Oh my! Nigeria is just killing people. A mine site without a CO detector. Send government regulators to those sites, they will take bribe and not do their job. I remember when I was working with an Indian oil exploration company, whenever DPR officials come to site they just stay in the office, take their envelopes afterwards and go back home. A lot of people don't know that some of these incidents are avoidable and are a result of carelessness by government, that's why they attack you when you ask for change.

It sad how we keep going over this police report of a thing. The National Assembly has passed a Bill that allows hospitals to attend to gunshot injury and other life threatening injuries whilst waiting for a police report But Doctors and Hospitals are still rejecting patients..... I think the problem is not the system but the people, we are annoyingly strange in this part of the world.

I am sorry it's not the people's; it's government's fault. You can't make a law and not enforce it. People in power are not perturbed because it doesn't affect them. You see how quick Nigeria switched to the current national anthem, that's how efficiently we expect the government to react in this sort of situation. Every life matters!!!
