I only get inspired to share my sales report, when any of my sales has some story around it. So I will share this one

Bought on Namepros on November 19, 2019 for $16. Seller said he once submitted it as unregistered name at SH but it was rejected. (I wonder the reason he decided to go ahead and register it anyway )

Submitted to SH same day and it was approved for Premium Listing for $2399 (I think I raised it to above 3k like I always do all my approved PLs)

FFWD to 2020 when SH partnered with Afternic for it's Expanded Promotion. I submitted it (and all my premium listings) on February 2nd for Afternic approval with 2 coins ($2) and listed on Afternic same day. I jacked up the price to $4.5k on SH and set it at $5k at Afternic.

February 19, an email from an Afternic/Godaddy Sales Exec. landed informing that he had an offer he had worked on for my name and buyer offered $3k. I decided to see if I could get the buyer to go higher. The sales guy told me buyer started from $2k, and with his pushing, got to $2.5k, then $3k, and that THEY would look for another domain.

I decided to apply the silent treatment. This lasted for about 15 hours. I can prove stubborn sometimes, but my guts whispered to me that this is DEFINITELY NOT, and SHOULD NOT be one of such times.

I sent him a 4-word reply - (How do we proceed?)

Cutting the long story short, I adjusted the BIN on Afternic to $3k (also on SH cos price on SH MUST always be less or equal to the price on Afternic). Buyer paid same day February 20. I pushed name to Afternic's Epik escrow account immediately. Took them 3/4 days to verify the funds and send to me. $2,374 (less 20% $600 Afternic commission and $26 bank charge) hit my dorm account on Feb. 25.

I informed SH about the sale. Now based on SH agreement, since the name was originally approved for 30% SH comm., I will need to pay SH their own share of 10% ($300). So at the end of the day, my take home is $2,070

I entered GTB today and withdrew the whole cash over the counter.

This is my first Afternic transaction, and it appears they won't release fund to seller, until buyer accepts domain push/transfer. I found this strange 'cos escrow as I understand it means once the escrow agent has both product and payment, there shouldn't be any delay in disbursement.

On NP, I have seen cases where buyer didn't accept push/transfer for weeks and Afternic held on to seller's fund.

Well, seems my buyer acted fast enough. All's well that ends well.

Speaking during a press conference in Lagos, the Head of National Office (HNO), Mr Charles Eguridu said that a total of 1,605,248 candidates registered for the May/June examination while 1,593,442 sat for the exam.
He said that 864,096 of the candidates were males while 729,346 candidates were females.
In a breakdown of the results, a total of 1,498,069 candidates representing 94.01% have their results fully released while 95,373 candidates representing 5.99% have a few of their subjects still being processed due to some errors traceable to candidates and schools.
758,849 candidates representing 47.62% obtained six credits and above while 949,862 candidates representing 59.61% obtained five credits and above.press Eguridu
A total of 1,114,988 candidates representing 69.97% obtained credits and above in four subjects and about 1,295,915 candidates representing 78.81% obtained credits and above in three subjects.
The results of 118,101 candidates, representing 7.41% are being withheld in connection with various cases of examination malpractice.
Eguridu said the cases are being investigated and reports of the investigations will be presented to the Nigerian Examinations Committee (NEC).
The HNO added that there was an increase in the performance of candidates when compared with the results of 2013 and 2014 examinations as 616,370 candidates, representing 38.68% obtained credits in five subjects and above including English Language and Mathematics.
Speaking on the performance of blind candidates, Mr. Eguridu said that out of 109 blind candidates that registered and sat for the examination, 20 of them, representing 18.34% obtained credit in 5 subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
He further stated that candidates will be able to check their results on the Council’s website within the next 24 hours.

On the states that are owing the council, the WAEC boss said that a few of the debtor states responded by paying their debts fully or partially while a few others made promises, indicating their willingness to pay as soon as they are able to do so.
He stated that the results of debtor-States’ candidates would be released if such States endeavour to produce bank guarantees (APGs), so that the Council will be assured that the fees will be paid.
This decision, he said, is in appreciation of the general prevailing economic challenges in the country and in order not to jeopardize the educational careers of the candidates of the indebted states.

Fed Poly Bida Post Utme 2015 – Cut Off Mark, Exam Date
Fed poly bida post utme 2015 details announced. This is to inform all candidates who chose the Federal Polytechnic, Bida as their first, second, third and fourth choice and scored the mandatory cut-off point of 150 marks and above in the 2015 UTME, that the Post-UTME screening form is now available.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Applicants are required to pay a sum of N1,950.00 including administrative charges for the screening.
To make payment, candidates are advised to obtain the e-transact pin CODE from any branch of the following banks: FIRST BANK, UBA, ECOBANK, MAINSTREET BANK, UNITY BANK, ZENITH BANK, FIDELITY BANK, GTB, STERLING BANK, ENTERPRISE BANK, UNION BANK and thereafter load the pin number for the online Registration process by clicking “Post-UTME Screening” on the Home page of Federal Polytechnic, Bida campus portal website www.fedpolybida.edu.ng

If you received a text message notifying you of your admission, on the school website (www.nsuk.edu.ng), go to ‘Prospective Students’ and click on ‘Returning Applicants Login’, select Institute of Education, Enter the email address and password you used to apply for admission and login to your profile.

Click the “Accept Admission” button to accept the Admission (at this point you will download a detailed registration procedure) and also a payment invoice for 3,000 (Three Thousand Naira) Acceptance Fee.

Proceed to any branch of the designated banks, please note that at the bank you must make your payment through eTranzact pin vending only. In addition to your acceptance fee, you must also pay online transaction charge of N300 only.

If you succeed at this point, proceed to the Head of Unit, then the Director, Institute of Education for final endorsement.

a. Make sure you are properly screened at the Academic Office before

proceeding to the Department, and Faculty for Final Clearance, and Paying of School Fees which is effective after 24hrs of final clearance.

If you need to change course, this must be done with the first 2 weeks of resumption and payment must not be made until final endorsement. Any change of course after school fees payment will attract another complete school fees without the option of a refund.
Paying of Fees

Go to the school website, click on Prospective Students, select New Student Pay Fees, enter your Applicant ID in the space provided and click “Get Fee Detail” to generate your Fee Payment Invoice. Additional Charges of 2,000 (Portal Access Fee) and 300(Transaction Charge) will be required at the bank.
Go to any of the following banks listed above to pay your fees

Note: If you are changing course, proceed to IT centre to get the appropriate invoice for payment through etranzact platform. Do not pay school fees until you have completed the change of course process. The University will not refund any case of wrong payment of fees, also, payments made cannot be reversed.

Come back to school website, repeat step (i)above, but instead of downloading Payment Invoice, click on “Select Payment Option” select Live URL ETRANZACT PIN option, enter the Confirmation Number on the slip you got from the bank and click “Select and Pay Fee“.

On successful verification, download and print out your receipt which also comes with your portal login PIN. JAMB candidates with “no result yet” can now check their result without any further issue.
This is exactly what I told most of this blogreaders who wrote JAMB CBT this year, I told them after the completion of the exam that the issue of no result yet will be addressed accordingly.
It is no longer news that the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB) has Released the 2015 JAMB UTME Results, but some candidates were unable to check their results due to certain issues. eg “NO RESULT YET” etc.

Re-printing Of JAMB 2015 UTME Slip on the 2nd of March 2015, you can
