First of all, you need to know this. Community colleges offer only 2-year programs (leading to associate bachelors degree), whereas universities offer 4-year programs (leading to regular bachelors degrees), and you cannot go directly from a CC into a master's program. You would first have to transfer to a university to finish up third year and fourth year to obtain a bachelor's degree before you can proceed on to masters.

Second, it has been said here severally that it is not recommended that you take a CC admission to the embassy, due to higher chances of denial by the VO. Yet, people keep asking this same question again and again. CCs are good, and offer the same level/quality of education as universities, and save you a ton of money in school fees, and are recommended for people tight on funds. What you do is apply to both a university and the CC of your choice, get admission and I-20 from both, take the university admission to the embassy for your visa interview but transfer (SEVIS transfer) to the CC after you arrive the US and start school there.

Third, your age is no more in the range the visa officers like to give visas for UG students and I would have suggested that you go for masters admission instead and do your masters right away upon arrival. Now, as for getting admission from a university and cc, I do not know if transferring from a university with a masters admission to a CC for associate bachelors would work given that one of the requirements for SEVIS transfer after you enter the US is that the transfer has to be for the same level of study. I am sure the transfer would work if the admission from the university is for bachelors and you are transferring to the cc for associate bachelors degree (same level of study). But then your age puts you at a disadvantage (not impossible, I have one time seen a 28-year old guy going for bachelors get his visa) of getting your visa for undergraduate studies.

Your situation is quite a tough one. My recommendation would be to go for masters admission straight.

I actually wanna apply to a school in the USA and i came accross EDMONDS Community College(ECC) for the spring session 2018.. I am 25 years , already had my B.TECH from a Nigerian university in urban and regional planning, graduated with a GPA of (2.89/5) and i am planning to take a Degree Program in Construction Management so that i can get a transfer into a university for a masters program after completing the 2 years degree program......ECC doesnt require TOEFL and GRE for international students who had their undergraduate in English...Now my question is, Wont my age and my past educational record be a sort of a slight barrier when applying for a student visa at the embassy ( in terms of the probability of getting a visa) ? because i was just wondering i might ask by the consular why i have decided not to take a Toefl or GRE exam and apply for a direct masters.(just wondering)
Then secondly, i have applied for a visiting visa this year where i was planning to visit my cousin but i was denied? i hope that wont be a barrier for me either ?( in short , hope the attempted visiting visa record does not affect my educational visa application?)

This is serious that's why most graduates flee from marketing but it's actually the best way to climb the corporate ladder especially in banks.

During lay offs, banks hardly sack their marketers but usually the contract staff and back end officers.

I mean Corporate marketing oh not all these streets marketers that beg you to open form. Those ones are direct sales agents and are the least in the organization.

Helo house, I started working with a popular real estate firm around May of this year but trust me, it hasn't been easy working with them.. All they seek for is to bring money and nothing else and they really don't care about the strategy you used in bringing the money. They really don't even care about the unproductive efforts you make. At every weekly meeting, the board will scrutinize you and make you feel as if you are dumb. The most painful part is, there is no basic salary for the job, you get 6% of any income you make. Honestly I feel so frustrated... How I wish I can just get out of this country.. But I want to quit

Hello everyone.. I Have been a silent reader of this great forum... I had my interview on june 13 but was denied and I am planning to reapply again this August due to some circumstances... Here my transcript goes thus:

Me:good morning (passed my passport)

Me:I am going to Chicago by June 30 to visit my cousin ( mentioned his name) who is a public accountant just for 2 weeks only. He came to visit me last year and I promised to return back his visit

Me:I am a marketer of building materials.. Majorly cement., I have 3 sales men 2 driver, 2trucks and my office is located at bla bla bla
Vo:what brand of cement
Me:Dangote cement
Vo: Are you married?
Me: No I am single but engaged and I will be getting married by September(vo:oh congrats) and also I have a child out of wedlock.
VO:Have you traveled before
Me:Yes, I have be to pritioria, South Africa.. That was December last year and I went for vacation and also used the opportunity to see an old Time friend
VO:How much is your take home pay
Me:I pay my self an average of 358,000 per month

Then the next thing I heard was sorry, your visa cannot be approved now.. I smiled and I said thank you.

Now I wanna reapply cos I already promised my fiancee that I am gonna do a little shopping for our wedding(likes of my suit and her wedding gown) but after I was denied, I gave up but she's pestering me to reapply so I can do the shopping majorly all together and see my cousin too...

In the first place I didn't see the reason why I was denied and also.. Now that I wanna re apply, what are my chances of getting approved.. (I know no one can predict the chances but I just wanna hear from the house)... Thanks

I had a similar experience. It is normal to have still have pregnancy-like symptoms after an abortion. Since it is not up to a week, a pregnancy test might not be the best option because she will likely still have the HCG hormone in her and might still show positive even though she's not pregnant. This should stop in about two weeks at most. It is normal for her to have stopped bleeding. That differs from woman to woman. So do not worry about that

Your best option is to tell her to have an ultrasound. That would give you a 100% guarantee that the abortionist got everything out and hence, zero chances of a septic infection. If the high temperature and other symptoms exceed two weeks, then I'd advise she see a doctor.

I am, however, quite sure everything is fine since it was only a month old and the bleeding has stopped.

Try to show her support for now at least. And please and careful next time. If you still love her, forget the past and forgive her. That she did that doesn't mean she's a bad person. Maybe she was scared and didn't want to disappoint family and friends.

But she has just been noticing some changes in her body such as high temperature , not feeling too good in her body , sleepy , tired , yellow urine, fever ..another thing is she stopped seeing blood the second day, she saw a brown discharge the third day and the fifth day But I just get scared anytime she calls to tell me all these.The latest development is she was told to receive anti malaria injection cos of the yellow urine and I just hope this won't complicate the matter , though she took the injection already . I am 24 and she's 23..I had to create another profile .. Please I need to know what she can do and your advice pls .. God should forgive me

Make I just pity you small. You may have to run another pregnancy test to be sure it was surely aborted. After that you can run other test to find out what is wrong with her.
