Okay, noted. Thank you very much. wallg123: Like someone else has mentioned above. It won’t affect your chances of ILR. I increased mine from 5% to 15%?while I was still on visas, and it was never a problem. Ask the person who said so to provide the source. |

Wow! Thanks for your input. Resurgent2016: I doubt this. It reduces your tax though. If your employer is matching your voluntary contribution, gives you "double pay".
The catch is you may not be able to assess the money before 55 or 60 (cant remember the exact age) without paying some massive tax that will wipe off most of the portion contributed by your employer and still subject your portion of the contribution to tax also. |

Morning everyone. does anyone know the implication of increasing your personal pension contribution at work?
Someone said if a person increases their personal pension it might affect chances of ILR as the pension is not taxed. How true is this please? |

MrMash: Please is there a way to track visa application made within the UK?
Has anyone applied for a dependent visa in UK recently, how long did it take ?
Thanks Mine took 20 days. I received the email on day 20. The mail stated that my brp would be delivered within 7 days. But the brp came 2 days after I got the 'successful' email. You can call the Home Office though. But they wouldn't do much. Will only ask that you wait it out. If it's a Health and Care Worker Visa, it will take 3 weeks max. If it's a skilled worker visa it might take more than 3 weeks. Don't worry, it will come. |

Okay. Thank you very much. koonbey: Oh it’s great that’s he’s a union member.
He should approach them and have them advise. A lot will boil down to what is in his employment contract so hopefully the union can get a lawyer to review it and provide guidance. |

Good morning great minds,
Please I need help on a situation. My hubby works in care at the moment on a tier 2 worker visa. It's supposed to be supported living. And he was employed as a positive behavioural specialist. He has trainings and skills till level 3 on this.
He takes the train to this new job and we were just trying to manage and bear the cost for transportation pending when we move to the new place. But prices of housing there is so much on the high side. He was going to work about 4 days in a week initially. I was able to do some shifts on the side with that arrangement but as soon as he was given the cos and he was successful they syarted acting up. He doesn't have a permanent shift. And I can't even work as the shifts are nights and days sometimes.. Recently, they changed his rota and started giving him shifts like 1.5hrs per day. It's so wild that he has to go to this job just for 1.5hr and spend about 20pounds on transportation and then go back the next day for 1.5hrs again! We have kids and it's affecting us financially. We were enduring this becauseof the sponsorship. Now he just feels trapped.
He has emailed the office but they havent acted or responded to his email. Its beginning to affect us. We don't know how to tackle this as we are barely 2 years here. Please anyone who can help as to what to do about this.
Thank you. |

Awww....I just wanna hug you and tell you it will be alright.. Being 'alone' is not easy... Indeed we all need someone special to do life with. .Don't worry, God will give you the right woman just as your heart desires...she will even born ejima for you Wish you good success in your search. mintyx: Hello everyone!
Thanks for all the contributions to this page which I have benefitted from a lot.
My own problem here is that I need a wife!
Yeah I'm not ashamed to ask. I have tried and maybe I haven't been lucky
I will be 39 by October. I'm 6'1, from Imo state and work with the NHS.
I don't know what handsome means to you. I might be your definition of handsome but if I'm not, trust me, I'm not bad looking.
I will prefer someone already in England. Not ruling out someone in Nigeria if it's by recommendation.
I'm looking for a good soul who knows what she wants in life and reciprocates efforts. I love a good looking lady, who smells nice, good communicator, kind and empathetic between 26-34 years of age. I will do all these as well.
I prefer from the south east, south south, some parts of the North(as long as you are a Christian).
I am Catholic (Christian) and I try as much as possible to be the best person I can. We can start from friendship/relationship and work towards settling soon.
Pls if you are or can recommend someone, pls help a brother out. Almost all the Nigerian ladies around me here are all married
I can be reached via this email: glucocareng@gmail.com |

Thank you so much for this. giselle237: If the form would let you pass that section, you can apply as long as inside the UK. Put your explanation at the and of the form and attach all documents to prove you have applied for the passport. Then continue with your application. You do not need passport as long as you are inside the UK. Most times you will end up using the Home office app if you are inside the UK |

Thank you so much for the clarification. koonbey: For council tax, definitely, one person pays, ideally by direct debit from an account. You can pay by card and so pay separately (one person pays part and the other pays the rest) but there's absolutely no point to that as council tax doesn't affect credit score unless you default and they pursue you in court.
Regarding rent, I guess it's possible to transfer separately but I haven't ever heard of a married couple doing that. Again, rent does not contribute to your credit score, and you don't have to bother yourself with all those services you mentioned. Get on the electoral roll,eEarn and spend normally, and get a credit card each that you'll use wisely, and your credit score will grow naturally over time. Time itself is a big component and you can't rush it.
The credit score you see on those websites are immaterial when you are applying for things. Don't let that be your preoccupation. |

Hi everyone. I have a few questions please.
How do we pay house rent as a couple in order for it to reflect on our credit score? Do we split it in half and pay our halves to the agent individually or one person makes the total transfer?
How do we make it reflect on a rental exchange partner like Canopy or Credit Ladder?
Also on Council Tax, We both have a total of 174 to pay how do we pay it? One person transfers or we split it and each of us make the payment to the council account individually?
Please help me out on these questions. Thank you |
