Hey guys!

It has been a long while since I visited this thread (or is it called trend?), and today, I felt I should share what has been going on at my end with the hope of encouraging someone.

So, when I started this journey November, I was so excited, and I felt passing IELTS and getting ITA was going to be a breeze until IELTS 'jammed me'.

My first attempt was January 19, and I was so sure of getting nothing less than 8 in writing, but, alas, I had L-9, R-8.5, W-6.5, S-7, and I didn't even stop there because I asked for EOR, but it came back unchanged.

However, I didn't give up, and I booked the next available date, April 9th, and the test was computer delivered, and yay! I passed!
L-9, R-9, W-7, S-7, but it did not end there, and in fact, that is where my story begins because I asked for EOR again. Actually, at this point, my score was 444, and I had been hoping to at least get 450.

You see, after my first attempt, I came to this forum for assistance, and I joined Wasseynewest's writing group to familiarise myself with the essay structures, @bunmioluwa also introduced me to writeandimprove.com, a wonderful site for IELTS. Furthermore, I downloaded Grammarly app on my laptop, from the Microsoft store, and that made me realise some of my writing mistakes, and I worked on these by watching some youtube videos.

When I started practising with writeandimprove.com, my score was 6.5, but, before the test, I was consistently getting 8, sometimes 8.5, under examination conditions. So, that prompted me to ask for a remark when my results came out because I badly needed 3 extra points at least.

Fortunately, as God would have it, I got 6 points extra because I received my EOR report today.

L-9, R-9, W-7.5, S-8. Halleluyah somebody!

I guess what I am trying to say is that you should seek assistance when you need it because in this journey, being full of yourself isn't going to help you one bit, and secondly, even if you 'pass' the test, and you need extra points, consider asking for a remark first before rewriting the test. You might be surprised!

I tap into this testimony o. I got 9, 8.5, 7, 7.5. I requested EOR just yesterday for writing and speaking. A 7.5 in writing will land me a 450. Congrats and The Lord who did yours will perfect mine.

If I de small I go go look my original copy of my ECA and my reference letter. To practice don tire me as I no longer find the urge to practice. Ielts has shown me shege, I hope this next one will be my last one

Please don't give up o. If I could scale through ielts, you will. May God grant you grace to overcome it

Please do a remark and also schedule to write the test again. You can try MOD if the earlier was with BC. The earlier the better because no one knows if they intend to drop the cut off below 450 this year, at the rate they are going.

Seniors in the house, I seriously need your counsel as I'm in a terrible dilemma. I am currently in the pool with 447, I have the chance of boosting my score to 450 if I remark and get an upgrade from 7 to 7.5 for ielts writing. I'm however caught in between whether or not to do that. My birthday is February.

Dear brothers and sisters on this Canada journey, I need help for a friend.

She applied for her MBA transcript since SEPT 2018 from OOU and till now they are saying they cannot find her file in PG school and therefore cannot generate the transcript....She did the MBA in 2005 and has a notification of result for completing the program. Please this has stalled all plans for her Canada journey.

Any help with a reliable contact that can sort this out ASAP will be greatly appreciated.

Your friend should wake up o. The school has no right whatsoever to tell him/her that her file can't be found, having gone through the rigours of studies. Please, write to the school's registry forthwith. They will find your file.

Today is the happiest day of my life. After 6 attempts of not being able to go through ielts, I got my result today.

L 9
R 8.5
W 7
S 7.5

Recall, I complained here of not being able to pass
listening, some months ago. God has done it. Though crs is 447.

No one is permitted to give up. It's very possible.

It's no problem, if you can get your husband's account statement. To be on the safer side, you guys can apply make his a joint account for both of you.
