BlowBack: Whether as VP or substantial President, the better south will do better never to support a Yoruba candidacy to ASO rock in whatever capacity.
The reoccurring formula in Nigerian Politics is that there must be a northerner in the equation (preferably a hausa fulani muslim) either as President or Vice President.
The Yorubas knowing that they can never ever smell power again after Obasanjo have keyed into this equation and were and are still ready to play second fiddle to the north in order to have a stake at the centre.
The Yoruba preferred political stratagem is a North - SW ticket and they have gotten it with Obasanjo and now Osinbanjo.
They are now appealing to the SS/SE for support to continue this arrangement in 2019 with a possible Osinbanjo Presidency with a northern VP.
This arrangement will be no different than the disastrous Buhari -Osinbanjo presidency to both the SS and SE.
Our best bet is to settle for the VP position and support a substantive northern Presidency.
At least with this arrangement either the SS or SE is guaranteed a foot into Aso Rock.
If the Yorubas are pained about this just simply remind them of their backstabbing of a fellow southern President in the last election.
We dey learn treachery work for una hand now since that is all una sabi and by 2019 it will be another Ab0ki with either a SS or SE as deputy When you say the beta south please never in your life include the se, that my brother is the more disgraceful south. SS is the richer south and the SW is the promise south (promise land) judging how various Igbo clans tribes and households have been running away and trooping in from their father given cursed red enclave. Is it not crazy you regard where they run to for glory restitution and success as anything else than the beta south. |

Politics › Re: Is There Any Cosmopolitan State In South East Region?? by Shawnnn01: 11:20am On May 12, 2017 |
toolovely: OP, there are things that will make people leave or relocate from their home region to another region. jobs, business etc.... apart from abuja and Lagos, which other area will you see Yorubas moving to in large numbers? the Yorubas i know dont like living outside the zone same as Northerners. now, igbos move out because of their adventurous nature. some of the businesses igbos are into, can you leave your region to do that another region? the business minded yorubas i know after service dont go back. they start up their businesses in the east and are doing very well.
someone wrote about no south east state was among the first 10 highest IGR. he forgot that it's still same Igbos who left their land to do business in their region also contributed to that.
so OP, the only answer to your question is to ask your self, what is the percentage of yorubas living in other states outside yoruba land(excluding Abuja)? A very large size of Yoruba live in Kaduna, Edo, Rivers, Delta and more are moving into Akwa Ibom steadily. |

lonelydora: Why attack people going about their business? Tochukwu is not only Igbos that bear it, we have many people in Rivers State who bear Igbo names too, Ikwerres, Etche, Ubima, etc.
This hatred for Igbos by South south people is the reason I didn't support Jonathan in 2015. Had Jonathan been an Igbo man they wouldn't have supported him.
Thank God he lost. And there we go again with Igbo victim mentality. Have you ever stopped to figure out why everyone hate you and try adjusting to conform so that you can be accepted instead of blaming everyone for not accepting your pompous disrespectful ways . Just a thought. |
