WWE’s No 1, John Cena. Who was recently under in a match with Roman Reigns at No Mercy, (a which he lost to the later) had followed in the footstep his friend and architect rival Dwyane ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

‘The Rock’ just last week released the trailer to his latest movie Jumanji on Twitter. A movie centered around an ancient game that turns participants into a real life size of their game characters.

Few days ago the 16 time world champion released the trailer to his next Hollywood film Ferdinand. Cena voices Ferdinand, a gentle bull who is taken away from his human family to participate in Spanish bull-fighting and goes on an adventure to return home.

“The movie sends a message that resonates very strongly with me: don’t judge a bull by its cover,” the WWE superstar says in the clip. Ferdinand is captured by bullfighters because of his large size, but because he hates violence, the bull decides he must escape with the help of some animal allies.

The Blue Sky Studios film features original music by Nick Jonas and voices from Kate McKinnon, Anthony Anderson, Gina Rodriguez and Peyton Manning as Ferdinand’s friends.

From the creators of Ice Age and Rio, Ferdinand will hit theaters on Dec. 15 via 20th Century Fox.

John Cena started to play into the Hollywood screens recently, toiling the path The Rock took in 2002 as his WWE career slowly drifted to an end before making a triumphant return back in 2012.

Yesterday October 2nd production houses behind The Wedding Party; ELFIKE Flm (Collective, a partnership between EbonyLife Films, FilmOne Distribution, Inkblot Productions and Koga Studios) released a joint statement and teaser trailer for the sequel to Nollywood’s highest grossing movie of all time.

According to the trailer, The Wedding Party will be released in numerous theater across the nation on December 15th of this year. The sequel is officially titled “The Wedding Party 2 – Destination Dubai”.

With majority of its prequel’s main cast returning for another wedding and loads of new people joining the party. The Wedding Party is poised to be the biggest movie of this year as the close up the years cinematic run.

COO of FilmOne Distribution Moses Babatope, said they are working on making sure everyone who wants to watch the movie can get a ticket;



“This is going to be the biggest release of 2017, opening on multiple screens in every cinema in Nigeria. We are working hard to ensure that everyone who wants to see the movie will be able to get a ticket.”

This obviously a reference to an issue they had with The Wedding Party earlier this year when some people complained of not been able to secure a ticket whereas some others have been able to see the movie up to three times.

CEO of EbonyLife Films Mo Abudu, said she was excited a out the new poster and teaser trailer;

With this new trailer, one can almost taste what The Wedding Party – Destination Dubai has in stocks for us. From jaw breaking scenes, to rib cracking acts, witty facial expressions we already have another million dollars Nollywood film in our hands.

The 15th of December cannot come too soon.

I don't like popular demands, besides I have other TV series I'm currently watching.

Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi recently interviewed with her alma mater University of Wolverhampton‘s magazine WLV Life.

Adesua opened up about why she returned to Nigeria after her stay in the UK, what she finds rewarding about acting, and, ultimately, her goals.

Adesua described her experience, studying in the university, as life changing. She said: “It is the foundation upon which my career has been built.”

The actress had for a long time known she wanted to be in the arts, wanting to be become an actor but also wanting a course that would focus not only on the practical side of the arts, but also on the theoretical side, too.

On moving to Nigeria, Adesua said she had planned, when she left the UK, to stay only for 3 months.

But she arrived in Nigeria and fell in love with the budding film industry, and wanted to be known as one of the people who helped shape it.

Everything boils down to love, she said. Love for the arts, love for Nollywood, and love for Nigeria.

Adesua said her proudest achievement so far has been winning the Best Actress in a Drama award for the movie, “Falling,” at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

Game of Thrones actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau thinks it’s a bad idea to film multiple endings for the acclaimed HBO series. The hit fantasy drama – based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novel series and adapted for television by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss – has come a long way since its debut in 2011, earning its spot as one of the biggest and most talked about shows ever to grace the small screen. Sadly, the series is quickly nearing its end, and the game of thrones will soon present its victor.

Game of Thrones season 7 garnered HBO multiple record-breaking viewings, despite multiple episode leaks, and with only six episodes left, they want to make sure that none of the remaining episodes go live days before their scheduled air date. Furthermore, in order to combat spoilers, HBO’s head of programming Casey Bloys recently said that the series’ producers plan on filming multiple endings. It was unclear, however, whether that meant they will be filming multiple finales or simply have various versions of the show’s last few minutes. Regardless, the very notion of having multiple endings puzzles one of the series’ stars.

Coster-Waldau, who plays one of the series’ main characters, Jaime Lannister, spoke to Marie Claire recently about HBO filming multiple endings for Game of Thrones, something he outright denied. Although he hasn’t read the scripts for the finale yet, he thinks the very idea of spending extra money on content that won’t ever see the light of day is absurd.

According to Variety, HBO is increasing the budget for the eighth and final season of the critically acclaimed TV show. The upcoming season will cost over $15 million per episode, the largest per-episode budget ever given to a TV show.

In recent years, the standard for expensive TV shows has been around $10 million per episode.

Over the past nine months we’ve been treated to lots and lots of movies both locally and internationally.

We’ve had great films that performed just as they we expected, we’ve had those that surprised us and performed more than envisaged and we’ve had the that under performed less than was speculated.

It’s been a great 2017 but we’ve still got over three months to go and these three months are all loaded with cinematic block busters. Some of these movies are still been filmed, others are undergoing post production and some are just quietly waiting, bidding thier set time.

It was only days ago that the trailer for Dognnaped: Nigeria’s first animated movie was released and now we are going to get an animated series, Nollywood has released stepped their game up.

Anthill Studios has released the official trailer for its upcoming 13-episode animated series, “Adventures of Lola and Chuchu”.

“Adventures of Lola and Chuchu” is an adventure series produced by Anthill studios, which is owned by Nigerian filmmaker Niyi Akinmolayan. In 2016, they produced “Plaything,” a 3D animation that went viral.

“10 years ago Before Anthill studios, there was Beaver studios. I and a couple of nerdy friends who wanted to make animated films for kids,” Niyi explained.



“We were ready to launch when armed robbers attacked and robbed us of our work. Four years down, I was fortunate to meet Eri Umusu and Godwin Akpan and the vision came back again.”

Niyi Akinmolayan is popular for movies which include “Out of Luck,” “Falling,” “The Arbitration” and the upcoming “The Wedding Party 2.”

His first feature was a sci-fi movie “Kajola” in 2009.

The Rock, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan star in the new, punchline-heavy trailer for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle , director Jake Kasdan’s upcoming sequel of the 1995 fantasy-adventure film.

The clip opens by setting up the basic plot: Over two decades after the events of the first, Robin Williams-starring film, four teenagers stuck in high school detention discover an old video game named Jumanji while cleaning out the building’s basement. After firing up the vintage title, they’re sucked into Jumanji’s jungle landscape, where they inhabit the bodies of their game avatars – each with its own distinct superpowers and weaknesses.

While the nerdy Spencer (Alex Wolff) is psyched to learn he’s become the muscular badass archeologist Dr. Smolder Bravestone (Johnson), not all of the characters are happy with their physical shifts. In particular, the superficial Bethany (Madison Iseman) is horrified to discover she’s transformed into cartographer/cryptographer Professor Shelly Oberon. “I’m an overweight, middle-aged man!” she exclaims after glimpsing her new Jack Black visage. “Wait a second – where’s my phone?”

The trailer veers from ramped-up action scenes (vicious cobras, motorcycle chases, helicopters) to several comedic moments, many featuring sharp banter between Johnson and Hart.

In the final scene, the comedian (as zoologist Franklin “Moose” Finbar) encounters his personal kryptonite – a slice of cake – at a street market. “Am I shaking? Am I still black?” he asks. “OK, I’m fine! Everything’s fine! It’s all good.” Moments later, he explodes – wasting one of his three lives.

Early this year I correctly predicted the (then) next location Ay Makun was going to take his ionic onscreen character Akpos to. That prediction was way before Ay Makun announced the title of location for 10 days in Sun City.

Alot of people thought I had somehow gotten leaks from Ay’s inner cactus, others said Ay had somehow told me but amazingly Ay doesn’t know me, at least not until this post (this is me hoping he will get to know me after this).

My prediction was based on simple mathematics not like I like that subject, you could say I got lucky but anyhow am back with another prediction on where Ay Makun will likely take his next adventure to.

Official no sequel has been announced as 10 days in Sun City is still doing well in the cinemas (its London premiere is happening this weekend) but like Chidumga Izuzu of Pulse wrote “Nollywood is in the era of sequel” and so it’s safe to say 10 days in Sun City will be getting a sequel.

It’s no doubt that both Arya Stark and Cersei Lannister are two of the most powerful women in the whole of Westoros.

Cersei Lannister, the one who presently sits on the iron throne. Probably the most hated woman in all of the seven kingdoms surrounded by enemies. Arya Stark on the other hand is the second daughter of late Ned Stark a girl who has gone through it all throughout the progress of the seven seasons and probably the best female swords(woman)man in Westoros.

In the first episode of season seven when Arya Stark came across some lannister soldiers in the woods, she told them that shew was on her way to kings landing to kill the queen cersei, although this elicited laughter frim the soldiers, Ed Sheeran himself and was considered as a joke but it actually had some degree of truth underneath it.

To be frank, there’s probably no one else more deserving to kill cersei than Arya stark. You might want to mention Bran but with being the three eyed raven now I doubt if killing Cersei will be of great interest to Bran, then we have Sansa Stark, shes probably the only Stark member to have gone through hell as much as she did at the hands of Cersei but we all know Sansa is more of a lady than a killer as displayed in the season finale of the the seventh where she ordered Lord Baelish to be killed for his many treason act.

We all know that the entire Game of Thrones series has been set in a pre-colonial era kind of setting no one really knows how many hundreds of years ago.

An era where ravens were still relied on for long distance communications, swords were the go to weapons for war and death was an instant punishment for almost every type of mistake.

But have we ever sat down to wonder how it will all pan out if the occurrences of the Game of Thrones series happened in our 21st century modern era? Would Cersei Lannister be the Queen of England and her children the Prince and Princess? Would there be a Prime Minister Lannister?

What will be the roles and positions of Jon Snow and Khaleesi, would dire wolfs still be a desirebale pet to own? Would we have thousands of castrated unsullied army? Would Tyrion Lannister still be despised by his father for his height?



Machine guns certainly would be in every Lannister soldier’s hands and maybe atomic bombs and missles would the most deadly weapons of war and not Dracays or Verision. Would the President of North Korea be the night king? Or maybe Nmadi Keanu sef?

In Season 7, Game of Thrones mined some real dramatic gold from unlikely character pairings. The season finale had Brienne meet up with the Hound for the first time since she nearly killed him, and surprisingly, they came to a kind of mutual respect for one another. On the flip side, Bran Stark met Littlefinger for the first time, and while the late Lord Baelish tried to ingratiate himself to the young greenseer, Bran saw right through him and knew exactly what kind of man he was. Their meeting was brief but thrilling.Throughout its run, Game of Thrones‘ has thrived on unlikely pairings. It makes you wonder: which other characters should meet to yield awesome results? And is this a good predictor of what’s to come in Season 8?
It goes without saying that there are loads of reunions we’re hoping to see in Season 8, such as Arya and Gendry, or Jaime and Brienne. But with just six episodes left and an entire war to depict, Game of Thrones must consider very methodically which moments of dramatic interaction it wants to show. So how do you narrow it down when there are still so many among the show’s sprawling cast who’ve never met at all?

We have some ideas on who should come face to face with who. And some of them are just too good not to come true.

15. ARYA & CERSEI

It was only last week we got news that 2015 box office success “Fifty” would be adapted into a small screen TV series and now Pulse Movies are reporting that 2016’s Nollywood pride “Wives on Strike” is being adapted into a TV series as well.



Although nothing in official confirmed from Omoni Oboli herself but it’s safe to say report this after following Omoni’s Instagram post back in March when the actress posted teaser about an upcoming project – a TV series.

Recently the actress took to the same platform to put up set photos of herself alongside Kehinde Bankole, Uche Jombo, Chioma Chukwuka and Ufuoma McDermott.


The series will feature the above-mentioned lead cast of the movie, and is being directed by Oboli, who is popular for “Okafor’s Law,” “Being Mrs Elliott” and “First Lady.”

The 2016 movie, “Wives on Strike,” follows the story of a group of market women who decide to take matters into their own hands against their husbands in a bid to stir them into standing up for a young girl whom they wanted to protect from the wishes of her own father.


While we might have been expecting a big screen sequel to the 2016 box office success, we might just have to settle for a TV series adaptation. And with acceptance of TV series in the Nigeria scene this days, we might just be seeing the birth of a new Jenifa Daires in terms of success.
