so reality is beginning to set in. I remember how some people bashed and cursed me with a particular person wishing me death indirectly all because I said the Nigerian system will never change. lol! how can you even believe so much in Nigeria. there are people whose list will over rule a god damn merit list except specialised courses and Nigeria I know will put a square peg in a round hole self meaning if you have worked in government service, your boss in account the department can be a graduate of Islamic religious studies while you working under him is an accountant. lol. so your boss will always get you to do the job while he takes the glory or recommends you for promotion. which means a specialised department is not so specialised after all. I will say again, I don't understand when people talk about merit o. lol! it is an unspoken rule never to tell anybody that you were helped by a politician. its even forbidden not for the politician but for you the hopefuls because it can be used against you as soon as the politician is no more in service. if they find out or you're bragging to be a powerful man's baby, just wait till the man is no more or has no mouth, the first thing is to transfer you to sokoto or a place where you will be forced to resign. it happened in my fathers time and its still happening. so tell me how anyone is damn sure that 70% of federal government jobs were gotten on merit. in the history of Nigeria, 70% of the masses has never and till thy kingdom come will never get a federal government job on merit and you can take that to the bank. nobody talks everyone keeps quiet and form I did not no anybody. a nairalander who would see my comment and laugh also says he doesn't no anybody when ogbeni made a phone call to his powerful senator when his portal refused to open, he was among the last to do interview long after y'all did your own. he is here and i m sure he is laughing. just a phone call and his portal opened . anybody that gets fg job on merit is extremely lucky. such luck is not common and that person must be extremely good that you cannot tamper or overlook his/ her performance. that person must also be lucky not to come from the state of a powerful politician if not Bleep your performance. walush and the rest are 100% correct! no more no less. one thing is sure Gods grace but all of you cannot get it at this time because time and chance happen to people individually so what ever comes out take it and move on. my dear hopefuls, if you have the opportunity to live this country, do so and never come back. and I am certain a lot of you will not accept the offer letter, or you think your state of residence is where they will automatically put you. pray they don't carry you to boko haram state. i think dpr is in every state. that is another avenue to weed out people from the south. I rest my case. 7 Likes |

Tamihawtt87: oh my. thank you for speaking the truth. infact I am so sorry for my earlier outburst Cus I think both of us didn't start on the right note. you have said everything that needs to be said with this post. only the grace of God right now, and merit. the country is messed up. imagine if the VP has 3 slots and Ogun state has been given 5, the masses are fighting for only 2. can you beat that. 1 Like 1 Share |

Tamihawtt87: you see what I am saying. its federal character and quota system that is causing all this. so its not even equal. probably they also use population per state and all those phony things to give allocation. that's just wrong. anyway let me not talk anymore before you people say I am a kill joy. 3 Likes |

Tetragramaton: someone said they are picking 400, and since we have 36 states, 36 × 11 is 396. fct is not a state but they usually pick from there I guess and I'm thinking their allocation should be smaller and should make up for the 400. this is an assumption o. 2 Likes |

Smartgrid: off course they are. how do you define federal character or quota system. at this age and time they are still doing federal character. to enter federal school the same rubbish. what competiton are you talking about? its the federal government that is afraid of competition not me. if there was room for competition, people from the south will not be hustling for their rights like this! why would a graduate who scored 50 be picked over and above a graduate that scored 80 at this age and time. it is nonsense. they all did the same exam and should be picked according to score not according to one state being impoverished than the other. FCC should be scrapped. oh and yes the north has always had it easy. come and beat me! 5 Likes 1 Share |

makonko: na that rubbish gan gan dey kill youths from the south. someone from the north that will score 50 but because he is probably the best in his state will be given appointment. then another from the south who scored 80 but maybe comes a distant 20th in his state will not be given appointment. how long shall we continue to live like this. 3 Likes |

csimms7: I don't no of anybody who works there and would live o. i dont know if they do contract staff. what i know about them is limited. mckinsey is on another level entirely. in fact that I got a mail when I applied, was so shocking Cus I thought the company is only for first class. I just applied o not even thinking they would reply. over professional dey worry them. is it the salary scale or the fact that you can build a career over there. the questions they asked me on the form i filled are not even questions u can google. 1 Like |

csimms7: offcourse I do hate the government. its not hidden with the way I attack their style. its unfortunate most of you think I don't wish you well. in fact I would love to be proven wrong about that 70% merit mark abi 90%. I hate this government. I was like you people years back. always felt that the government of the day no matter what will put the youths ahead. until what I saw and experienced face to face and still seeing. off course there are people who would get there on merit, in fact merit list is almost untouchable. if that merit list was as much as this 70% almost everyone who survived the first stage should be able to scale through. I wish you well o, hopefully you will be among those who scaled through by merit. 3 Likes |

Pdirac: this is very true. I did mckensey and I failed woefully self. was told I got below the average mark of 50% or something like that. this was shortly after I finished university. it gave me closure. I had never done a test like mckensey and till date that test has been the hardest test I have taken. I have never come accross such questions in my life I was also told to keep applying for any other job openings . perhaps when I did the test u had not joined. this was between 2007- 2009 or so if I'm not mistaken . 1 Like |

FixNaija: hahhahahahhahahahhaha...... my stomach!!!! I follow them laugh too. secrecy breeds corruption. I am sure the next thing is offer letter which to me is the greatest injustice to Nigerian youths. not even knowing how well one performed so one can improve in other interviews. not even knowing the criteria or cut off mark used in picking candidates is wicked. some people swore that they did so well in the test yet were not invited for this one. some people who already work in government establishment swore that they and others they know got there by merit as if they were shown their scores or the scores of others to know who is truly lying and who got there on merit. even when I did dragnet and mckensy and associates, just to mention a few my score was sent back to me. that to me is transparency. when it comes to government recruitment, if its your time, Its your time. 9 Likes |

dayjahvoo: dayjahvoo: my dear, you no what I noticed , its either their first time applying for fg work or they just finished school. I would have stopped typing but i keep getting mentions and I'm too stubborn not to reply in kind . I wish I can expose more with evidence but I will be putting my friend in jeopardy. I have even written to much knowing that this government is a very hostile one. don't allow yourself be dragged down with their baseless optimism in a corrupt government. what started this argument was I said president has list, VP has list, speaker house of rep and senate has list, the ministers has list, senators and governors has list lastly the prominent traditional rulers. its not to daunt anybodys moral but to show the reality of what is obtainable. if all this idiots have list how can a common man get 70% when we already have 109 senators assuming each of them get one slot almost 30-40 ministers , governors of 36 states and at least 10 traditional rulers and co get one slot. what is left for the common man. you think those ones that enter will say its not merit. they will say its Gods doing . I would do the same. hell I could swear that I don't know anybody to cover my tracks. the moment you tell anyone you know a minister, they will tell you to help them too. that's just life so everyone locks up. for the mean time I will keep talking till I am lucky enough to have an uncle or aunt in a mighty position. hahhahahahahhaha . that's how it is. every man for his own 4 Likes |

lawrence83: hahahhahahahh. thank God I quickly removed the second post I posted after that. were you also aware that nnpc did silent recruitment as DPR too. and this was one of the fights that happened between kachukwu and the GMD nnpc. hence they quickly told the candidates to go back and do it the right way. it was because people were complaining hence everything came out. sit down there make pant dey wear you. that same recruitment still stands. only this time they are forcefully doing it with you people just to shut the masses up. nothing has changed. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Tamihawtt87: it is you and everything you hold dear that will strip naked and walk inside market. infact they will put it on social media. if you are not quick to lash out and talk rubbish. I said earlier that there is space for merit. there is always space for merit in all parastatals. that list is untouchable. they don't joke with it. it would have been better if that list was of a greater percentage and this is not so. someone said 70% will get on merit. it has never happened in the history of Nigeria that a federal government job even lower than this oil companies will give 70℅ to masses on merit. it is not possible. |

tolesky: do you no what happened. usually the panelist have a list of sure candidates. if you are observant. you will notice some people don't spend up to 5 minutes before they finish their interview. coming there to them is just formality. sometimes even being exceptionally good is not enough. In your case they wanted to switch your name for someone else by all means even though you showed them how good you are. this is what they do. I have experienced it before, I think the grace of God and timing. if it is your time, it is your time and no idiot can switch your name. its sad because people think I'm just being mouthy and spreading rumour. but the system has not changed. nnpc and dpr no be moin moin. its not custom or immigration or firs or all those phony names. this companies are the life wire of the nation. the bread and butter of Nigeria and you think one common man will be allowed to just have access to it. kojo! I'm not wishing anybody bad , in fact I wish them very well, for them to even get to this stage that means they are good. I mean the ones who don't no anybody. but like you said, it is not enough. the country is messed up. if any of this people get to the final stage like you, they will look for me and tell me I was right all along. 1 Like |
