AgricultureRe: No Kill My Love For Agriculture by shariff84: 1:25pm On Sep 07, 2017
shyenar999:
As a Nigerian youth we have always been told to embrace agriculture, that we should appreciate the usefulness of our endowed land which is full of milk and honey by going into farming
I have seen many youths try laying their hands on some part of agriculture but some adverts I see on nairaland at times don't seems to encourage (from my view)
Now my questions are these
What could be the main/major reason why people sell their poultry pen regardless of how small or large it is?
Why do people sell their farm land even when they say farming is profitable either you r directly or indirectly practicingit?t

Please help answer those questions concisely just not to discourage but encourage the young agroprenuers.
in agriculture, new land is very fertile and sweetable for crop cultivation with used of non or small fertilizer.therefore if u have a farm and u cultivate it for several year, the soil nutrient will reduce and more fertilizer wil be need

I don't know why it is taking these Fadama guys forever to come up with a plan on how to disburse the grants across the successful candidates.
The season for cultivating and planting of rice and maize has already passby.
The reason for the delay is still beyond my comprehensive understanding.

Anybody with an accurate info?

AgricultureRe: Are You Into Farmproduce Or Yam Storage Business? Check In Here. by shariff84: 6:21pm On Sep 01, 2017
OKPAGAFREDRICK:
Thank you so much
bambara nut storage is easy and u can only get plenty of it from salka,a village market in nasko local govt of niger state.then melon is also easy to storage,a full bag of 100kg melon is now 3k in makera market in niger state.then i will never advice you to go into yam storage because of the risk involve.a friend of my is storing yam yearly but each year about 30 percent of the yam will spoil.we also have alot of yam farmers in niger state at wushishi local govt precisely zungeru market.cultivating is better than buying it for storage, because u can get up 200 percent returns of ur investment.
