helinues: Barely 48 hours to September 30, the deadline given by President Muhammadu Buhari, to release the list of his long-awaited ministerial nominees, the social media was again abuzz on Monday, with a list of politicians and technocrats who are speculated to make the ministerial nominees to be sent to the Senate tomorrow.
However, this list is not an official list from the Presidency. Again, this is not likely the real list because some names such as that of Dr Kayode Fayemi, Femi Falana and Engineer Segun Oni are all from Ekiti State. According to the constitution, the President must appoint a minister from each state.
Here is the list:
Prof. Tam David West Femi Falana (SAN) Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazu (rtd) Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola Wale Edun Abubakar Malami (SAN). Mrs. Ifueko Omoigui-Okaru Chief Bode Mustapha Engineer Segun Oni Dr Kayode Fayemi Dr. Abba Ruma Chief Kanu Agabi Donald Duke Babatunde Raji Fashola Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi Rotimi Akeredolu Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso Festus Odimegwu Engineer Funsho Kupolokun Yinka Folashade Oredola Bisola Adegbenro Isaiah Danjuma (son of TY Danjuma) Dele Momodu Kehinde Lawanson Chief Bayo Ojo (SAN) Pat Utomi Charles Chukwuma Soludo
Meanwhile, as Nigerians await the official announcement from President Buhari:
* Who would you want to be on the list? * Who would you want removed from the aforementioned names?
Source: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/09/ministerial-list-see-list-of-speculated-nominees/ Assuming without conceding that this list is authentic, then more names will have to added to it. They are only 27 names this is against the constitutionally stipulated 36. Let's be patient, more names will be released. |

The girl isn't telling the whole truth. She did not get deflowered by the compound guy. She lost her virginity long before she met your guy. How can she claim that she allowed her long preserved virginity to be taken by some guy she met in her compound just like that when she had a serious relationship that could lead to marriage? Your guy should flee. That is an indicator for a failed marriage. |

I find it amusing when people say Tinubu is corrupt. He has always been in the opposition and have always fought PDP at every given opportunity. He left office more than 8 years ago nothing was found on him to warrant prosecution, yet people call him corrupt. As far as I am concerned, if anyone has any useful information that could lead to his arrest and possible prosecution, he should approach the relevant authorities, otherwise, nothing you spew here will make any difference. |

anwe: What I know is there is separation of power in Nigeria. The executive should face their business of governance and leave the legislators alone to carry out their business of making laws. Without the legislators the executive can not function and if they behave like them, then what ? the Presidency will not get anything approved or done.
Is Saraki the only one with skeleton in his asset declaration ? PMB just declear that he owns a house in Abuja & not an estate, these claims should be investigated, including the wife's asset together with Halliburton allegation. shekina ! That saraki is not the only one with skeletons in their cupboard doesn't mean he should not be prosecuted. The most important thing is that the law is allowed to punish offenders. Let our laws be seen to be active. |

LastProphet: Am sorry sir, I talk like that because am annoyed and am sure if you think for a moment there is nothing to be happy about in kogi since 'we' igalas have been ruling and we insist on continuing just like any other tribe in Nigeria anyway. But I think we Nigerians (Ibo, hausa, Yoruba, Tiv, Binis, etc) should start to rise above primordial sentiments like tribalism if we are ever to start our journey. I have worked closely with people in kogi govt especially under Wada and bros it is very very disappointing. I have witnessed incidences where many many laudable ideas were turned down by Wada just because of the promptings by tribal igala bigots around him who have no clue what the responsibilities of power is. Please find out - Dangote offered N250m to be paid annually to the kogi development masterplan committee initiated by Wada himself headed by the late prof idachaba, the state refused to apply for the grant based on the kindergarten explanation given the governor by his so-called kitchen cabinet. I also witnessed a N500m water resources grant offered in 2008/9 by the EU (free money please, not loan) when Samuel Okedi was at EU and had finished facilitating it, the Igala commissioner said Gov Ibro wanted some bribe BEFORE HE APPLIED FOR GRANT THAT WAS WAITING FOR HIM!
Bros I could go on and on, my architect friend here in Abuja - an established international architect was in a team with some Asian investors that came to kogi with the idea and the money to turn that waterfront to an international beach resort - I was told the governor didn't understand what they were saying - he kept embarrassing the investors with suggestions of bribe when what was offered was beyond a lifetime bribe. Bros do you want me to go on?
I once heard that the definition of madness is when you keep doing the same thing and expect different results. I think its time igalas begin to understand that it might not be another igala that will take the state forward that is just what am trying to say. And am sure by now you no longer doubt that am also igala.
And on whether I will be sad if igala wins, I have no problem with that please, I don't live in kogi and I don't need to do that anymore all glory to God. I just say this for the poor kogi folks who we all have a responsibility to. Sorry sir if I insulted you, I see you are a gentle man and I have no right to insult you - am sorry My Bro, no hard feelings. We just hope that this time around we get it right. God bless Kogi state. |

LastProphet: if they are my brothers I wont mention them here point of correction, they are good neighbors if it helps you. Late Joe Odoma was a respected friend. Please grow up, come out of your nut, we igalas keep presenting the worst among us for public offices and its time we eat humble pie Anyway, I have just made my point without resorting to insults and mud slinging. When you say "we Igalas" I guess that includes me, hence my rejoinder. With the way your are carrying on, I hope you won't kill yourself if an Igala becomes Governor in November. As far as this matter is concerned, I will give you the opportunity to have the last say. |

[quote author=LastProphet post=37483435]APC has lost kogi, anybody here can quote me in November, there is no single project audu ever did that lasted more than 1 year, just one example is Lokoja to ajaokuta road initially done by audu lated only 1 year, so are the commissioner quarters in Lokoja, all are sham that dont last 1 year. lets not talk about his primitive arrogance which led him to erect a throne in govt house and kogi subjects sit on mats like his subjects. i think it is high time we igalas swallow our backward thinking and allow the kabba to rule since they tend to think better than us. Nigeria will continue to be a backward country until tribalists are removed, take a look at Lokoja and you know igalas have nothing else besides our numbers to give. wada is a failure but we rather have a failure that knows he is a failure - audu does not. am igala p ls so am not witch hunting.
No Igala Son will write this rubbish. Just show yourself or keep quiet. |
