Business › Re: CBN Offers ₦50 Billion Credit To Households, Businesses Affected By Coronavirus by sevo(m): 10:06pm On Mar 26, 2020 |
Bontia: I weep for my nation for we have the most wicked leaders. I have one question for the CBN. If a household has been adversely affected by Covid-19 and their final resort is to take the N3m loan from CBN, how would the household repay the N3m plus 5% interest within 12 months. Somebody will now come and say I am a citizen of Nigeria and I have a government. In a country where I am no a citizen the govt has made provisions to pay me $2,000 monthly for the next four months if I am adversely affected by Covid-19. There are other palliative measures made available by the govt such as deferring my mortgage payments for the next 6 months. Deffering utility payments for the next 3 months. Defferring property taxes for the next 6 months. Increasing child care benefit by $300. I very much understand that Nigeria's economy may not be as vibrant as that of a developed nation but ask yourself the question how did we get here? Who did this to us? This is exactly what I was saying in another post...CBN suppose to have stepped in and order a loan holiday for people that took out Loans |
Politics › Re: COVID-19: Ahmad Lawan Urges Buhari To Provide Relief For Poor Nigerians by sevo(m): 6:32pm On Mar 26, 2020 |
Reference: Indeed loans...but those can be forgiven. What about insurance for stock losses. Perishables will rot, products will expire, chemicals will denature, rains are coming so cement will hydrate and calcify in stores, sites, silos and on trucks...the list goes on and on.
Without clear policy positions I cannot see the insurance industry for instance surviving the claims that it will be inundated with post pandemic. The goverment is seriously behind the COVID reality curve.
What the hell had they been doing since January when other countries began to struggle. Abi they just sat down watching Contagion movie. They didn't see it coming. Spot on!! |
Politics › Re: COVID-19: Ahmad Lawan Urges Buhari To Provide Relief For Poor Nigerians by sevo(m): 5:43pm On Mar 26, 2020 |
There should also be loan holiday for individuals who must have collected loans from banks and private loan lenders...how do you expect people and businesses to repay loan when they are not even allowed to open their shops....I swear down...we no get leadership for this country..some body should give all our useless leaders...
