Roqqu organisation ( the entire staff and the creator of the system) needs to be arrested and jailed for at least 30 years imprisonment for public fraud. This afternoon one of the customer service representative has just scammed me of ₦17,793. 00 of which l sold my Tron to get the money. the Tron was transferred, converted to cash on the system and all of a sudden to send the money to my account l received an information that withdrawal has been disabled. Subsequently, l decided to chat with a customer service representative a woman for that matter who later scammed me of the money that's not even mine.

I have not yet lost hope o! But want whoever already have crypto-currencies or cash in the Roqqu account should go right now and withdraw your fund or cash. Else your your money and cryptos are all gone forever. Finally never do business with Roqqu again for life!!!

I'm at this stage too.. Currently I just scour freelance sites, register with them and see what sort of jobs available that matches your skills to an extent.. Customise your profile to fit those jobs and apply for them.. I'm registered only on upwork tho and so far no jobs yet but mainly because I am not that serious. I hope this helps

I think I looked at the fundamentals of using python data science libraries before going to Power BI simply because with Excel, I could create interactive dashboards though not with the beauty of Power BI.

I'll advise you... people don't really LEARN a tool completely. You just know the fundamentals and then sometimes when you're stuck, you use available resources like stack overflow and Google to sort yourself out. As basic as you may think Excel is, it is so vast that you can't just finish learning as more add ins keep coming into updated versions. Same as other tools.

Yes. In fact, as far Nigeria is concerned, online is the best source.

Just try to find a good course; free or paid. There's a data science course on EDX by UC San Diego. You can take the course for free but your assignments will not be graded. Alternatively, you can apply for scholarship. If granted you'll only pay a token (I think around 5k).

I was in same shoes, though 30k. Was always annoyed with myself so I left. Learnt data science and machine learning.

Job hunting right now. It's also challenging at the moment because I'm broke. That's something most of us see. But the skill and the mindset of the present gives me courage and opened me up to so many opportunities.

I would say to you: be ready to be uncomfortable, skill up, and very likely, relocate.

In the end, you'll be fine.

Lemme advise you. The fact is that all those things they thought us in school are not really relevant in the real world. They're useful but they're too low for what the modern skill market needs. If you want to get a good pay you'll have to reeducate yourself by taking courses online and watching youtube videos.

Do you have a laptop?

If yes, then I think you should quite that 15k job. It might be tough but I believe it's the right thing to do. There'll be tough times that might make you regret leaving your 15k job but try to focus on where you're going.

Find time to learn WordPress and/or graphics design. If you're smart you should be up and running with WordPress in one month of intensive study.

Next, jump to facebook and create a business page. Same on twitter.

Next, offer to design websites for businesses for free but they'll pay for their domain name and hosting. These are the ones you'll use as portfolio and sample.

Next, start advertising aggressively on twitter and facebook that you'll help people design a website for 5k. Finding one client a week is possible. You may need to visit hubspot to learn about digital marketing tricks and tips.

The above is just to give you a quick side hustle to get some money. It's not really enough to build a future on. But the small money you're getting from it should help you stay away from teaching jobs.

Next, you should learn a sustainable skill like copywriting, data science, web programming. There's money in these skills. It might take some time before you land your first job but once you do. Your life will turn around drastically. I won't say much.

Pro tip: once you learn these things, make sure you build a brand of your own; business name, website, facebook page etc.

Now, you might ask:
1 - how do I get a laptop?
2 - how do I get money to sustain myself for my first few months of learning?

Go and borrow money from your family and friends. I'm sure you'll have secondary and university mates that have become quite comfortable. Talk to them and see if they can be borrowing you 20k per month for the next three months (15k for food and 5k for data).

By this time next year, by the grace of God, you'll have paid those debts and be living decently to say the least.

i recently took interest in data analysis in excel and python and the learning has been top notch. i would crave to assist with “the method” i feel is most great for absolute starters and intermediate learners.

The question is “How do I learn data analysis with python”.

I would answer this by outlying a few methods that have helped tremendously.

Commit your time to it. You can’t learn by just reading blogs. you simply need to practice and as such would need a laptop or at best a desktop computer. there is self-deceit in wanting to learn with your phone. Truth is everyone starts somewhere. The best way to learn is by practice. trying to reproduce what has been done with a good and clearer understanding.
Learn Python Fundamentals: This is the basic requirement should you want data to obey and respond to your commands. One tool that came in handy for me was jupyter notebook and spyder. while i prefer jupyter owing to its ease of use, you can download the entire tools by installing anaconda. it comes pre-loaded with pycharm, jupyter notebook, spyder and R just to mention a few. As you learn the fundamentals, try to join local meet up groups, Kaggle community(create a Kaggle account for free).
Practice Python Projects: You only learn when you unlearn to learn. where you have projects done by others, you can re-produce same to your goal so you know how to avoid errors. when learning, it is common practice to make errors. you can make simple errors that can take hours and days to fanthom. that is where practice and practice comes to play.
Learn Python data science libraries: Once you get a goal at Python, it becomes expedient to learn the libraries as these are codes already written by people that you can easily call and use in your own code instead of writing from start. The three best and most important Python libraries for data science are NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib.
Numpy: A library that allows you to work on mathematical and statistical operations easily.

Pandas: A library that allows you to resolve data in table format easily. With pandas, you can fetch your data in rows and columns and allows you to explore and play with your data.

Matplotlib: All the data you worked on in Numpy and Pandas can easily be viewed in charts that can easily be interpreted. with these charts, you can make inference from your data.

5. Build a datascience portfolio as you learn:

The essence of datascience or analysis is to make inference from your data such that you can talk to it and it can convey information to you.

The process starts from data cleaning and data pre-processing to makingeasy to read visualizations. Having great-looking charts in a project will make your portfolio stand out.

Displaying projects like these (done by you) gives fellow data scientists an opportunity to potentially collaborate with you, and shows future employers that you’ve truly taken the time to learn Python and other important programming skills.

One of the nice things about data science is that your portfolio doubles as a resume while highlighting the skills you’ve learned, like Python programming.

6. Apply Techniques learnt to sharpen your skills

Learning is the constant thing. Should you want to be comfortable with regression, classification, and k-means clustering models. You can also step into machine learning – bootstrapping models and creating neural networks using scikit-learn.

At this point, programming projects can include creating models using live data feeds that gives you comfort. Machine learning models of this kind adjust their predictions over time.
