I just want to thank God for the success of today's Interview. THE entire processing from THE checking point of God of ABA kingdom- kng Paulinus TO THE Interview with the V.O2 were indeed great. Although, during THE Interview THE woman(VO) was saying we always cram our ANSWERS for the questions which i felt Bad about it.

Also, to the glory of God My fintiba confirmation came in around 5:15a.m while i was on the queue then I just had to take excuse from THE security man and went straight TO maami TO print out My confirmation. All went well.

THE questions asked by the VO2( THE woman with dread lock).

1. What is your Name?
2. Have you funded? How much and with which Bank?
3. Can you define your undergraduate field on your certificate (whats it about)?
4. What Programm did you apply for?
5.what course?
6. What is the Name of your university?
7. Who is your contact Person TO THE school( I got confused with that which i eventually got)
8. Why Germany?
9. Why not U.k , Canada?
10. Tell me facts about Germany
11. Where is your school located
12. Whats THE capital of baden Württemberg?
13. Whats THE capital of Bayern?
14. Tell me the European countries sharing borders with Germany starting from THE North.?
15. Have travelled TO germany or any Schengen countries before?
16. Are u married or single?
17. What are germans Export products they transport? I only remembered BMW embarassed
18. What is your plan after your studies in Germany
19. Do you intend TO work in Germany?

Thanks for today....have a wonderful day.

Congratulations @empressonassis on your successful

visa interview. Deutschland awaits you, am on d way.

empressonassis:
Hello house. So I did my Visa interview already. Decided to post the questions here since I find this forum very useful and helpful to german student visa applicants. When I got there, after scaling through Paulinus and his screening, I was ushered in and directed to the counter where I was to have my interview. The VO at that counter was okay. Quite slow though, as he was actually typing every reply I was given to the questions word for word on his desk top! How weird. Anyways, the questions were:

1. What is my full name
2. Where is my place of birth given in my passport? What state is it.
3. Where did I do my undergraduate studies? What country? Name of school
4. What was my undergraduate research or project topic?
5. Give myself a score of the undergraduate research from 1-10 (10 being the highest score).
6. Where am I going to study in Germany? Place
7. What school?
8. Have I paid my full school fees or just a part of it? (I am going to a private school which pays tuition fees)
9. When am I supposed to complete payment? (I paid half).
10. What is my date of resumption?
11. What course am I going to study?
12. Why the school?
13. Why Germany?
14. Why not Nigeria
15. Have you been to Germany before?
16. What do I know about Germany? Politics
17. What do I know about Germany? Economy and everything else?
18. What is the capital of and the largest city in Germany?
19. Am I coming back to Nigeria?
20. What do I intend to do after my studies in Germany?
21. Fintiba have I funded?
22. How much did I pay?
23. Can I speak German.

That's it guys. The VO was a Nigerian. He went through all my documents one after the other and even checked the copies for most of them. He asked for my Visa fee (N28,000) exactly and I gave it to him.
I must admit it was a long interview. I was standing all through and I was on heels. My legs were killing me. Anyway, I wish all those who are yet to do their own interviews success.

1: Yes it is very important you go for your interview with your primary school leaving certificate. The interviewer wants to know ur past educational history.

2: Yes you can go with the page document that contains all the details of your block account. But in my own case I funded my block account before going for the interview, it makes the visa application process faster. I will advice you open a euro account and fund ur block account from ur euro account for unforseen future purpose.

3: Yes ur picture should be attached but not glued to the application form. Use any of those office pins better still d spiral office pin to attach ur pic. Pls don't use a stapler o or anytime that will puncture d pic.

4: Do you have a resident permit no? If yes write it down, if no then leave it blank.

Gurus in the house, Thanks very much for the wonderful help being given to your country men and women through this forum...I have a few questions of my own...My study visa interview will be coming up next week. I am a bit nervous but I know the same GOD that saw most of us through this forum will see me through successfully...MY QUESTIONS ARE :

1. I will be going for Masters program in Germany, is it essential I present a primary school certificate during the interview? I ask this question because it seems somebody here earlier insinuated that primary school certificates re only important for those applying for Bachelors program

2. I opened a Fintiba account but have not funded...Which of the fintiba documents should I present during my Visa interview? Is it the two-page ''confirmation of blocked account creation'' document that has all my fintiba account details and blocked amount stated? Abeg I just need a clarification on this because ''person wey dey ask question no dey miss road'' grin

3. On the checklist, it states that my picture should be attached to the application form but the application form states I should not use glue for the picture - gurus, does that mean I should use a stapler for the foto on the form?

4. On the Application Form page 1, the part that states ''Residence Permit Number'' - should I leave it blank?

Abeg make una no vex oh!...just help a brother out wink

Hmmm don't reli know much bout dis DAK health insurance although I opened a fintiba account but I dint sign up for their health insurance.

I went for my interview without a German Health Insurance, I was only asked by the embassy to submit a travel insurance for a period of 6 months and I was given a 6 months visa.

But I think you can go with it since it's a private health insurance from fintiba.

NOTE:

Embassy might still require you submit a travel insurance depending on the period within ur German Health Insurance covers.

Hey man,
Please what health insurance did you use? I've got DAK health insurance from fintiba is that sufficient ?

Hello Fam. Thanks to everyone here for being so tremendously helpful. Congratulations to all those who have successfully had their interviews and those who have received their AMs. I have my German students visa interview next week, and I just wanted to ask if the Motivational Letter can be handwritten. Mine is handwritten, so I need to know if I should have it typed since I still have time to do it. Thanks a lot guys.

To be on the safest side, I will advise you go with a handwritten motivation letter.

Hope you wrote your motivation letter well as this is one of the major yardstick the embassy use.

Greetings great people.

I want to know if its wrong if I fund my blocked account twice. Like sending 6,000 euro and 2,900 euro next day. First bank said I can not send 8,829 euro once.
Advice pls

Yes it is possible to fund your blocked account twice to make up the minimum balance meant to be in ur blocked account.

The maximum u can transfer within 5 working days should be equivalent to $10,000.

Although that's for Zenith Bank, don't reli know if it's cut across all banks in Nigeria.

That last sentence though, I agree. At least I've heard of it as the reason why most people attend private universities. Another reason is that, it's not crowded like public university. Also, it's hard to fail in a private university.

But I think there are advantages/benefits like he stated which I would like him to share with us.

Am glad you already know one of the benefits @jigba

I graduated from a tough university here in Nigeria with a fantastic grade, so please do not keep the impression that most people who attend private skool is because of a low grade @victz

I am only saying from my own little research and findings that private skools have more benefits to a public skool.

Please I stand been corrected as no man is a body of knowledge, but only with facts and proofs if possible.

Why do you think that the benefits of studying in a private university is better?

I'm just curious.

Yes it is, it's incomparable.

I certainly can't drop d merits and demerits of attending a private and public skools here so it doesn't discourage most people on the platform.

But you can as well make your own research.

Good Afternoon team Dutch land, I recently applied to a university in South Germany through uni-assist which there application deadline is on the 15th of February. And decision would be taken 2weeks after d deadline.... And it's written boldly on the programme fliers that the program will commenced on the 1st of March and the university programme only runs during the summer semester...... Which means if I said I shld defer I would have to wait till next year March...... Luckily I was admitted into a university in Berlin last year where I have to pay huge to complete my programme, 9,000€ and will still needs around €5000 euro for other expenses like housing and flight ticket...... Although my sponsor didn't have the money he will have to hustle for the money...... Please i need your advice if the school it worth going Because my major aim of travelling is 40percent academic and 60percent to upgrade my standard of living please i need your advise.... To pay him back the money after a year..... Thanks your advice is needed urgently

It all depends on your motives my brother, I suspect the school that gave you admission in berlin is probably a private institution.

What you should understand is that there's a whole lot of difference between a German Public Schools and Private Schools.

Although a private skool is more expensive, but in the long run the benefits you get from attending a private skool is far better than that of a public skool.

In my own case I got admitted into a private skool here in Berlin for a masters degree, and the skool fee for the 3 semester programme cost approx 18,000 euros.

I also have a blocked account here in Germany.

My course is a very unique one and not all public universities in Germany offer it and if they do, it can't be compared to that of a private university.

A better scenario is like comparing Uni Ibadan and Atiku Abubarka University (ABTI).

Greetings great people.

Pls I want to ask if its advisable to fund Blocked account from another person's Dorm account if you don't have one.
Also, if presenting the Swift copy of the Bank transfer (assuming you used form A and notification of funding hasn't been received) will convince VO that you have funded on interview day.
Good advice pls

I will advice you fund your block account from your own dorm account for future purposes.

Walk into any of the banks preferably Zenith Bank and open an euro dorm account, source for the euro either through the aboki or bank and pay into ur euro dorm account and do the transfer into ur blocked account in Germany.

It's always easier and faster for d receiver of d funds to know, cos d sender is in your name and from ur dorm account.

That was wat i did in my own case.

Hello to the house. I just started following this thread and I have truly learnt about a lot from here. I finally got a date for March 21 and my enrolment deadline is April 6th and also have a funded block account. Is it still advisable to attend the interview and hopeful to get a visa before the enrolment deadline. Just curious

Am not sure it is possible, because the embassy needs 6 to 8 weeks or even more to conclude on ur student visa application.

That is why the embassy all advice students willing to study in Germany to apply for the student visa on time so it would lead to visa denial.

My advise is for you to defer ur admission to next study session which is september.

But if u still wanna try, wish u best of luck!!

Brothers & Sisters already in Germany, please did you book one way ticket or to/fro ticket.
I am hearing that they wont let one fly if you do not book return ticket.

I need quick responses please.

It's not necessary to book a to and fro ticket since your going for studies.

In most cases you are only required to show the original copy of your admission letter as proof before allowing you to board

But I will advise you to first contact the airline you intend to fly and make enquiries.

In my own case I flew with Royal Air Maroc, I went as far as calling their headqrts in Casablanca to do my findings because some will say it is possible and some say it's not. so I had to call so as to clear all necessary doubt.

Please, i need the format of how to arrange documents for the interview so as to avoid issues with mr paulinus and also if there is a hotel nearby that can be recommended for a lady to pass the night before the interview with reasonable price and a decent
environment? Thanks

There is a checklist for student visa, I would advise you follow the instructions on it careful.

Make copies as instructed and extras just incase, in my own case I made an extra copy each as against the normal two.

It depends on the time the lady is scheduled to have her interview.

If it's 7am, I won't advise her to go too far away from the venue due to the heavy traffic in Lagos. There is a small hotel that is cheap around 8k per night close to Walter Carrington. It's a 10-20mins walk to the embassy or you can just take danfo and stop at Walter Carrington junction.

Mr Paulinius is not doing anything wrong rather,He does the screening so as to reduce stress for the consulars. If you arrange yourself very well,You won't have issues with him.

Imagine when you have appointment for 7 am and you arrived 7 30 am begging him to let you go inside..He also know the appropriate documents for all visas.

We all do know that Mr Paulinus is doing is job so well no doubt with all jealousy, but there should be some level of humane attitude in carryout his duties.

Do you know what a lot of people have been through just because of this man's inhumane attitude?

A lot of people go through hell, through the process of applying for a visa and getting an appointment, some even come from as far as just for the interview.

Only for them to be sent away by Mr Paulinus due to one flimsy reason disregarding the fact that a lot of resources like finance, time etc would have been invested into it.

Do you know how disappointing it can be and the psychological trauma those people would have gone through.

My brother just because it dint happen to you does not mean you should speak without putting yourself in the shoes of those it happened to just as I am doing.

I went for my interview, came out succesfully and am already in Germany.

But my thoughts are with those whom have been through all I have pointed out here.

I lost count of how many people Mr Paulinus sent back due to flimsy reasons on the day of my interview.

I felt bad for one guy I met while on the queue who told me his life and that of his parents depends so much on his interview only if he had known he would be sent back just because his visa fee was short of #500 which I obliged to help out but he Paulinus vehemently refused even with all the plea he gave a dead ear and sent the poor guy away.

Just count yourself lucky for not to have experienced this, cos my brother you don't know the stigma, pains and psychological disorder that comes with rejection.

Hey Bro I can only imagine what you went through at the embassy gate, i have been in such situation when I also went for my interview sometime last year.

As I was reading through your write up everything I experienced that same day came alive.

That almighty Mr Paulinus, na only Baba God go judge am cos the man has made a lot of people go through hell.

Even those who finally made it into the embassy premises would have forgotten most of what they have rehearsed in preparation for the interview by the time they face the interviewer all because of almighty Paulinus.

The man knowingly or unknowingly would have contributed successfully to a lot of people's visa rejection due to the poor performance made on their interview.

I also want to use this medium to make a plea to everyone in the house, let's all make a clarion call against this almighty Paulinus that has brought so many misfortunes to most nigerians seeking for a German visa at the German Consulate General, Lagos Nigeria.

Thank you all.
