Can you suggest what went wrong about my own case when I was rejected for a F1 visa?
I have asked the question previously, I am not married! and my plan for wedding is on but towards next year during the summer break!.
However, I cant lie to the VO about my marital status!! Why then was my visa denied.
The only thing I could have gotten wrong on the day was that I didn't state my background information, my previous and present information, all these I though the VO could get from the system through my DS-160 confirmation slip. As well, I was succinct on why I am going for my PhD program.

Please, could all these be the reasons for my refusal? I need to know because, I want to schedule an appointment soon!.

Hello seunban. If an applicant is denied and they choose to reapply, they will be interviewed by a different visa officer. But at the end of the day, the officer is applying the same laws and standards to the applicant, so the result is usually the same. We don't want people to waste their time and money on applications that are likely to be denied, so that's why we stress the issue of there being a material (significant, sizable, distinct, etc.) change in circumstances or new information.

However, I hope the new consular officer probably will not look at the new application lacking credibility! Just because of the previous interview result because definitely the new consular officer will see refused status on the system.
I have identified what went wrong at the last interview, I was so succinct that I could not give details of why I am going for my PhD.
As well, I gave a direct answer to the marital status, I out rightly just said NO when she asked if I am married; I didn't let her know I have a fiancee which I am getting married to when I visit home next summer!

I got somethings wrong!
However, the marital status remains as single but I have a fiancee. I still don't have travelling experience.

I hope to do well on my next appointment.

What should I be expecting from the reaction of the new consular officer once he or she sees the refused status?!

Thanks for the great works.
You usually talk about "change in status" or "material" for someone reapplying.

I want to ask, what is that change in status it material.
Can we say there is change of status for someone whose marital status or travel history has not changed but only has new information to present on the next appointment?

I would be happy to get clarification on this!

pj3400: Human being are the most ppl to deal with in this life. A lot of u ppl are too condemning. This una attitude won't make some people share a little info they might have gathered. Let me ask u ppl one thing. If the list was eventually pasted and we were told that the list has been with the MOE for close to a month, wuld u ppl apologize to that person that said the list of agege district has been with them since? In every lies dir is an iota of truth. No matter how high our hope is, we shuld also try and control the way we react based on that. We don't have to put fear in ppl for saying what they heard or see because of some ppl that will reap them apart because they belif the info is a lie. We shuld knw how things work in Nigeria now. A police can kill someone now in the presence of witness and yet the IG might still come out and say is all lies that its sum politicians at work. Pls encourage all those that have given us one info or the other so that they can be free to share more and let's work more on our emotions. I have a close and geniue source in my district 1 and close to Fasola but I choose not to ask them anytin cos even if they tell u the truth, u will want things to speed up immediately u hear that lovely info but to one suprise, month after nothing will still happen. God help us all oooo. Don't mind my grammar, mind the msg am trying to pass across.

I agree with you bro...some pple r just found of giving wrong information. Anyone who wants to give a good information should make sure the information is genuine and authentic..! Best of luck to us all..

papayome01: Good evening my fellow comrades.I want to shed more light on the supposed list @ the districts.I took my time to go see a senior officer @ my district who confided in me that all the names of those that were successful during the recruitment process are on the masterlist of each districts.he said they are just awaiting the endorsement of the list from the MOE

I will be expecting a speedy response from either Fashola or MOE. The recruitment palava is tiring.

If the information you paste here is to go by, den i will say Fashola is d one delaying d whole thing.
