Congratulaions, ma'am. julieme: I want to use this medium to say thank to Andman and his team. I wish u more sales.
Below r the few issues I noticed when my car arrived: 1. The AC wasn't working , I just had to refill the gas. 2. The car radio needed a code which I was able to get with the help of some people here. Although I later saw it in the user's manual. 3. The car came with just one key and it's not a remote keyless entry; this I haven't fixed yet though. Once again thank you Andman and everyone here, cos some of the posts I read here helped convince me to do business with him. Thank you and may God bless u for the good work u r doing. |

Testimony time Yesterday morning, one of my big bros from church asked me to help him get a Xiaomi Note 9s phone or recommend a trusted dealer of Xiaomi phones, as he doesn't want to risk going to buy fufu at Ikeja. So, I came here, and i looked through the phone swap thread and this one, and I sent him screenshots of some trusted dealers/importers and their price list. He settled for boss @Nurex01, and I told him to set up a WhatsApp group chat with 3 of us. I had wanted to come get vouches here, but decided to go the escrow way. Boss Nurex01 recommended boss @Protein0 to serve as escrow between him and my buyer. Everything was setup and money and order were sent out. This evening, the buyer told me that he has received his Xiaomi Note 9s at Jakande Estate, Mile 2, Lagos, and everything came as described. Brand new, in sealed box. I'm really grateful to both the escrow and the seller, for not falling my hand. I knew I could count on you, bosses. It's also noteworthy to say that boss @Protein0 did not collect N1 naira, as escrow charges. He did all selflessly and with love. Thank you, boss. Allah's rahmah always.

Ipsum: I don't even know which is more distributing: the fact that this case was even brought here in the first place--- whose verdict was clear as daylight right from the very beginning.
Or the fact that this is just all it takes to ruin a 3 year old good working relationship. This is scary. Worse of all, the relationship was described as a "mentor to son" relationship. This is even makes it more disappointing.
All I see in this case is intimidation & power play. Mentor is shocked at son's audacity to not bend-the-knee. Same way son was shocked at mentor's handling of what shouldn't even be a case in the first place.
A part of me wonders if we'll even be having this conversation in the first place if mentor bought the phone from an equally big fish in this business, who isn't a "small boy" he can flog(like the image was painted).
Let me ask: so what would have happened if after Mc paid for this item, then makes arrangement to collect the next day, but emmafe tells him that item has been sold to someone else?
Will Mc take that? Simply no!! Why? Because the ITEM NOW BELONGS TO HIM. It no longer belonged to emmafe after agreement & payment was made. Or are we going to pretend that's not how it works? Is it not for this same reason people who pay for TLC, only for seller to sell to someone else come here to drag them?
We can even go further & ask how the buyer that's causing the confusion will react if Mc tells her that though she has paid for the item, his wife doesn't want him to sell again.
Yet despite knowing all this, Mc tried to threaten emmafe into a forceful & hostile refund (when item hasn't proven to be defective). If someone wants to refund you based on understanding & respect for past history, then fine. However, you cannot bully & emotionally blackmail them into it cos you feel the medium through which God has blessed you also puts food on thier table. That's not fair!!
Why would you transfer aggression & energy you should have dissipated on the customer who played games with you, on the boy you described as "son" & "younger brother" who was nothing but honest with you?
Mc, in the begining of your complaint, you said and I quote: "I got one from this my brother which he said the deal belongs to someone elses well not my business as long as item is in good condition as I know lots of us hustle that way"
If it's not your business where item is sourced from, then why should it be emmafes business who you bought item for? Afterall, he sold to you, not the unknown customer. He doesn't know the customer, doesn't have any transaction or binding agreement with the customer. All he knows is you bought an item from him & item is in good working condition like you wanted it to.
Also, in your post, there was also the part where you sighed "women don come again!!" when she called. Is that not you admitting that it can be difficult atimes doing business with some women buyers (due to several reasons)?
Is that not an admission to the fact that it was the sole reason for your failed transaction? So,why then, were you being hostile to emmafe?
I honestly don't know what you were expecting when you brought this case here, but I'll just assume it was borne out of the curiosity to understand the situation & the need for a non-bias resolution --- which I'm glad has been served so far by majority.
We all learn everyday. And I'm glad you have.
You can even add it as a case-study next time when advising jumia & konga staffs on how to run a business.
It is well. Apt submission. Thank you very much, boss. |

McMayor: This is a matter I wont address but because of my respect for women. Please always ask questions before you jump into conclusions.
Here is a picture of me asking Emma to give me sellers number which he wont.
Here is a picture of me even giving him brain to at least approach me properly to give him time.
Also we have been on this matter since Sunday and brought it here today... not like I dont think just so you know. So yes you can be disappointed, but because you knew I bought it and never made attempts to reach out to me. You were judging me from a far.
And to the parasites saying issues no day... I can joke with my 160k no wahala... we will wait for the rain when day fall way never dry... only lord knows how many people he go kill. Oga McMayor, on this matter, you are wrong. To cap it, you seem to have an attitude problem (probably because this isn't going your way), as you don abuse everybody on this thread finish. Na we no get shop and na we be parasites (whose blood are we feeding on?). You're sounding condescending towards Emmafe, and everyone who has attempted to help solve this issue. Why did you bring it here, if you didn't want saner heads to prevail? @Khalazi and @wildchild1 already analyzed the matter, and judged the matter well. Yeah, you are older than Emmafe. You have mentored him, bla bla bla, but we don't need those details here. In my opinion, it's just a show-off and outright condescending. To the facts of the matter, Emma was detailed with you. Sent you pictures, and you sent them to your customer. She decided to back out of the deal, the day before she was supposed to pick up from you. It's not the middleman's and seller's fault- they sold to you exactly what you ordered. Seller told middleman that she already used the money and he should wait. Instead of reasoning with him, you decided to call him out and threatened him with police... just because you're older than him, and you have the cops at your beck and call. You brag that he's like your 'son' or 'younger brother', but you think threatening him with the police is the best? Did he steal your money? Did he not give you details of the phone? Did he deliver something else to you other than what was ordered? You seem to like playing this age card a lot. Tell us, are you selling the phones laptops, and games you sell, to your age mates? You're in a business of young, middle age people and your target market is the youth population, yet, you always pull the age card, everytime something doesn't go your way. You claim Emma is your boy, and, later you claim that you already refunded the customer 40mins after she changed her mind. So, why did you still drag your boy on Nairaland and still threatened to take him to police station, over a matter you can just exercise some patience on, yet you cut the client loose without any consequences for her actions? Why are you transferring aggression you should have used on your customer, to Emmafe, who did no wrong? This is the part where I deduced your needless drama and condescending tone. @Emmafe and @Adinije, please, Sir and Ma'am, refund Oga McMayor's money, as soon as possible, to end this needless drama. |

IMOHS: I want to write a review of my car buying experience with Amdman. I started following this thread since May last year, and when i was ready early this year i decided to take the risk by contacting Amdman.I told him my choice of car and he found one for me. After test driving, he assured me it was a good buy.I made part payment, and the car got to the shipper 7th February. The car left Canada 14th of March, got to Nigeria 15th April. Between this time, i had already completed my payment, and anxiety was building due to the ravaging pandemic causing delays, anyways i was also tracking the vessel, but the point is ,i was thinking Amdman might ask that i add more cash due to the fluctuating exchange rate, but he did not. finally after about two to three weeks the car came was cleared. My observations: His cars are affordable. The car i bought is as clean as he said. the engine is in top condition. Only issue i noticed when bringing the car back was the AC wasn't blowing very well, but i just changed the resistor and its fine, the dashboard lights too weren't working,i had to replace the bulbs, also one of the fog lights was broken ,which has been replaced. I actually wanted to wait till i have done a thorough wash of the interior and love-vendor it before writing this review, but i just decided to go ahead. So my assessment of Amdman: He is a sincere man ,a man of integrity, he is truly rare. He is straight forward in his dealings,if we had more of him in Nigeria,i think things might be a bit better. On communication ,i would say i had a bit of a challenge there, because i noticed most times when i drop chats ,it doesn't indicate that he has read them, so what i did was ,anytime i noticed him online,i call him on video or audio, and my messages drop immediately, and he responds to any inquiry i make,no matter how silly it might be. so on my personal scale of 100%, i would score Amdman 90% Thank you Amdman for getting me my first car,I am satisfied and happy. God bless you. i forgot to add, the car came with 4 extra tires on alloy wheels, complete accessories in the boot, car manual, spare key. Never had any issues with the customs on the way too, only normal sorting. Congratulations, bro, on your first car and the new house. I love this your review. By Jehovah's grace, my testimony will be soon, and similar to yours. Amen. |

Lush100: Sir, Firstly, I attacked no one, Please let be clear on that. Secondly, no one is forced to buy anything, only military personnel do that in their institution. Thirdly, the issue raised is not whether someone backs out or not , but if getting value for what they paid for. Fourthly, when it comes to purchases , people buy to get value for what they purchase, no one dictates prices, it's market forces and negotiation comes into play if prices are not fixed. Fifthly, it just an advert, if someone says that particular car is not good, why so hot about it, just provide a better car (offer) from the lot you have. Sixthly, I only commended that man's point of view. You taking it the wrong way is up to you. Lastly, that people criticize someone does not mean they hate them, I am looking at a time when people will know that they rely on amdman cars knowing they will get value for what the paid for after waiting long for their car To prevent negative complain after the car has been purchased, is worth trying to mitigate. The earlier the better. Regards sir. You will always reveal yourselves as the closet haters that you are. So, you mean, all the buyers that have bought a car from amdman haven't been getting a fair bargain and good, functional cars? And, that day you're looking forward to, what will happen on that day? You'll order a car? Or, buy amdman a beer? Who you? How do you form? What makes you think your opinion or whatever you're looking forward to matters to anyone? Get off your high horse and delusions of grandeur. You are not great. |

Ogbadibo80: The picture speaks for itself if looked at properly. The advert also carries a price tag. It is an advert. If the advert says 60k miles Camry with only mirror damage people will jump at it. If the advert says mirror and suspension damage less people will jump at it. At the end of the day any way it goes it will be welcomed to Nigeria in a few months You get it. |
Autos › Re: N1,200,000 or Less Tokunbo Cars by seyithug(m): 9:04pm On Jun 13, 2020 |
Ogbadibo80: I am looking at the pictures and all the arguments back and forth this advert has caused. The Google guy was right to point out what you did not include. You created the thread you sell the cars, you are held to a higher level of responsibility to be able to identify basic defects as the man on ground who will receive the funds and send the vehicles. The fixes might be cheap or parts supplied by you as you have done in the past, but do not give room for speculation and doubt. The OP does his best to disclose every issue with the car with the buyer, whenever he goes to inspect the car. That he posted pictures doesn't mean that he has gone to inspect the car. Also, it's an ad, he's not going to list everything that is wrong with the car, in one post. And, nobody should pass hasty and malicious judgements on just the pictures posted, like Google Kazeem did. What if the seller intends to fix the shocks and tires, before OP comes for this particular car? Only the OP knows the full story, and he, probably, has chosen to save it for whoever shows interest in the car. |

hotdealz: He paid me 48k for the 4 batteries. Not 60k.
The batteries are not refurbished. They are actually genuine Dell batteries.
The battery spoiling wasn't even an option in my head so that was not why I asked my supplier for return warranty.
I asked for warranty because someone needed it in Jos but I didn't know if it would work on his model. So he asked me if he could return it incase it didn't work for him.
If at all I was to say to Jeffrey anything about warranty, it would be "what if e no work on their model of laptop?" But when he wanted to buy the first battery, he came with his laptop and I believed I told him to because I always do when people call me. Since then, I saw him as someone that knows what he is doing because he told me he sells laptops too and he has been buying the batteries from me without complain of compatibility.
Note that some people came with their laptops and the battery was not compatible after we tried it, I returned it back that same day or max the next day without any issue.
When you go to the market to buy things hardly any seller would say anything to you about warranty unless you ask. Jeff never asked me anything about warranty.
If Jeff successfully sold the batteries for 20k each, it's his luck but I know what he paid me for the 4 batteries is 48k and I can only pay back half of the worth of the battery. That's true, I read from Jefferyz's account that he bought each battery from you for 12k each. He bought 6 for 72k. So, returning 4 now, means that the full refund is 48k, not 60k.However, Jefferyz wants the refund split between you, him, and the Alaba importer. He also wants you to cover for the Alaba importer's part, as you never told him about the supplier and he has no business with him, anyway. So, 48k divided by 3 is 16k. So, Jefferyz expects you to cover 2 parts of 16k, which is 32k, while he bears the 16k balance. Boss, please, pay this, to end the back and forth, on the matter. |
Technology Market › Re: Dispute Resolution Thread [For Pickup/Deal Hunting & Other Issues Alike] by seyithug(m): 11:40pm On Jun 09, 2020 |
Jefferyzz: So here is where we stopped our chat. Out of the 60k for the 4 battery hotdealz said he can't go more than 20k and that I should cover 40k. And I can't on any ground cover such an amount. If he wants to be paying 500naira everyday, it fine by me. I will take out of my business money with the hope that a reasonable part will be replaced soon. But him paying 20k is not in anyway acceptable. I already told him I can only cover 20 and he pays 40..
No agreement has been made Boss @hotdealz, please, work with this offer from your buyer. I have been following the issue from the first post by the OP. All through, your initial stance was that you can't do a refund, and all the bosses here, roundly, rebuked you for that. After all the dragging, back and forth, it's good to see that you have agreed to refund the money for 4 batteries. The good thing is, your buyer agreed that you pay 40k, out of 60k,for the return and refund for 4 batteries, which is a fair deal, IMHO. Ordinarily, most buyers here, including myself, will demand FULL REFUND of 60k, because I bought BRAND NEW batteries from you, not tokinbo. Please, @hotdealz, pay the OP his 40k. He has made it convenient for you, N500 daily deposit (multiplied by 6 days, that's 3k weekly). Just see it like you're paying daily or weekly thrift contribution. You'll be done in less than 2 months, hopefully, without feeling it. Abeg, no need to drag the matter anymore, boss. Also, you should review and rethink your decision to quit a source of income. Post-coronavirus is not going to be funny. You need all the income you can get. Just make sure you sell battery + charger packages, to avoid stories, or tell those who decide to buy only battery that there's no warranty and no returns, after they test and confirm it's working -just like the Alaba importer told you. He probably bought refurbished batteries, by the way. |
