My take from the game

1) ) Onachu should tell us how much he has been paying to get into Eagles team ..he can't even control the ball well

2) South Africa is good but we didn't show quality ...we should have won

3) The best point man for the style of football I saw is play tonight is Boniface ...starting onachu with wingers whose strenght isn't crosses is an evidence that finidi is mad

4) Iwobi missed some chance but I will pardon him cos he created a lot too....he was involved in every good thing happening in that attack

5)Lookman was poor today ...

6) Finidi should never for any reason bench Yusuf again ...the energy he give and he way he bursts around into the box is Soo good...he can pass the ball decently too


7) We have every spice to be a good team but we still never lock ....it's up to Finidi to do that

We will have to beg nwabali to stop kicking the ball in ....beg the center backs to get on the ball and play out with iwobi and ndidi...we stand a chance but this people need to put the attack in business...then we can again beg them to stop letting the SA attackers run behind them ....and the midfielders should stop leaving pockets of space everywhere for the SA players to drift in...

Today I sat down an thought about something....what kind of team is Mauricio potchetino trying to build at Chelsea....is it just a good but fragile team ..cos that the kind of team he tends to build more...

It's now more than obvious that the team lacks the discipline to win duels and nullify threats...as a matter of fact at a point today before the equalizer they had 4 center backs on the pitch and they still conceeded from a set piece..

The first problem is caceido...he is a Destroyer DM but the question is how many in air duel does he win every match...how many tackles does he win... believe me ..so few of them..and he isn't really even a technical player who beats the press and gives a forward pass ..it's so likely 9 out of 10 times he has the ball .he is sending it backward to the center backs


The midfield 3 is not creative enough...and they seem to play through then too so easily....fine Chelsea always have the possession and dominate the middle but they do so little with it...

The only solution is tweaking the team...they should just go back to a 3-4-3 ...that will let them stretch the game more considering the fact that even most of their goals comes from the flanks ..and hopefully they can have a back 5 sitting deep when out of possession...or else the team is going back to 11 or 12 cos they will keep shipping in goals

My take from the game.....Mali is very foolish and very naive and inexperienced...I don't know wat they think they are and now am nt even talking about their arrogant attitude ..am talking about their playing approach...when ivory coast went down by a man..they had the game Im their hand ..on the tactical side of it you will have a numerical advantage and no matter how good your opponent is a space will always open for u to create chances but they kept trying to play through the middle again and again against a packed 10 man defence...

Somebody will say ivory coast is good but I disagree ivory coast played a very inexperienced be side and they might not survive semi nor even a third place ...

Asides defensive solidity if there is one thing Eagles for example are good at...it is their ability to stretch the opponent apart ...and if Mali had done that more today ivory coast would have lost in 90 minutes....

Cote d voire gave their all but like I said earlier...they played the weakest and inexperienced team left in the tournament

Yes ...they seem to take from the same book of play....they love to sit back the put a physical point man upfront...if u ask me I will say it will take a lot to beat this super eagles ....and that's not because they are special..NO ..any standard European team will find a way and beat them but most African nations don't have creative midfielders...they don't have players that can play well in half space ..players that can take the ball well in the oppositions half under pressure ..most African teams don't move the ball very fast in possession too ..

Looking at it tactically the team to me is built all to favour victor ...the 3-4-3 gives us room to stretch the opposition and then get balls into the box ..the coach I believe have noticed our midfield is not really elite in quality hence he has decide to play a safer tactics...we have lnt really been conceeding much and we look a little better defensively since we changed to 3-4-3...but the problem is we don't have goal scoring attackers...aside victor we don't actually have that attacker that is fearless very skillful ,strong on the ball ...and can score goals...lookman is nt....chukwueze is not...Moses is not either ..but they can get the calls to a striker....and are fairly ok ...that's where Osimhen comes in...if this team will succeed
