I mentioned an incident about a TV being sold to more than one person, right. Well, the seller is @qualityGod. I didn't know it was the same guy who claimed to have had one-on-one interaction and successful transactions with scammer @Klassiq01, until boss @rakiticbarca pointed it out on the TV thread.

Well, now, it has happened. @QualityGod has also scammed 3 or more people of money for a 43" LG LED TV. It is now obvious that QualityGod was/is Klassiq01.

Indeed, na greed go kill some buyers. The average scammer is only able to scam people based on their level of greed. Imagine , a 43" TV was posted for 60k. As if that wasn't a red flag already, this buyer still negotiated it to N30,000, and added N3,000 for waybill? N33,000 for a 43" LED TV? Chisos.

You're looking at, at least 50k, for the S8 Plus screen, and 35-40k for the S7 Edge's screen.
S8 Plus, UK-used is around 70-75k, while S7 Edge is around 50-55k.

So, I'm selling the panels as parts, basically, or to someone who has the screen or can get it cheaper.

Only Lagos, Abuja and Ogun State are on total lockdown. Don't forget there are some buyers and sellers on this thread in other locations where there isn't total lockdown, if a seller is in this type of location, he/she can still sell his/her AIN items to the buyer in the same location where there is no restrictions as long as they take precautionary safety measures, there's something called contactless delivery during this period especially within locations where there's no total lockdown (and it is being practiced even in New York and other places where cases are rising).

Note that it's very important to stay home and stay safe during this period but at the same time some things are sometimes essential. Thinking about it on the flip side, closing the thread will deprive some users (especially new ones) the opportunity to ask question openly hence, likely to fall into the wrong hands.

In short, anyone that tries to scam another person at this time is already a scammer and anyone that gets scammed during this period has definitely refused to ask vital questions or do his/her due diligence on the thread, the lockdown or pandemic is no reason for such acts. Stay safe!!!

Another angle worthy of note, boss. Yes, I agree, AIN can still go on among sellers and buyers residing in states not affected by the lockdown and interstate travel and logistics services shutdown.

I really don't understand the problem with people, at a time, I thought people were just doing ad for comment sake till some guys hit me up for some deals and I told them no, I'm strictly observing the lockdown order.

I suggested earlier that people should stop buying and selling but like the typical Nigerians, no one gives in shit in Harvey Specter's voice until we're forced to do something we won't.

Yes, I support the motion that this thread be closed till the lockdown order is lifted, if not for scam sake, at least for our personal sake of exposure to Covid-19. Closing of the thread temporary, I wouldn't want such because it will even lead to dubious members opening their individual thread with the sole aim of scamming just like the case of the TV you quoted, I think the first page of this thread is a big warning to those buying either as existing or new members, so failure to read the first page before any transaction should be the total loss of such person. We can only try to help if it's possible but he/she should not think is compulsory.

I as a person is taking this "Stay at home" period to read some threads here on nairaland which I find helpful, so imagine if such threads were close down already. And I believed one or two person is taking his or her time to read about this thread also. I think best we can do is to try and counter any suspicious sales that will find its way to this thread before it find its prey.

Lagos, Abuja, and Ogun state are, officially, locked down, by the Federal government. Other states also have their state government-imposed lockdowns and curfews. Also, there are no cargoes coming in through NAHCO, and most interstate traveling and logistics have been shutdown.

Now, in order to prevent possible TLC and AIN deal scams, I'm suggesting that @dragnet should TEMPORARILY close or hide this thread.
I say this, because I saw a 'TV for sale' thread yesterday, and it appears that 2 or 3 people have paid for one TV, and with the lockdown, none of them will get the TV. I guess the seller lured them with a cheap price, and then told them to pay or deposit, for them to seal the deal, so that he won't sell to another person. Now, in order to forestall such an incident (selling one item to multiple people or collecting money from many people for a non-existent item) from happening here, (and, it will happen without any suspicion, because that's how we do TLC deals on a good day, and even AIN may be sold to multiple people, by a trusted dealer), can we all agree to have the thread closed or hidden, for the duration of lockdowns in major states?
