The answer really is 16. In applying the order or precedence, we carry out the operations from left to right:

First sweep, L-R: 8/2(4)
Second sweep, L-R: 4(4)
Final step: 16

Since division and multiplication are of the same kind, we do the one that comes first as we sweep from left to right.

I saw this question on Twitter, it was quite controversial so I have decided to bring it here

Order of Operations
1. Perform all calculations within parentheses and other grouping symbols
following the order listed in Steps 2–4 below, working from the innermost
pair of grouping symbols to the outermost pair.
2. Evaluate all exponential expressions.
3. Perform all multiplications and divisions as they occur from left to right.
4. Perform all additions and subtractions as they occur from left to right.

O1 : (2 + 2) = 4.
O3 : 8 / 2 (4) => 8 / 2 * 4 => 4 * 4 => 16.

At O3: I know some people will get 1, it is wrong wink

8 / 2 (4) => 8 / 8 => 1 -------------- wrong.
Evaluation is from left to right.
The only scenario you will get 1 is if it is structured this way => 8 / ( 2 * (4) ).

In my opinion, 16 is the right answer, not 1, I would like to see other mathematicians' opinions on this.

Guess what: There is literally no law on false rape accusation, If one manages to be proven not guilty the woman will literally get away with it, but if not 25 years in prison.

The worst one can do is file a case of character defamation, which at worst the accused will pay a fine.

There should be equal punishment for both rape and false rape accusations .

Honestly, Men should start wising up when it comes to false rape accusations.
I have a female friend that works with the judiciary, we were chatting about some rape cases in her court today.
So there is this woman who wanted to get back at her ex-husband, so she issued an alliegation that she was raped by the man when he visited her house.
note: She invited him, seduced him and called the cops on him.
Man was arrested, no evidence of violence just sex.
Infact since the day the man was arrested, the woman is nowhere to be found.
But still man has been detained since 2019, apparantly the judge of the court a woman, wouldn't grant bail.
According to her, the woman could still come back and she doesn't want the man to run.
Our rape laws are one-sided and women are fuckkiing exploiting it, my friend was telling me that the easiest way a woman can ruin me is too just make a rape accusation against me.
she said a key thing which is that "every girl you have sex with always ensure you always have proof of consent".
