I need your advice pls.

My car (a 2005 Toyota camry) drives smoothly but leaks oil. I thought it was the normal engine oil but on closer look, discovered it was gear oil that was leaking.. I was introduced to a guy that fixes gear and said its the gear oil seal that needs to be replaced. He said my gear is 13 pin and is difficult to handle.

What scared me the most was when he said changing the seal might damage the gear with a 50% chance of damage to gear and 50% success chance.. he said he'll need to remove the shaft (which are also due for change as they've been making noises at full turn) before he can put the seal.

I need your advice please...

Unfortunately, i have several publications in these fake Indian journals. Is there a way to recall them? I am thinking of upgrading them to a standard one.

First, article publication in reputable journals goes through several stages which is beyond the power of the author and in most cases the editor. The longest stage is the peer reviewing stage which varies between 15 days to 5 months, revision stage, acceptance stage, proofing and production stage, online article publication stage. All reputable journals pass through these stages irrespective of the publishing house (Elsevier or springer or Taylor’s or Willey).

No fixed time or days and it is Daylight lie that it takes 6 months for Elsevier to get back to you. It maybe as short as 1 month or even longer than 10 months....no fixed days ....That’s how publication in reputable journals goes.

80% if my papers come from Elsevier, 15% from Springer and 5% from Taylor’s & Francis. From my experience I publish 1-4 months and in 2018 I published 12 papers, 2019 Target is 20 papers 65% reached while others under review.

I think your focus should be on the quality, significance, innovation and industrial applications of your publication. Only fake Indian journals and the likes publish in 10 days and such articles published in predatory and fake journals are strongly frowned upon and lowers the reputation of the authors/academic involve. All well ranked universities focus more in reputable and quality research output in well recognized journals irrespective of publication time.

Please don’t listen to excuses from failures ... such always give negative energy to everything they could not achieve ...

Make sure the drawing you want to import are in layers. Make sure you dont have other drawings ln the sheet (it should be one layout). After this, then save as dxf

I have a friend that anytime he wants to download on scribd, he open Microsoft word and type a to Z and save it. that is what he uploads to get his free download. for me, av uploaded my siwes report, projects and many others just to enjoy this free download.

I have a question sirs, when designing a storey building as high as five. How do i determine the size of beams and columns ...like the dimensions..tanks

Taking preliminary sections for the building involves using instincts based on experience.....then u load and analyse it...if it fails, then u increase the section (dimension)

@op,i have heard about the tekla structural designer, but I really do not have an in dept idea about it, though heard it is encompassing. Was wondering if u could throw more light on it.

have u heard of Prota Structures (the new Orion). please check the main thread via the link above for some discussions on it.

AutoCAD structural detailing has bin stopped since 2014...u can still make use of old versions tho.....they incorporated the detailing into Revit (revit is now DAT powerful).


on Tekla Structural Designer, (also check the main thread for some info on it), it is a structural analysis and design software...it is very huge and powerful as it can do a whole lot..
different materials, different anLysis methods, wind and earthquake simulations, composites, etc...its quite handy.

CSC as a company (CSC produced orion,tedds,fastrak etc) got purchased by Tekla. Tekla structures is their main software monitoring their building workflow.

Like people say, the world is changing and the there are more than one way to learn.

The training can be one on one depending on your location, group, via net through video and networking, and other means.

via net through videos.....we make use of a video recording application DAT captures the computer screen and voice and a software that allows me/us see your screen and control your mouse in case of any bottleneck during the training.

This is an extension of the thread on helping each other on CADs problems.
