Programming › Re: Pls How Do I Send Fingerprint Image Directly To Database Without File Upload? by seunthomas: 9:19pm On Feb 28, 2017 |
duke2017: ok Boss...thank u...am building a desktop application...it a biometric application.. finger print will b capture and shown on jlabel1, another 1 will b capture and shown on jlabel2 . if minutiae on jlabel = minutiae on jlabel2, then register the minutiae as fingerprint into database.. the fingerprint is declared as long,so I converted it to string. from string, we both know u have to convert it to binary stream... how do I do this?.. If you are asking how to convert the String to byte stream then you can do this: String fingerprintstr= "frggteeeeeeeeeeeee";
String binarystream= ""; char[] arraychar= fingerprintstr.toCharArray();
for (int i = 0; i < arraychar.length; i++) { binarystream+= Integer.toBinaryString(arraychar[i]) + " "; }

duke2017: pls what class should I use to send fingerprint image directly to database without using file upload? I checked Google. suggestion there is that I should pass the image to InputStream but am having error on my IDE..pls how do I fix it? pls give me some codes.. thanks. You need to give more information. Is this a web app or desktop application? How do you plan to use the fingerprint image? Is this a biometric application. This would help you determine the best way to store your finger print image. Ideally storing images as blob in a database is a BIG NO NO..... |

Programming › Re: Which Programming Language Is Used In Programming Sim Cards? by seunthomas: 10:45pm On Feb 22, 2017 |
kanirip: SIM cards are not programmed per se. They are created like the chip on an atm card. Their main aim is to securely identify a user while ensuring secure communication between the device utilising the chip and an expectant communication system. The systems(atm, mobile phones) that validate these sim cards, are programmed to ensure that the sim cards are valid and registered on the system ensuring that only authorised sim cards are allowed for use. If you specify your question I can give a more specific answer. Actually simcards are programmed and applications are installed on sim cards. I was once contracted to do that. Just for corrections. |

guru01: @seunthomas it really high time respect yourself by not post on this section again. I think you are incompetent to be know as a programmer. For the last few months all you do is talk. If you are good in what you do, build a simple tool for everybody to benefit from or forever talk and be regarded as our blogger. Look at this daytime drunk Let me get back from Krypton and i will give you a good a** kicking straight to GN-z11 |

dhtml18: No evidence, you aint got nothing - talk is cheap.
Okay, i resign from this thread. You guys can say whatever you like, if you like write 1 billion lines of codes for something you can do with fewer lines - it is not my concern.
I am subscribing from this thread, and swear never to open it again (or post another comment). Highly appreciated earthling..... |
Programming › Re: How Many Lines Of Code Is Your Largest Work So Far? by seunthomas(op): 11:04pm On Oct 16, 2016 |
dhtml18: Okay, i have been building valueless softwares (like you claim), I have challenged you before but you backed down. Let us compare our projects side by side - like a game of tictactoe - you post your project, and i post mine - and people review. But you are afraid and quickly turned your response into a pointless argument. At least thank God i have a GIT repo, you wey no get nko?
No way you will take up this challenge, i know you will argue like always and say pointless things. That is why i always laff at all these your posts. For the record, you are the most useless programmerblogger on this board.
#mr realtimedata aka mr troll aka mr kingtroll the first of nairaland programming I actually have several git repos. But i dont want to post them here because the projects on them are private. We also cant compare projects you have really not done anything remarkable. Why will i be competing with you na ?? Please if you wont post your LOC for any project, dont post on this thread. Be warned earthling.... |
Programming › Re: How Many Lines Of Code Is Your Largest Work So Far? by seunthomas(op): 10:51pm On Oct 16, 2016 |
dhtml18: When people are discussing frameworks, benchmarking etc, it is the number of lines of codes you guys are bragging about? Some of us are looking for ways to minimize the length of codes we write per progress. I have build a JAVA/NATIVE ANDROID FRAMEWORK so that the number of actual lines of codes i write per project will reduce drastically so that i can deliver apps in record time. I have written a cms with codigniter framework so that I can turn out stunning websites within a short time with fewer lines of code (outside the cms). And many other things, some people are bragging that you write like 1000000 lines of codes per project, eh? This is really absurd. I care not for the number of lines of codes, I am a business programmer - fast project turnover time is what i am interested in.
Anyone that wishes to laugh at me should laugh, but that is my own. I care not for this thread, and should ordinarily not have talked sef. It is not like I dont have apps with lots of lines of codes, but for me, that is IRRELEVANT. Mr Business Programmer, no matter how much you optimize code, their are some projects that by design will grow that large. One of the ways software is actually valued is by the number of LOC. So with your highly optimized few lines of code, you probably have been building valueless software. Please lets know how many lines of code your CI forked framework is. Anyother response maybe considered as distracting this thread. We are waiting... |

DanielTheGeek: Bro, you've got time oh. It seems seun hired the blogger to make this board lively but he's failing. I've never encountered anybody so boastful and arrogant. What exactly have i boasted about?? And am i really arrogant?? I think you take me too seriously. And really am i a blogger (considering i don't have a blog). I think you just feel intimidated because all your life you have been living under a rock thinking thats how big the world is But now that someone has woken you up to reality, you rather prefer to remain under your rock. I want to categorically say that in reality much more has been learnt from my postings on this section. I just make it much easier to digest some facts by putting in some humor. Bro, wake up the world is bigger than your rock. |

asalimpo: op, at this point you should admit that you were bluffing. It's apparent you were telling a fib (fabu) . or if not, then why get so defensive about it. You cant say what project it is, for fear that from the project name, the entire source code will discovered and stolen (*very logical mind you have*).
Your story just doesnt add up. Besides some1 single handedly architecting 100k+ solution wouldnt come here to argue that java arrays are not homogenous!! You would have locked down this knowledge in your subconscious. Even in your sleep you'd give the right answer. You'd know the inner workings of OOP (polymorphism, abstraction, inheritance, etc) because without this deep knowledge you can create large modular extensible software. You are still on the array topic?? I teach people like you for a living but like they say when a child is born dull nothing can be done to save that child except the child. If you actually no anything about programming, you will know that arrays are just references to memory. Anyway, nothing can be done for you at this stage. I advice you not to depend on all you read online as a lot of falsehood are online. Buy textbooks from revered authors. |

dhtml18: This thread is encouraging bad programming practice. You are meant to split your projects into bits and pieces, how can you be writing 100000 lines into a single file? E gba mi o! Only a fool will be expecting to see 100k lines of code in a single file. The mare thought that you can even reason along this line is remarkable. I am shaking my head seriously and laughing vigorously in Mugabe's voice. |
