathe at that height? What did all the animals eat after getting off the ark? All the plants must have died after a year underwater, and all the animals would have drowned so no food for herbivores or carnivores. How come all the fish in the ocean survived? Saltwater fish can't survive in freshwater and the ocean would have been massively diluted with all that rain. Or did the ark also have a salty fish tank with space for 60,000 fish (30,000 species x 2)? And how did he feed all those fish?I don't have answer to your questions BUT let me ask u how did Jesus feed 5000 people with 5 loaves and 2 fish? |

___________ Arsène Wenger believes the importance of stability means he cannot afford to rotate his team too much. The Frenchman has made no changes to his squad for Wednesday's Champions League game against Napoli, with Bacary Sagna and Lukas Podolski remaining in London. Arsenal have crucial league games coming up against Manchester City and Chelsea but Wenger thinks it's hard to rotate in certain positions. "In some positions I rotate more than others where the stability is important" _________________Arsène Wenger "I cannot afford to do that [rotate]" Wenger said. "We will try to rotate a little bit at times, but never more than two or three players because the stability of the side is so important. "When you play so many games, sometimes in one game you have a feeling the legs are a bit tired, but sometimes the game after they surprise you again and everybody has recovered. "At the moment we have a stable squad. In some positions I rotate more than others where the stability is important. "But overall we have no major signs of fatigue medically." |
Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo set a Champions League group phase scoring record on Tuesday as Bayer Leverkusen and Olympiakos Piraeus reached the last 16 and snow forced Galatasaray's match with Juventus to be abandoned. Holders Bayern Munich's record-breaking run of 10 consecutive Champions League wins came to an unceremonious end after Manchester City staged a memorable fightback after conceding two early goals to win 3-2 at the Allianz Arena. However, Bayern still won Group D with City finishing in second place. Prolific Ronaldo took his tally to nine for the campaign in Real's 2-0 win at FC Copenhagen, with the nine-time champions also setting an all- time record in European competitions by netting in 31 successive matches. Ronaldo, in his first game back since sustaining a muscle strain on November 23, scored with a simple close-range finish three minutes after the break, Real's second after Luka Modric's delightful opener. Bayern manager Pep Guardiola suffered only his second loss in 25 matches since taking over from Jupp Heynckes. "When you go 2-0 ahead, you have to play better than that," Bayern captain Philipp Lahm told Sky Sports Deutschland. "But we can live with the defeat, we are still group winners." CITY'S REVENGE A heavy loss looked on the cards for City when slack defending allowed Thomas Mueller and Mario Goetze to fire the German side 2-0 ahead after 12 minutes. David Silva started the comeback with a simple finish to reduce the deficit by the break and James Milner won a penalty, converted by Aleksandar Kolarov, and side-footed the winner in a three-minute second-half spell. "We wanted revenge for the first game (Bayern won 3-1) and to show it was not that different between Bayern and our team," said City manager Manuel Pellegrini. "To win here and score three goals without Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure, Alvaro Negredo and Sergio Aguero shows we have a very good squad also, so it's a very important victory." Leverkusen's 1-0 win at Real Sociedad put them through as runners-up behind Manchester United in Group A. The Bundesliga side's victory, earned by Oemer Toprak's second-half goal, lifted them above Shakhtar Donetsk into second after the Ukrainians lost 1-0 at United. Javier Saviola scored twice as Olympiakos pipped Benfica to second spot in Group C by beating visitors Anderlecht 3-1. In an extraordinary match, the Belgians finished with eight men after the Greeks scored one penalty and had two saved by keeper Silvia Proto, including one from Saviola. The Anderlecht stopper spoiled his night by getting sent off in stoppage-time, joining Cheikhou Kouyate and Fabrice N'Sakala in seeing red. Benfica won 2-1 against group winners Paris St Germain, who rested top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but drop into the Europa League despite finishing on 10 points along with Olympiakos who enjoyed head-to-head superiority over the Lisbon club. MATCH ABANDONED Galatasaray or Juventus will join Group B winners Real Madrid in the knockout stage when they return to finish their match in Istanbul on Wednesday. The players were taken off the Ali Sami Yen stadium pitch by Portuguese referee Pedro Proenca after 32 minutes following heavy snowfall with the score at 0-0. Uefa said in a statement the match "will continue on Wednesday from 1400 CET (1300 GMT)". This video is not available. After losing two successive Premier League games at Old Trafford, Manchester United stopped the rot thanks to a second-half Phil Jones goal at Old Trafford which sent Shakhtar into the Europa League. "We wanted to top the group and we have. The win helps us, improves our form," said manager David Moyes. "A club like Manchester United has to be trying to win the trophy." Viktoria Plzen scored two late goals to beat CSKA Moscow 2-1 to secure third place and a Europa League spot in Group D. Substitute Tomas Wagner rifled home the winner in the 90th minute to send Plzen into the Europa League at the expense of CSKA who finished with nine men after Alan Dragoev and Pontus Wernbloom were dismissed late on. |
Vincent Enyeama go into the history books as he become the goalkeeper with the second longest number of minutes under his belt without conceding in the French top flight. |

The world has welcomed another batch of Nobel Laureates for accomplishments in the sciences, literature, and global peace. But there is another prize, perhaps just as important, for which there was no winner. We are talking about the Mo Ibrahim Prize, established by the Sudanese billionaire Mo Ibrahim. The criteria for winning are listed publicly on the prize website: You need to be a democratically elected African head of state that has left office in the last three years, and demonstrated excellent leadership. If you meet the criteria, you get a $5 million award, plus an annual pension of $200,000 that kicks in after a decade. The point, of course, is to provide a financial incentive for African leaders to shun corruption. And yet, for the fourth time in its seven year history, the awards committee was unable to find a winner from any of Africa’s 50-plus countries. Bravo to the Ibrahim prize for holding high standards, even if that means no grand ceremony. So what happened? Well, for starters, presidents and prime ministers need to actually step down. Africa’s leaders are locked in a marathon to see who can reign longest. The leaders of Equatorial Guinea and Angola have been in power for 34 years. Zimbabwe and Cameroon have had the same men in charge for 33 and 30 years respectively. These and a number of other African states are nominal democracies, but they are essentially run by dictators. Elections, if they’re held at all, tend to be a sham, pockmarked by intimidation, fraud, and violence. More from CNN: Africa’s rocky road to democracy A number of indicators highlight the region’s crisis of governance. On Freedom House’s global map of freedom, Africa is the region with the highest number of countries listed “not free.” On Transparency International’s Corruption Index, most African states are shaded red, denoting graft, instead of yellow, for least corrupt. Now alongside all of these dismal rankings lie a set of numbers singing a very different tune. Six of the world’s ten fastest growing economies from 2001 to 2010 were African. According to Ventures Africa, the continent now has 55 billionaires. Great strides have been made in creating wealth and expanding development. There have been advances in education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation. So, despite all of these gains, why is Africa so far behind on good governance? There are, of course, a number of decades-old factors in play, but one of them is new, and strikes us as an interesting one to highlight: China. For decades, NGO’s and Western countries have tied aid money and trade to promises for greater transparency among Africa’s countries. But China has upended the system. Beijing is known to give aid and sign trade deals with no strings attached. Instead, its priority is to extract commodities at the best possible price. And that, in turn, has led to the commodities boom which has fuelled growth in Africa. More from GPS: Why Africa matters According to a New York University study, trade between China and Africa has risen from $10 billion in 2000 to $166 billion in 2011, a 16-fold increase. China is now Africa’s largest trade partner. And as we reported last week, China’s total aid budget has surged as well, from $1.7 billion in 2001, to more than $189 billion in 2011. A substantial chunk of that aide goes to Africa. In the short term, Africa’s leaders may rejoice at having struck a good deal. They no longer need to listen to Western criticism because China and other countries, like Brazil and India, are willing to trade, no-strings attached. But Africa’s dictators should beware. All they need to do is look north, to the Arab world, and they will see what happens when leaders suppress freedom and stick around too long. Meanwhile, Africa’s young population – and it is huge – is getting smarter, more connected, and perhaps more likely, eventually, to rebel against repression. |
