Nairaland / General / Politics Complain Thread - Unfair Bans! by sexkilzaphull: 3:31am On Jul 30, 2013
This post is mainly to Seun and his moderators plus all NLanders who may be concerned. There used to be a thread where we could complain and contact Seun before but now I can't find the thread, what is happening?

Unfair Bans:

Seun, I have been on NL for a long time and I can tell the story of this site, your creation how it was back then! Today, things have changed and changing really fast! Back then, it was possible for posters to rack up 30,000 posts but today, your moderators work only to kill prolific contributors to the content that makes NL a viable business! We are the creators of the content of this site and even if there is need for a ban, it should be done fairly! In the last several months, it appears as though this set of moderators are out to perpetuate their own personal agenda and carry out vendetta at certain posters and IDs! NL is a forum where everyone has freedom of speech (which must be expressed with certain level of responsibility and decorum) but if another poster goes off and attacks another poster unnecessarily and with strong language, and the mods do nothing, why should the initial victim do nothing? When he retaliates, guess what? Well he is banned while the initial offender is allowed to go free and the reasons are very obvious - it panders and satisfies the prejudiced views of the particular moderator - if not, what is a better reason? That is, the views or things a moderator would like to say but he can't, maybe because he is a mod, is advanced by another poster and he leaves it while he shuts down the opposition, why?

There are a lot of disadvantages to a perceived unfairness which is taking over this forum, plus posters who will eventually create 100s of IDs which effectively negates good statistics and degrades the overall quality of the forum. The moderators in question know themselves and I would rather leave it at that.

cool

You are on point. My Yoruba friend in Enugu drives jeep while living in a one room apartment. He has never harboured the thought of buying land in Enugu, even though he has the financial shoulder. Kept his family in Lagos while he flirts here. As a matter of fact, he can pack all his property to west at a moment notice. I don't know why Igbos buy lands and acquires properties in a distant hostile places.

Why will he do that? Buy a land in Enugu where he will be cheated, sold overpriced land at 1000% the original cost? Be discriminated openly? Well, tell him I say he should not buy any land at all! We have land, only Oyo State is about the size of the entire SE.

Your type of balanced, rational human being and Nigerian is who we want in Lagos and our prosperous lands! I wish Iboland all the best, if they can attract all the best people in the world to Nigerian Iboland, that is a good thing! However, until then, we expect them to play by our rules!

"I just encountered Gov Fashola side-by-side in traffic now. No tinted windows, no siren, no noise. He sat in that traffic reading a magazine and had a tall stack of books by his side. One of them was President Bill Clinton's best-seller, Giving. No wonder"

Will Nigerians vote this man as president? Will Nigeria get itself out of the rut it is by voting performant leadership in Fashola?

Prejudiced and tribalistic individuals like you should attempt, for your own self-development, to conquer the crude desire to hate and stereotype others emptily.

You are no better than a racist or even a genocidal Hitler, in that respect. Men like Mimiko and Tinubu will die but good ideas and laudable initiative will live beyond them. Forumers should use the link below to see what DAWN is about.

DAWN has united SW intelligentsia. Many, including those not at all interested in politics, have fallen over themselves to add technocratic input to DAWN because they are all sick of how the centre, as virtually all Nigerias agrees, is an impediment to the development of Nigeria.

I feel so PROUD seeing that a framework document is already in place! I feel proud of the tone of the document, even though I have just gotten to page 3! I like that Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo's contribution to the Yorubas and Nigeria comes front and center in the first paragraph! I am really excited! grin grin grin

The entire iboland is in disarray, no single coherent state in entire SE and the Yoruba South West opening another FRONT all others are yet to even think about and here they are volunteering useless opinions? Mimiko is a single human being, he is not indispensable! When the DAWN seed and program beings to yield results, who will be losing? Well it is just a matter of time before sensible people in Ondo State tell Mimiko that having his belly full with stolen riches does not mean they or their children are fed! Eventually, everything will fall in its proper place!

Sincere 9gerian: I'm shocked that Fashola and his team could repeat this barbaric, thoughtless, evil, devilish deportation again. This is unbelievable. Deportation of Nigerians within Nigeria. It further CONFIRMS that the first incident was not done in error. This is man's inhumanity to man. This has finally confirmed that Fashola is depotic, evil and heartless. Fashola cannot be a Nigeria.

It is with a tearful eyes that I now place a curse on Fashola and declare WAR on him. From this day, I'll call into and write every programme on radio and tv, that I have assess to and place a curse on Fashola. The war will also be felt on this platform. I'll keep doing this until the curse on Fashola reverberates in the whole country. I implore every patriotic Nigerian to join me in this war.

You are a LOSER man, what else are you going to do that you have not done before? scribble: igbos and their double standards. always quick to say yoruba land is no mans land as it was a former capital.

now lets say lagos was anambra or delta state. we will have asari dokubo telling us that it is their land/oil

we've always maintained we dont need ur oil...maybe the northerners do but westerners dont.

even without oil, lagos economy is poised to pass Nigeria if these inept leaders keep messing up, and thats according to an American professor.

We are d only state thats allowing non-indigenes as commissioner. we allow ibos to be commissioner here. ibos are too tribalistic. u can have ur destitute back

Well said! The ibos and their AGIP are always trying to slow the Yoruba South West down with all kinds of nonsense! We are tired of your go slow, slow thinking, stealing and corruption while promising all kinds of BS! In the next 4 years, with more vigorous leadership, Oyo and Ogun will be making more progress toward what Lagos is NOW! They won't be there yet but they will be establishing a trend of strong economic, industrial and all-round progress! They will be followed closely by Ondo, Osun and Ekiti and hopefully they can integrate their economies more tightly, completely using the FG's declining allocation payout as a mere change to save in the bank and lend at high interest to the wasteful governments in Nigeria! This is reality, don't slow us down again or is it by force?? angry angry angry

Onlytruth: Anyway on a very serious note, Fashola is playing with fire.
My main concern is what Gov Obi would do in response to this idiotic act by a fake SAN.
He is not powerless at all. In fact because of presidential politics of 2015, and because Obi is leaving office next year, he can make all kinds of trouble for ANYbody who fails to address this issue.
He is only limited by his ability to make trouble. Even governor Orji of Abia would address this issue better than Obi.

What is Obi going to do? Lead an invasion army to Fashola? There is nothing he can do! What he could have done is to turn Anambra into the utopia you think it is and have everyone in Nigeria move there rather than Lagos, then he can "deport" whoever but he failed to do that!

I suppose you should tell me? because last time I checked from 1967, it is still one Nigeria, One land, One people.grin grin grin
Literarily, I am not really sure of what you mean by Yoruba land. All lands belong to the Federal Govt. of Nigeria.

That is not true, and I am not even a lawyer! Every land is vested in the Governor of the State, let our lawyers confirm or correct as necessary! Yes, it is ONE Nigeria but you have to pay taxes, not breeding criminalities and thievery, walking around aimlessly, it's just a matter of time before such people kidnap an innocent somebody! Is it not better to have them returned than to charge them to court and they end up in prison or they end up in criminality and are punished severely? If you live in our lands, you must pay your taxes, work and contribute something, the people planning, working, administering are not your slaves! This is why the whole part of a country wants to kill itself over our lands! Yes, we worked hard, we evolved a sophisticated culture for over 10,000 years! Our fathers, our leaders like Chief Obafemi Awolowo bequeathed more than education to us, something some people cannot "get" even if they spend all their lives in class!
