Rubbish from a bitter soul.
TruthHurts1:
Nigeria truly happened to Anthony Joshua.

At the age of 18 in the year 2000, Kaka the Brazilian midfielder suffered a spinal fracture in a swimming pool accident that nearly paralyzed him. He made a full recovery, went on to win the 2002 World Cup, and later received the Ballon d'Or in 2007.

There are literally many examples from Formula 1 of drivers surviving high speed, high impact collisions and they still go on to have thriving careers and live normal lives.

In more advanced countries, athletes survive car crashes.

In Nigeria accidents end your career.
PoliticsRe: Ogun 2027: Will Lightning Strike A Third Time? by shallar1(m): 1:54pm On Dec 22, 2025
Based on his antecedents, Adeola’s biggest strength is his proven capacity to transcend regional politics. His track record as a seasoned legislator and a qualified financial expert appeals directly to the elite in Ogun East and the progressive elements in Ogun Central. He is not just the Ogun West candidate; he is the candidate of competence and political gravity, which is why his support base is truly cross-cutting. In Ogun West constituency, people don’t just see Yayi as a politician; they see him as an empowerment agent. Whether it’s the market women, the youth benefiting from his scholarships, or the artisans who received start-up tools-his impact is felt. That is the grassroots support that no amount of political maneuvering can buy or stop. He is leading the people’s movement.

It is evidently clear that the opposing forces representing the status quo—the powerful elements that have benefited from the 49-year marginalization, aren’t relenting. But Adeola is not alone in this struggle. The unity and passion of his home base is the engine driving the entire campaign to break the 49-year jinx. His candidacy has effectively served as the focal point for all elements-traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups, political factions within Ogun West who believe in the principles of power rotation and zoning. His is seen as the consensus aspiration of the entire district. Unlike past politicians who merely paid lip service to the region, Yayi has demonstrably invested in his constituency since transitioning from Lagos politics. His track record as the sitting Senator for Ogun West since 2023 includes massive empowerment programmes. At different times, he has facilitated large-scale empowerment schemes, such as the Oloja Yayi empowerment scheme for over 5,500 traders, providing grants and agricultural empowerment for thousands of farmers in areas like Ilaro. His infrastructural projects include commissioning of schools, healthcare centers, and rural roads, proving that he can attract federal projects and development funds to the previously marginalized zone.

In Ogun West, there are no political factions when it comes to Yayi’s governorship. His aspiration is the unifying force that has brought every community, every chief, and every youth group under one banner. He symbolizes the only vehicle people can trust to break the 49-year jinx. They view every vote for Yayi as a vote for the liberation and collective dignity of the Yewa/Awori people.

Beyond Ogun West, Yayi’s victory is predicated on his ability to convince the political elite in Ogun Central and Ogun East that equity for Ogun West is not a zero-sum game. His team is actively building bridges by campaigning on competence, not just correction. The message is clear: ‘We seek justice for the West, but we guarantee prosperity for all of Ogun State.’ That strategic outreach is the key to ensuring an easy sail to the Government House. It is worth noting that Adeola has established long-standing friendship and professional relationship with key political and business figures from the Egba axis, demonstrating that he is a familiar and trusted face. The most critical bridge is through the royal fathers. He has cultivated the public blessing and non-partisan support of major traditional rulers across the three zones. Evidence of his private and public consultations with Obas in all the three districts abounds, showing respect for traditional authority and seeking their counsel and blessing. His goodwill cuts across party lines due to his tenure as a high-ranking legislator. He can leverage his strong personal ties with key leaders and elders from the Egba zone in both the ruling party and the opposition to secure tacit, non-public endorsements, or at least a pledge of non-interference based on personal loyalty and mutual respect built over decades.

You will be shocked that na dis same Egbas and Ijebus will vote massively for him![/quote]

Then you are not aware and decided not to be aware, he constructed the Asade Agunloye Pavilion in Ilaro as Lagos Senator, Bola Market road and his GRA house road was constructed when he was representing Lagos, before becoming Ogun West Reddest
helinues:
So if he indeed had Ogun people at heart, how come they have not been seeing his hand when he was representing Lagos state?

If he indeed care about his own people from Ogun West, why is the Sango Ota road still in dilapidated. Even though his duty is not to build the road but to oversight. The road contract have been awarded severally, what has he Yayi been oversighting? Why has he refused to speak up on what he observed from his oversighting except if he had a share

Which of the Yewas were divided, Stop reading old scripts and try to sample your thought before coming here to spew what you know nothing about. 2027, 95% Yewas were behing the Aremo of Yewaland and Okanlomo of Awori in person on his distinguished Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi. He stands tall among equal. Yayi is the in-thing as far as Ogun 2027 is concerned.
Bostin:
It will be so hard for Yayi to become the next Governor in Ogun State because he will hardly have egba's and ijebu's votes . Yewa are divided as usual, so his chances are slim .

Where are you from? Seems you're far away in Ogun politics 2027. Yayi is the candidate to beat and the opinion poll favours him ahead of others. Come to 2027, Yayi is the next Governor by His Grace.
helinues:
If Yayi is the candidate the Ogun West people will be presenting in 2027, they should forget about it

Ogun West are minority in Ogun state politics. Infact, it's Ogun central people that command the politics of the area. Find better candidate apart from Yayi or loose out

Talking to her about it won't change much....that's her go-to person....but that doesn't mean u shouldnt tell her how u feel anyway...

The real issue is...U are just her husband to be and nothing more, thats not a bad thing as long as there is peace and love....a lot of relationships works like that where the wife or husband's bestie or confidant is someone else outside the marriage..

It's not technically a bad thing for ur woman to have someone that they feel comfortable talking to.....but I personally feel it would be better if that person is the same person they are sharing a roof, challenges and exchanging saliva.....

I cannot marry a woman that I wont be her confidant, her gist or gossip partner, the first person she tells everything, whether it's just internet gist or who's sleeping with who in her office,....I mean I can't marry a woman that I'm not her paddi for jungle, her ride or die that she can bury a dead body with and be sure none of us will snitch...
God bless you for this wisdom. I concur with all your advice. With these, she will surely ammend.

EducationRe: Mmesoma Ejikeme Opens Up After JAMB Accused Her Of Forging JAMB Result by shallar1(m): 8:14am On Jul 04, 2023
EJIKEME JOY MMESOME: WE HAVE NEVER BEEN PROVEN WRONG - JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is, hereby, restating its earlier position that the UTME result being paraded by Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma is patently fake.

Consequently, the Board would like to reassure Nigerians that its system was neither tampered with nor compromised as the candidate simply falsified a copy of a result slip of a candidate named "Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle", who sat the UTME in 2021 and scored 138.

It is also instructive to note that the candidate, in her statement, has inadvertently revealed the rightful owner of the result she is parading when she pointed out that the QR code on the result slip showed the actual owner of the said result before she peddled a lie in an attempt to obfuscate the truth.

To witness the unassailable position of the Board regarding this obvious falsehood, the general public is, therefore, urged to endeavour to scan the QR code on the result slip to see its actual owner before it was mutilated.

It is to be noted that the QR code encapsulates the UTME result of each candidate, hence, what is on the result sheet is nothing other than the interpretation of the information on this QR code.

Furthermore, the public is also to note that the Board stopped issuing Notification of Result slips in 2021 for the simple reason that candidates were falsifying them. Consequently, the Board had resorted to issuing actual UTME RESULT Slip (not its notification) since 2022 complete with the photograph of candidates.

Similarly, the public is also invited to ponder on the fact that out of all the candidates that sat the 2023 UTME, only Ms. Ejikeme Mmesoma parades the obsolete 'Notification of Result.'

The Board remains unperturbed by this unfortunate development as this is not the first time such fraudulent claims have been made. As such, Nigerians are urged to recall numerous occasions where the Board was sued for billions of naira only for the lawyers to later apologise profusely for their clients' misadventure. Prominent among these is the case of a candidate, John Chinedu Ifesinachi, who, in 2021, sued the Board for N2b only for him and his counsel to tender unreserved apology when the candidate eventually confessed his crime in the face of incontrovertible facts.

This case has, therefore, being rightly handed over to relevant security agencies for thorough investigation to unravel the masterminds of yet another unfortunate scam. The Board is not averse to public scrutiny and hereby suggests a public session with relevant security agencies, representatives of Ms. Ejikeme and civil society organisations in attendance without delay. This is on account of the Board’s experience over the years, which showed that these wily candidates confessed to their ignoble acts only when confronted with incontestable facts.

Another frightening dimension to the unfolding drama is the unwholesome interest of some nefarious elements, who to all intents and purposes, are determined to goad the candidate on this unproductive path as any casual observer would observe with the obviously stage-managed video aired by Ms. Ejikeme. The Board urges these confusionists to have a rethink as their evil machinations would soon come to light.

Again, the Board restates its readiness for genuine scrutiny as this case would not be the first time and might not even be the last of such shenanigans. At the end of the day, the truth would manifest and the Board vindicated.

In the meantime, the management of the Board, after considering the weighty infraction committed by Ms. Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, and in line with it's established procedures, has withdrawn her 2023 UTME result and also barred her from sitting the Board’s examination for the next three years.

PetsLagos Veterinary Association Condemns The Unjust Shooting Of Roxie Dog by shallar1(op): 5:01pm On Mar 25, 2023
The Lagos state chapter of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association has been notified of the shooting in cold blood of Roxie, a pet dog in one of the estates in the Ajah area of Lagos state.

The barbaric incident is reported to have happened 21st of March 2023, after the pet dog strayed from its home in the estate despite having been notified of the missing dog, the Estate security resorted to shooting the dog three times even though the owner had gotten to the scene where the dog was found.

The Estate security was reported to have prevented the owner from retrieving the pet dog, opting to shoot the dog dead in the owner’s presence.

This act is tantamount to animal cruelty and is decriable. The pet dog has no history of aggression or reports of attacking anyone that day. There was ample opportunity to redeem the situation as the owner had made a prior report of a missing dog and was available to retrieve the dog. An Animal Shelter is even located in the vicinity of the Estate where the pet could have been removed pending when the owner would retrieve it.

The action is purely one of power play being in possession of a gun and therefore losing reasoning, said Mark Ofua, state chairman of the Nigerian Veterinary Association (NVMA).

“While we call on all pet owners to adequately restrain their pets, not to inconvenience others, we soundly condemn this wickedness and have drawn the attention of relevant authorities to respond to this emotionally traumatic event. We are a civil society, and we must be seen to live as one,” Ofua said.

PoliticsYAYI: The Gainful Return. by shallar1(op): 12:56pm On May 26, 2022
In Ogun West, it is no longer Yayi is coming, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola aka Yayi is home in Ogun West already, he is now a player in Ogun West politics and he is an aspirant for the seat of Ogun West Senate as we look forward to 2023 general elections. As it stands in the land of Yewa/Aworis, it is a case of Yayi rules others follow. Certainly, a giant is walking the turf of Ogun West politics right now, he is Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi). His team is setting the agenda as the next general elections looms. Online, offline, soft sell, hard sell, mainstream or social media, the news says Yayi is the most talked about aspirant in Ogun West. As a matter of fact, each time the oppositions chose to talk, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi tops their content, be it press releases or communiques.

No doubt, his entrance into Ogun West politics has been a game changer. Yewa Awori politics and how it is played will never remain the same again. A lot has changed as Yayi becomes the face of politics in Ogun West. The face lifting of Ogun West politics is not stopping yet, how far it will go remained to be seen but it is in the direction of the positive. There is a gain that is certain, one that will be very beneficial to the electorates of Ogun West, it is the deliverables from political office holders occupying the topmost offices of the National Assembly, Senate and the House of Representatives that will certainly not be the same again in terms of quality and quantity.

Of course Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola has proved himself a great mobilizer that has been able to enlarge his coast as far as the building of political structure is concerned. That received huge boost of recent, to the chagrin of his detractors. The clips and pictures of his empowerment Programme in Lagos West hit screens of Ogun West cyber space. It was a never before seen or experienced empowerment programme. A very far cry from the kind of empowerment programme that voters in Ogun West are used to. It was a big eye opener for Ogun West electorates to know what they really should be getting as return of votes invested in politicians. Words on the street that followed the filtering in of the shots and clips of the Lagos West empowerment programme of the Senator has been that he should come to Ogun West to replicate the quality of the Lagos West dividends of democracy. The Lagos West experience shifted the attention of more Ogun West people towards Senator Adeola's senatorial aspiration, he became the potential beneficiary of the votes of more electorates.

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola has now become the yardstic with which the deliverables from those that would win elections into the national assembly would be measured. Expectations are at their peak towards 2023., The newly installed Aremo of Yewaland has helped to keep the expectations high up by promising to break his own empowerment Programme and projects facilitation records if elected as Senator for Ogun West. It is a good one for the electorates, a good time to be alive for the people of Ogun West who have been yearning for a better Yewa/Awori land.

Beyond the giving away of minibuses as tools of empowerment, ambulances to hospitals and patrol vehicles to law enforcers to enhance the protection of lives and properties in addition to other different empowerment tools for constituents, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola facilitated worthy number of roads to Lagos West and that is one infrastructure that Ogun West is in dire need of. Senators, representatives have achieved that elsewhere. This Ogun West son, the Aremo of Yewaland has done same in Lagos West. For a senatorial district in need of infrastructural face lift, no other aspirant deserves the votes than the one who is a proven facilitator of projects the kind of projects Ogun West is in dire need of.

It is a new dawn with the coming of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola into Ogun West politics. It is not going to be representation the usual way again. Representing Ogun West will no longer be tea party. The electorates through the coming of Yayi are now in the know of what are obtainable. They know roads are possible and can be facilitated by National Assembly members. Okada and pepper grinding machines are tools of empowerment no doubt but the electorates now know they deserve more, can get more and that more is possible. There is a standard now, the Yayi standard or Yayi key performance indicators. Ojutila as they say, representatives must represent very well. No doubt, in many way has the coming of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola been a blessing to the good people of Ogun West, key among which is the knowledge the awareness that he has created for the electorates to know their worth and the dividends that are possible as their democratic gains.

Kehinde Akinlade,
Ogun West.
