I have to agree with you on this one. As onye Anambra through-n-through, I doubt that picture is anywhere from the 30s.
The books of the time never even mentioned a torchlight or an Umbrella. One way or another Chinua Achebe would've mentioned it in his many books.
Again, the many Umbrellas there and the hook of the Umbrella does not suggest the 30s.
Although the man seems to be with no shoes like Goodluck Jonathan at the time, the little boy's well cut hair also does not suggest the 30s.
One wonders why he has no shoes but sells many umbrellas and other interesting items.

Another thing is if they were imported, who was importing them? Igbo history has no one from the 30s doing an importation like this.
Most of the popular names of the 30s for Igbos were those who went to acquire education abroad. And it was around the late 30s to early 40s that they returned back to Nigeria. Zik, Sir Louis Mbanefo, and some few.

Give or take, that picture will be the 60s.

In all of these, my main concern is for them to give us good health system, good infrastructures…. Things that are expensive will have their little days on us all of all these are given.

But na illiterates who only want to feed only na hin most of you be… for food only....Please keep quiet ....if the basic need of life which is good won't be affordable for the masses then wtf is the usefulness of have people who call themselves leaders...before u find it convenient to use those infrastructure you mention like it's only the problem at hand the. people must be able to feed ..regardless of how rich u are ..there will definitely be people who are not in such level...that is how it is everywhere in the world the only difference is other climes food is much more on the available and affordable compared to Nigeria ruled by a man who is paying subsidy secretly and fooling himself with a written script....shame!!!
