Hello. So I'm thinking about buying the Redmi 5 plus, but I'm worried about the size and weight. I'm female, with not-so-large hands and I'm currently using the Redmi Note 4x which has a perfect grip on my hands at 5.5 inches. But the Redmi 5 plus is 5.99 inches so I'm kind of worried about both the size and weight. How is it for you?

Well I had same fear initially. But after spending some time reading and watching YouTube videos my orientation changed.
I realized that the new 18:9 aspect ratio and bezeless display allows for more screen to be placed on a phone without increasing it's size or bulkiness in anyway. Example of this is the Samsung S8+ which is 6.2 inch but look smaller than most 5.5 inch phone. Same goes with iPhone X 5.7 inch, but is obviously smaller than iPhone 8+ 5.5inch . My friend uses Gionee A1 lite 5.3inch screen but the old 16:9 aspect ratio, he was expecting my 5 plus to be twice his, but much to his chagrin they are almost same size. So you see bigger screen does not translate to bigger phone thanks to the new aspects ratio.

I'm sure the 5 plus would be similar to note 4 in size but if in doubt check both dimensions on gsmarena.

Modified : I checked gsmarena the 5 plus is even smaller than the note 4x

Redmi 5 plus: 158.5 x 75.5 x 8.1 mm (6.24 x 2.97 x 0.32 in)

Redmi note 4x : 151 x 76 x 8.5 mm (5.94 x 2.99 x 0.33 in)

Although the 5 plus is about 15g heavier than the note 4x.

lol..You just read my thoughts. My guy is planning on selling his J7 after seeing mine.

The only downside I have noticed so far is that the camera performs very poorly on low light. But for this price I don't think that's a big deal.

P.s: I have watched virtually all the unboxing on YouTube, but no camera could capture the full beauty of the phone .

I still can't believe it's not a flagship,cuz I'm having same feeling I had when I held my friend's Samsung s8. Nice job Xiaomi. I obviously wasn't disappointed. Time to intimidate my tecno and infinix colleagues.

I wouldn't advice you to buy and repair. I would rather someone in need of screen and battery get it instead.

I don't have any problem with the wife, as a matter of fact I respect her so much. I wish Princemillla could half as nice.

A simple search on his moniker @Princemillla would reveal to you how much time is needed for someone into so much transactions to refund 10k. Bear in mind that I have been patient for 50days plus.

In your story line, I was meant to understand that the wife is helping the matter by claiming you down and even going as far as paying you a part pay from her own account. Hence, exposing the wife's contact publicly here is unjustified.

Sharing her contact as a screen shot was intentional. That would avoid any Google search from associating her with her husband scam. And as regards being justified, what he did to me was that justified? It's funny you allowed that to elude you. I'm just here trying my best to play by the rules. I have enough info about him to make him as popular as he wants.
