How can you say the Chinese are more innovative than the japs. The Japanese are some of the most homogeneous and innovative society out there. Companies rush to China for cheap labour not necessarily for technological advancement. Those are innovative but not in this century or even within the last decade. All you mentioned are currently being done cheaper with same quality by the South Koreans. If you noticed, no gene therapy, gene editing, driverless cars, electric vehicles (the closest she has done is hydrogen powered vehicles but sales have been abysmal with subsidies) was mentioned. Regenerative medicine that she innovated, Americans are creating companies using the technology and are going faster than her. I did not state that she is not innovative but compared to the Americans and Chinese, she is no more innovating.

As per home and mobile electronics, the Koreans have taken over i.e. LG and Samsung.
As per the automotive segment, they are slowly creeping up too. So many people are now dumping their highlander for Telluride or Pallisade due to the luxury they put in thier automobiles for a fraction of cost, plus the 10 years warranty unlike the 3 to 5 years in other manufacturers.

I don't know what these Koreans are doing, but they are surely getting it right, and to think South Korea only became independent in 1945. (They were under Japanese rule from 1910 to 1945).

Japan is miles ahead of Korea, it is just LG and Samsung time,it doesn't mm mean that they are the best, just that I don't have time, I can list them for u from auto to camera to ship to space to building so on.

In simple English LED and QLEDs are almost the same but for the inclusion of quantum dots(that’s what the Q is) LEDs are backlit which is like putting a picture at the back of a floriscent bulb. It’s the light at the back that makes you see the pictures, same. With lEDs, there’s a back light that produces light for the images on the screen. Which is why LED TVs in a black scene are never truly black, it’s always grey-ish black because it’s back lit, now with for QLEDs it’s basically the same thing but it’s an improved technology on led by the introduction of quantum dot, these dots are able to create their own color once it’s hit by the backlight of the LED. Hence QLEDs are brighter, have better contrast and deep blacks than reguler led. Now OLEDs. They don’t need any backlight at all. Each pixel(dot) produces its own light, so in black scenes. It’s pitch black cos the pixel is off. OLEDs are more power saving. They used to be better than qled but now they are kneck to kneck becuae technology has improved. You are good with either one. Then also Samsung only makes QLeD. LG makes only OLED. You are fine with either one but QLEDs are better cos oled has a tendency to have pixel burn after a long while of usage

Good morning Mr Ismy 5000.
In the past, we reviewed decoders here but mostly the GUI (Graphic User Interface), how sensitive the tuner is, the physical appearance of the receiver etc. We don't normally expose the other dark side features of the receiver. We only say that a particular receiver is an iks receiver and we move on. For example, when Strong-technologies introduced SRT 4653X, the receiver was reviewed and compared with the older receivers that was available then like wise when SRT 4669X was introduced in the market.
Again, when Qsat receiver was introduced in the market, it was reviewed here, the GUI, tuner performance, physical appearance. The reviewers only mentioned that it is an iks receiver. But as days passed by, some folks reviewed the dark side of the Qsat which so many people was against it.
You see, am also against the reviewing of the dark side of some satellite receivers but I would want us to be reviewing the non incriminating features of receivers that is available in the market.

Yes,I don't see any reason why decoders shouldn't be talked about since the dark sides are not mentioned,I noticed that since they stopped talking about specifications and comparisons of decoders,this forum has been drought and dried. Let's revive this thread.
