I was at d human resources dept TCN this morning. I complained about non-reception of sms by some people. The person I met there said network problem may be responsible for that. One of us met me there. He too complained about non-reception of sms. He said he has not been receiving sms from d past. He was then asked of his zone and directed to d appropriate office and man. From what I could gather from the person I met there, it would be advisable for those who don't receive d sms to visit Abuja headquarters and get their issue resolved like that guy. Because he was directed to d appropriate man immediately after complaining about non reception of sms.

Quodragoals: @seyi, my own case was due to the mobile number porting which I did, I was unable to receive text from TCN and NAPTIN. As a result of this I rely heavily on this forum for any update. Thanks
The question I think I will ask is that, some people claim they don't get d text, what should they do?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Transmission company of Nigeria (TCN). by SeyiGodspower: 6:59pm On Dec 22, 2013
Kano TCN:

From his previous post , it shows he got the Naptin Txt, he is complaining 4 TCN text.
I can't say anything about NAPTIN's text but whatever info I can gather as per TCN, I will update the forum tomorrow. But whoever doesn't get d text but has d appointment letter has no reason to panic. It is just a matter of lodging complaint as such may be due to a little mistake.

Quodragoals: @seyi, what about the advert which stipulates 6-17 jan.2014 as the orientation date?
I don't understand this question as related to the issue of updating our details which is our current subject of discussion. Anyway I will still return to d site and read everything word for word and I want everyone to do so.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Transmission company of Nigeria (TCN). by SeyiGodspower: 2:43pm On Dec 20, 2013
Just click on whatever you want to update either to add new thing or change something. For example, if you want to update your educational qualification, log in, then just click on EDUCATION the field will appear and you then fill in the new university, the qualification recently obtained, the year and some other things demanded. Same thing also applicable to others.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Transmission company of Nigeria (TCN). by SeyiGodspower: 2:28pm On Dec 20, 2013
Updating your details means that if there is any recent experiences or certificates you have gained or obtained, you can add them to what you have already entered. You can upload any recent certificate either academic or professional, you can add any recent professional experience which you might have gained between september when we first visited the site and now to your career path. You can even change your picture. That's how to update.

January is our resumption date. I have confirmed it again from my source. But our salary has not commenced according to the source because we are yet to be documented.

I wonder o. Money money money everytime. Documentation is still there, assumption of duty is there, all these casual postponements everyday is there. We never consider them necessary for discussion. We were told the unpaid staff are d ones delaying us and whether they have now been paid or not, nobody cares to verify. About 15 engineers were recruited from my state less than three weeks ago in what I can describe as the cheapest recruitment I have ever witnessed. They were taken to Kainji for a two- week training. Now they have been posted to the GENCOS and DISCOS depending on their individual choices. I met one of them on d street about 3 days ago who explained everything to me. Ours is going to months now without even a documentation not to talk of resumption and we are here crying wolf about salary packages. Maybe some of us have been earning money where they have not worked. I think we should be more concerned about resumption infos. And to those who claimed they resigned their highly paid job for this job, instead for you to be grateful to God and to the Fed Govt for avoiding long leg and man-know-man in this recruitment, the first of its kind in the history of Nigeria, you are here grumbling. Even though you have the right to apply for any job, some qualified people didn't get this job and they are not working anywhere, you may probably be d ones that prevented their chances. Abeg let's learn to be grateful and to be following event as it unfolds. Documentation first, resumption of duty and then money. That's the sequence.

He is alive: House, I need your contribution regarding the questions below:

1) What would happen If +ve terminal of a DC battery is connected to a bulb (using one wire) & another wire coming out from bulb is inserted in the ground (earth) instead of connecting it to the -ve terminal of the battery:
a) Would the bulb glow?
b) If yes, does it mean electrons in the wire flow into the earth?
c) If no, would it glow if the -ve terminal of the battery is connected to
the ground?

2) Could you account for the electrons that enter the ground as a result of:
a) connection of the neutral of electric source and drain to a ground?
b) Short circuit fault to a ground?
c) Surges been directed to the ground?

*please give explanation where necessary.
Thanking you.
The bulb would not glow until the negative terminal of the battery is also earthed. Current flows from the negative terminal of a battery to the positive terminal. The direction of conventional current flow which is from positive terminal of the battery to the negative terminal is wrong. In the case above, when d negative terminal of d battery is earthed, current i.e electrons will flow from d negative terminal to d earth and from d earth to d wire connected to d bulb which you have already earthed.Current will then flow from d bulb to d positive terminal of d battery through d other wire which you have already connected to d positive terminal of d battery

Guys, is there not a way of removing this jejune from this thread? Even if you make your own post searching for information from your other successful colleagues without calling him, without mentioning his name, he will still attack you. He will still call you name. His bitterness has gone beyond control. Are we the recruiters? Are we the federal govt? I wonder why the chicken is now holding grudge against the cooking pot instead of the knife that kills it.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Transmission company of Nigeria (TCN). by SeyiGodspower: 3:28pm On Dec 03, 2013
TCN Does not need the service of a frustrated slowpoke, hence the reason you didn't get the job. TCN has been repositioned for better performance. That's the reason they recruited young and energetic engineers. But a riff-raff like you will only come and spoil it, hence the reason you were not successful. Go and intensify the use of your juju and whatever you know. You will use your own head to carry it. Stupid nincompoop!

I just made call to the headquarters now. I also got the same info with blessmyij. The staff said there is no problem about our employment and that there is no cause for alarm. She said d delay in our documentation and resumption of duty was due to some staffers who have not received their severance payment. She said those staff won't be happy seen us resuming duty. She said as soon as those concerned get paid, they are going to text us back.

We should not totally rule-out the possibility of our resumption this year and the likelihood of getting our pay in full starting from september till date. While surfing through the internet about TCN information, I got two numbers and their Abuja address. That address was correct but I don't know how authentic are those numbers in connection with TCN information centre.

Sourcing/Looking for victory in an arguement is a sign of immaturity. Exactly my brother! This last info from Blessmyij is what the Immature minds have been earnestly waiting for in order to justify their everlasting inheritance called Skepticism. Now they have got it. They are now winners. I say congratulations to them.

Someone should stop posting nonsensical post on this thread. If you don't have anything sensible to offer, keep quiet and stop posting trash on this thread. I wonder where this kind of people graduated from. If not from a distant learning centre, it must be from one of these muchroom institutions.

Some folks will never show face here when things are going on well. Every good news from TCN to us will automatically send them away, only to resurface whenever we post it here that we have received sms of postponement. By their fruit, we have known them. One of them even sound childish. We commend the Abuja residents among us who endeavour to go to the Hqters. You may be contented with all info, that's your own burden to bear. It doesn't applicable to others.
