Opinedecandid: Hmmmm.
Contrary to ApC's claim, they are the ones to be told, 'it has ceased to be business as usual'!
PDP senators as ably led by Senator Godswill Akpabio are the ones that make the 8th Senate lively and interesting. PDP senators are focused and no-nonsense senators. They are ready and able at all times to teach APC the ropes of leaadership. Amaechi and Usani Uguru are in soup. It is not too late, they better swing into action and start lobbying the opposition through their caucus. Even in the western world Legislature, lobbying is done. This is the beauty of democracy, especially a multi/two party democracy. Not (God forbid) this one party zoo APC is trying to turn Nigeria into. I wonder whose dictatorial and totalitarian ambition the single party agenda means to further. This is nonsense. As a minority, PDP will always have their say but APC being the majority will have their way. See Amaechi scale through confirmation in style today. |

Politics › Re: We’ll Shut Down Nigerian Embassy In India-pro-biafra Activists by seniorbros(m): 4:13pm On Oct 27, 2015 |
mryoungdon: Some pro-Biafra activists under the aegis of Indigenous People of Biafra have threatened to destroy the Nigerian embassy in India over the detention of the Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
The activist, who wore vests bearing the insignia of Biafra, staged a protest at the Nigerian High Commission building in New Delhi to demand the release of Kanu.
In a five minute Facebook video, the activist, among other demands, said if Kanu was not released within the next 24 hours, they would destroy the embassy.
The protesters, who chanted a Biafra solidarity song, “Biafra save my bullet when I die,” said not even the Indian police would stop them if Kanu was not released.
One of the activists said, “Today we are all over the world and we are making it very clear. We know your families all over the world. If Nnamdi Kanu is not released within 24 hours, we will bring down this building. Kanu has not done anything wrong, he is a prisoner of conscience kidnapped by the operatives of the Department of State Services. But we are warning that if they fail to release him, we will break down this embassy. Go and call all the police in India, they cannot stop us. We don’t joke about our leader. We are not afraid of jail.”
Another member of the group said, “We don’t mince word. There should not be a clause to his release. After all, this embassy was built with our money. No matter the number of Indian police they put here, we will bring this building down. We are ready to die. We are dead already so we are not afraid of death.”
An unidentified man at the embassy said he would convey their demands to President Muhammadu Buhari.
http://punchng.news/2015/10/880 Fools, they should go ahead and burn down the building. In fact they should bring their fight to the corridor of power in Abuja. Cowards in diaspora making noise. what is the sense is destroying Nigerian Embassy in India? is that where the idiot and coward is detained. They are just a bunch of noise makers seeking relevance. |

The Judges are part of our society and must have also seen and heard how serious incidences of malpractice characterized Rivers governorship elections. No Judge will close its eyes to glaring facts of malpractices. Wike can go as far as the supreme court, the Judgement of the tribunal will be upheld.
My advise to Wike is to start preparing for a re run. if he is as popular as he claims he will win without violence and malpractice, he should honorably constitute his campaign team rather than dissipate energy on a seemingly baseless Appeal that will be thrown out as soon as it is mentioned.
For the souls he took in his quest to rule rule Rivers state, their blood will continue to hunt him for the rest of his life. |

Lincolnburrows: The question F.G should ask themselves is "why are people still clamoring for this cause?" There cannot be true progress of a nation without genuine reconciliation, fairness, non_victimization, equality to all parties concerned. How many people are really proud to be Nigerians? How many people can die for Nigeria? What is the Nigerian dream(just like we have American dream). Who are our founding fathers....Are they men of integrity? The hard fact is that 80 years from now, the next generation will still be clamouring for break-up which goes to show that the foundation of this country is wrong.
Nigeria is not a nation because nobody is willing to die for Nigeria. Breaking this country can be a blessing in disguise for all parties. Unfortunately it is only one part of this country that is clamoring for a break up for whatever reasons. Until we all see the need to go our separate ways, this agitation remains a mere wish. |
