1.First and foremost there was a mistake on the naming of the first item. It's named "Print local government and attestation form" but when you open it you would see "REFERENCE FOR DSSC CANDIDATES" You are to print 2 copies of this form. Now you need two different people to sign the forms and you have two choices which are:
A. Give one form to your local government chairman or secretary to sign and stamp then you get a military officer of the rank of Lt Col or above or its equivalent in the other arms of the armed forces to sign the second one. It's not compulsory for the military officer to be serving but preferable because a serving officer will have access to his unit stamp which will authenticate your reference forms. But even if his retired his service number (SVC) will do.
B. You can decide to give both reference forms to two different military officers from your state of origin but not necessarily from your local government. To me this is the best option, because it saves money and time.

2. The second form is named "Declaration form" don't print it because it's the same as the second form in number three. Don't panic just ignore it to avoid repetition.

3. The third document is a pdf document named "Attestation and Declaration form". Print both forms.
( a)The parents/guardians declaration form can be signed by your civilian parents or the military officer who signed one of your reference forms if he agrees. But in most cases military personnel hardly sign for unknown people except family members because of the terms on the declaration.
(b)the attestation form can be signed by any of those who signed your reference forms.

4. Print your photocard.

2 reference forms
1 parents/guardians declaration form
1attestation form
1 photocard

Making 5 forms altogether.

Note: if you choose option 1b all 4 forms to be signed would be signed by the two military officers. All the best.

ENLISTMENT INTO THE NIGERIAN NAVY DIRECT SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION COURSE 26

1. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified Nigerians for enlistment into the Nigerian Navy Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 26.

2. Guidelines. The guidelines for the enlistment can be accessed on the Nigerian Navy Enlistment Portal www.joinnigeriannavy.com which opened on 3 October 2018 for interested candidates to apply online.


3. Qualifications. Interested applicants, who must be Nigerians by birth, should possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division for first degree holders and Upper Credit for HND holders. Male applicants must not be less than 1.68 metres tall while female applicants must not be less than 1.65 metres in height. Applicants must possess NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate and should be between 22 and 28 years by 28 February 2019, except for Imams and Chaplains who should not exceed 30 years by 28 February 2019.

Never say never, me personally will keep the hope alive till 11:59pm Dec 31 2018, since 2 different personnel insisted that they will open portal this year, also asked an officer in one thread like that on nairaland dude said he will get back to me when he gets any info. The whole thing don tire person, though its unusual for army to release form this period, but whenever I remember that we are in "Chanji" anything is possible. Last last na January 2019 training go commence, there is still time. Army can use 2months to run the whole process(From registration to final shortlisting).

Training is supposed to be January coz of joint POP with NDA Termer 5&4 and yet you say you will wait for Form till Dec 31st. Just listen to your self.

It has finally down on all of us that there's no recruitment this year. The allotted time don pass.
The problem now is next year being election year with all its uncertainty recruitment is as well very unlikely.

Till 2020 I guess. And by then most of us here would have been disqualified either by age or certificate mileage. Sad

Of course he should tell her. He's not sleeping with her again is he? Being best friends with his fiancee, the issue will be more painful for her if and when she finds out.

My big brother is really in a big mess. Just few months to his wedding, he found out that the lady he was sleeping with when they stay at same off-campus hostel back in the University is now his Fiance's best friend, who is helping them plan their wedding.
He said they were both shocked when they met. But his Fiance noticed nothing.
My brother's finance asked both of them if they had met since they both attended same Uni, but both of them said no.
Now he's saying he can't live with such lie anymore. It is weighing heavily on his mind.
The problem now is his finance don't take such issue laying down. She almost turn the world upside down when she saw him chatting with his ex.

Yes, but you have to get the originals before the shortlist for screening is out. You will need the originals if you are shortlisted for screening.
