Topic: Mediating Between DHTML And Nairaland

Former link - https://www.nairaland.com/4127799/mediating-between-dhtml-nairaland

You might get a ban if you create this type of topic, I think Seun (and his boys) are happy at the current state of things (they are probably thinking of more ways to punish me, since recursive banning seem not to be working).
Seriously thats low.....

I happen to be on the thread when it was deleted - that is what you saw as missing. Dont forget that I have once been a moderator on Nairaland (but now an OUTLAW - that is how time changes everything).
Do you remember the topic, i want to recreate it with exact topic and see if the ban master will delete it again....

Hmn, you have a point, okay, I Tony, omo ile Ajanlekoko, hereby challenge the almighty Seun thomas to a programming contest.
Oya, state the nature of the challenge and lets get going!
I am undisputed. Na you go fire the first question....

O yeah, you can say that again - say what you like, it changes absolutely nothing

By the way, did you see what happened just now eh? That post you created has been deleted - this shows just how much Nairaland truly respects you.
I did not see any post deleted. Although am missing a thread....

Thats pretty low for anyone.
Who ever deleted it be warned......
Receive brain.....
I am going to recreate the topic.
Lets just assume it was technical glitch.

But there is something that Seun Osewa cannot take away from me sha, he cannot take away the fame of the great DHTML.

When it comes to this board, everyone (even haters) know that DHTML is a more powerful force than SEUN (both SeunThomas & Seun Osewa). And that is a fact - argue on your wall.

Information reaching me is that, a clueless moderator is on his way to ban me and destroy my post too. But no problem, I have an unlimited number of accounts.
No moderator will ban or delete what am posting on. Him no dey fear??
Anyway i dont see any post here that can require a user being banned. Seun Thomas and Seun Osewa are 2 different people. The only thing they share is Seun.

I can definitely build something like 100X better than Nairaland.

Nairaland does not scale properly as well as the many pit falls it has which are easily solvable by me.....

So comparing me and @root is not it.

@root built the land based on the limit of his knowledge.

I dont recommend you try to desecrate it...

Seun started the fight by blocking my domain, why did he not block linda ikeji, stackoverflow, e.t.c this was why i destroyed dhtml18 in the first place.
For the record, he threw the first punch, and no, he has not seen the last of me - my next attack will be off nairaland, and it will be mightier than anything I have done so far.
You can keep it of Nairaland (especially the programming section). If you bring it here you invite me into the fight ohhh. And me i fight with experience......
LOL.
But wish you well bro.

ProgrammingPre-conditions On Join Codelab/internships by seunthomas(op):
I have met a lot of people who want to intern with me or join codelab or some kind of learn and work arrangement.

Though i like this idea, most of them rarely have the needed experience for real life learn work arrangement.

I would be needing the following kinds of people:

a. Android Developer:
You understand android and can build projects that would run on devices as low as 2.3 to the most recent version.
You have some basic knowledge of C/C++ for JNI integration. I prefer Java guys and not kotlin guys for now.
If you are building android apps with javascript or the likes (hybrid tools), i am sorry i dont consider you an android developer yet.
No pawn intended.

b. IOS Developer
You can build apps with either swift3 or objective c. You have some real world experience but looking for a platform to grow.
If you have been coding without a macbook, you are not yet there yet. Get a macbook and we can discuss.

c. Windows Developer
You can build apps with c#/c++ on windows environment. You need a platform to grow, learn. Then am your go to guy. PM me.

Please no shades on this board and you can leave you email address or phone number here.
Your email or phone number should be AES(ECB Mode) using your username(Nairaland handle) as the key.
If you paste your email here without encrypting it i would just JUMP and PASS.
ProgrammingRe: Trollin' by seunthomas: 7:52am On Oct 20, 2017
I want to categorically warn you and your iterations. Stop messing this board up. Oga seun no reason with you does not mean you have to mess up our playground. You have been warned.
Nairaland maybe wack but its all we got for now......
Stay of DHTML*.......

read documentation nko, no o..
na rush rush, just do am. make una try eh.

make una continue. undecided
You no go vex but i want to completely disagree with you 100%.

We have a lot of very creative Nigerian programmers, infact programming itself is about "Creation" or "Creativity".

All programmers all over the world copy and paste code, its highly advised to do so in programming (Na who get time to dey reinvent the wheelhuh?)

NOBODY reads the documentation to detail.

I had a very painstaking learning experience with a few languages and boy i read documentation ohhhh.

Its rarely about reading the documentation but more about understanding what you are reading.

How many times you don buy TV for you house wey you start by opening the very big manual to read??

Most people start doing anything first by trying it out first, they then later go to the manual when they hit a block.

I want to say Nigerian Programmers are going to the permanent site. The ministry is moving....

When i started i only knew a handful of guys writing code, today everybody one learn code.

We are making progress.

Hello people, i still need about 5 people more for an opportunity of a life time. What you stand to gain is access to years of app and system programming experience. Already started shortlisting.

If you are an android developer and can do more than "hello world" you are needed.

If you can work with iOS using swift3 you can join.

If you can build windows desktop apps in c# send me a PM.

If you can build windows 8.0,8.1,10 (UWP) basic apps, then reach out.

HTML,CSS,SQL,DevOps,SystemOps send me a PM now.

Beginner Django developers send me a PM now.

Although this allows you to gain experience and learn and make mistakes, we "may" compensate you for your time and effort.

Send me a PM.

ProgrammingRe: Django Programmers Thread by seunthomas(op): 9:07am On Aug 02, 2017
I will start the tutorial as soon as we have 20 interested people.

The only prerequisites for this training is knowledge of python (or advanced knowledge of any programming language- I assume you should be able to catch up if you are very good with any programming language).

It would be impossible to follow this tutorial if you don't have a laptop, so for you guys who code with your phone, go and sell that expensive Samsung Galaxy you are using and buy a really good used laptop that you can use to write code.

If you are using windows as your development environment, try to setup python, django, mysqldb (optionally you can also install redis,django-redis-sessions,celery). So as not to mess up your development environment you should also install virtualenv.

Buy a can of Nescafe and milk. Wont hurt giving yourself a good reward of a hot cup of coffee after cracking that challenging task.

I will try to make it as modular as possible and would answer questions after each module.

There will be assignments which i expected would be deployed on a server.

Might also help to get a GitHub account so you can upload your work to GitHub.

Also you can get a free AWS account so you can run your code on a live server.

Waiting for 20....

ProgrammingRe: 2017 Generation Of Programmers - What Languages Are You Using? by seunthomas: 2:48pm On Jul 28, 2017
I thought someone said they were leaving NL Programming section for good.

Anyway to answer your question.

I use a lot of languages, each language has its own area of specialty and depending on what the client can afford. I count like 10-15 languages that i can wake up any day and write code in.

The idea is most of this languages are similar, if you want to know many, just learn the differences around each one and develop your own style of writing them.

On that NL programming section is boring. I must agree with you on that. It has become home of MMM and Ponzi script creators.

Do you think the Oga on Top(root-Seun) would be opposed to building a mobile client around NL. I have some nice ideas and would open source the finished code, if i am giving the go ahead.

ProgrammingRe: Php Vs Python by seunthomas: 8:25pm On Jul 07, 2017
If i were to advice the OP, just go ahead and Learn python. Take this from someone who has been doing this for a long time. The bad thing about python is you may not get too many jobs or job offers, but python is far more advance in terms of functionality, libraries than php can muster. And it will be so for a very long time. It is also the preferred language for POC (Proof of concept), if you are working on a new and very risky area, its always better to prototype with python. If it can be done in python, then it most likely would be doable in just about any other reasonable language.

ProgrammingDriverless Cars And The Future Of Motion by seunthomas(op): 9:03am On Apr 07, 2017
Hello guys. I want us to share our views on driverless cars and the future of motion.
This is one topic that causes a lot of buzz last year.
A lot of people are concerned for safety as well as other ethical issues...
Areas were we need to discuss on are:
a. Safety-Can the cars be made 99.999% safe
b. Security- Can the cars be attacked by hackers or malicious software.
c. How would the cars react with other human drivers on the road. Humans have a very peculiar way of driving...

Please this is a matured thread. Contribute maturedly. No name calling or attacks on anyone's view.

Thanks.

ProgrammingRe: Why I Will Not Hire A One-man Developer Again by seunthomas:
A lot of factors may cause the delay in a project.

In my own experience, sometimes the issue may be from the client brief.

In some instances the client may want something and the developer is thinking something else.

It also lies in the experience of the developer.

And the very common one is issue with 3rd party integrations. I once tried to integrate a 3rd party mobile payment sdk and it took me more than 3 days. Ordinarily it would not take me more than a few hours but the documentation for the SDK was very brief and the sdk itself was buggy.

Anyway i am available for outsourcing (IOS,Android,Windows)
