Hello gurus in the house , i am back again .. please i need help from anyone that has ever transferred from one school to another ... i really need help ... I intend transferring to another school to start afresh in another major....Is it possible to apply as an international student or basically just apply as a transfer student ??... I need to act fast because we just concluded our spring break .. someone should come to my aid please

i am a christian but thinking too deeply on this makes my faith wanna shake ... but it wont .....IF GOD SAYS YES .. NO MAN CAN SAY NO

if you are already in the U.S.. Then the best person to respond to these question is the school. They would best guide you on the school policy

oh lol .. my bad ..about the missing passport .. it was later recovered by the police after around three days after they made some search...but before it was recovered, i went to immigration office to apply for an emergency passport which came out within 2 hours( i know you will be wondering how that was possible, MONEY is the answer oo) After i got the new passport, then i recieved a call from the police that they found my bag with the boiz i suspected(long story sha...) i was even surprised cos i never had trust in the police (they sha collected money released my bad and my passport to me)..I was now having two passports, old one containing my visa and the Fresh new one...So i did a lot research about having two passports..(one valid and one invalid)..I read that its possible to travel with two passports, but one must be invalid in most cases EXPIRED but still has valid visa on, then the other one must be Valid to hold arrival and departure stamps. But in my own case , my passport was not expired, it was stolen. So i went to the immigration office and asked for orientation. The immigration officer i met said i shouldnt bother myself that its still the same process that i will still need to travel with the two passport but they will need to put a '' CANCEL WITHOUT PREJUDICE'' on the vacant pages of my old passport to show that its been cancelled but still contains my Valid Visa and said , if i am questioned at the POE why i am having an unexpired but cancelled passport, i should explain to them the it was stolen but found other wise known as ''Lost but Found'..and also to travel with police report document and affidavit i used to get a new passport to prove that it was lost but found. He further explained to me that a passport is country A's property while a VISA is country B's property. Country A doesnt have the right to cancel another country's Visa on its passport while country B doesn't have the right to cancel country A's passport vice versa. But my mind wasnt still at rest dou (lol).. so when i got home , i mailed the embassey and explain the whole issue in my mail and i got a short reply from them saying...*AS FAR AS YOUR VISA IS STILL VALID ON YOUR OLD PASSPORT AND YOU HAVE A NEW PASSPORT THAT COVERS ATLEAST 6 MONTHS STAY IN THE USA, YOU MAY TRAVEL WITH BOTH PASSPORT*........ so, meaning the immigration officer was right...Na so i carry my bag oo. I didnt even encounter any question about it at the POE ..INFORMATION IS POWER

Hello , i want to ask experts on a transfer issue... I have started a masters program in the states but i want to transfer to a college. I feel i need to change my major so i need to start my undergrad degree again and i dont mind doing that because i know its the best for me to do. I have an intention of applying for an associate degree in my desire course at another college.
Here are my questions..
1) I dont want my first semester credit to count for me as a transfer student in the new school i intend transferring to... is it possible for my present school not to transfer my first semester credit but just only my SEVIS record to my new school?

2) Will i be required to pay my first semester tuition in my present school before i transfer... even though i dont need their credit ??

Twoods is right , he MUST attend another interview as far as American visa is concerned. For other countries interview might not be necessary. I didn't read the link but is something I know, it has happened to someone very close to me. Unless they have changed their policy last week.

my visa type is F1 not B1/B2.... and what was the outcome of that your friend

Yea, like the normal interview, just prepare again. Sorry for what happened.
Secondly you can ask the VOs directly on their thread to be double sure, so as to start preparing fast .
Remember you need a police report for the passport, keep the police report safe for maybe interview and POE.

I don't know the procedure to replacing a lost passport, but my sister legit collected her passport same day in Abeokuta.

Do you expect the embassy to just email you a visa without talking to you to know exactly what happened? They will need your biometric details again so as to pull up your details

Yes you will be called in by the embassy so as to verify your case. When you are issued another visa the stolen one will be cancelled.

The visa or passport is useless to whoever that took it because your biometric is there.

You don't have a choice. You must go through another interview to obtain a new visa. The visa in your stolen passport is considered cancelled.

Unfortunately yes. Police report and a new passport are a must. ASAP. I think you should be able to request an emergency interview. Also consider contacting your school and requesting for a delayed start date. It would be hard to make the 5th. You should be able to push back your flight, maybe they'll ask you to pay a small fee.

O dear! this is bad luck of the worst kind. I think you need to apply for another visa asap. But first you need to report the theft to the police, obtain a police report (i think the US consulate will request for this as evidence that your passport was stolen), then you need to apply for a new passport and then apply for a new visa. Hopefully you still have your I-20?

You're about to put inconsistency into your application. Job type don't necessarily determine the success of an F1 application. It can only help in some cases. I've seen someone that teaches in a private sec school getting the visa. Be able to prove you're a genuine student and have a good sponsor and see how it goes from there.
