@bibike123
Im in thr position to advice u on this, my relative spouse visa took 8months to be processed. I submitted, 19 june 2018 and approved on 26 jan 2019. I was terrified and troubled in my heart. U need marriage certificate registered at home affair before its can be proved u r married to SA citizens or pamanent resident holder. U need to certified ur nigeria mariage at foreign affair ministry in abj or lag. U r only gonna pay vfs fees cos no charges from high commission on relative spouse visa.

U need ur spouse ID, prove of resident on his name or not, u need affidavit from SAPS ceritfied,6 months bank statement, 6months pay slips, letter of recommendation from ur spouse, biography of ur relationship.... But above all u most be married in south Africa at home affair before u can be recognized.

post=76413190]Please is there anyone here who is experienced in spousal visa, what are the documents needed, how long does it take, how much is it, and does SA embassy honor marriage certificates from Nigeria, if one is married to a citizen of SA but marriage done in Nigeria
@bobnono My wife called high commission, Abuja today And she was told alot of permit since may 2018 is still with them but they promised my wife that i will get my passport before next week thursday.. All delay permit r all coming out by next thursday. They said they have to verified all document thats why is taking extra months to do it.

bobnono:
You qualify...

8500 is the set min amount

tell your wife to call them abuja or still visit embassy, they have complaint days not vfs the embassy itself.

at times it might not be embassy...once they send your document for screening to SA..the delay might be from SA

Dont worry too much! my brother from another mother!

@sheddymore, have you prayed over this? prayer is everything cos at times if your application gets into the hands of a gay man etc...or some other factors...at times in life when u are doing something u must learn to keep secretes and hide it from your friends and family members who dont wish u 'well'. Such visa could give you citizenship. I know people who submitted and got there's within the time frame. I will be asking you some questions so i could check with them the doc they used but you have nothing to worry about too much, life is very short, Bible says a living dog is better than dead lion. If they dont trust your application they would have sent it back with a rejections since so be of good chee. Only appeal application in the republic gets stuck at there offices at times because people in that section.... Dont let your heart be troubled.

let me know what doc you used for application.
Are you married to a Nigeria? or SA citizen? and for how long...
Your marriage certificate is it SA marriage that is customary or home affirms etc civil or Nigeria marriage, and type of marriage u did with your spouse, if yes was your spouse here in Nigeria?.
Do you have children or child with this spouse?
did you put banking information?
How long have you stay in the republic...
hope you did not overstayed and you are sure you were not vlisted
also try check your travel records to see the last comments

Let me know all these info and any other doc you put...so we can be of free help.

sure

Bob

I submitted in abuja since 19 june, 2018 for relative spouse visa and no reply yet. I have sent 5 different letter to high commission via vfs but My last letter, i used speed post and they confirmed they received it in the receptionist dept. 7months now no reply and they get hold to my passport, seperated me from my family, moreover, home affair told me i must come to my home country to apply for this and i did but i look useless.

I dont know my next step now.

This so disturbing. I'm applying for the first time and I can't apply in south Africa..they said I must apply in my home country that's why I came here to play.

What do u advice me bro.

post=74177961] I applied for rewal of my relative spouse visa also around that time you applied but after two months without response I withdrew my application, that is around September and luckily I still had about a month before my previous visa expires, I flew immediately back to SA and reapply and in less than two months my visa was issued. Another thing I observed at vfs South Africa they don’t take your passport, after you submit your application you will go back with your passport, when the visa is issued you will come with your passport and they will put your visa in it.
