I don't know how people manage to build for a cheaper price. My project is a block of 2 flats (4 bedrooms ensuite, visitors toilet and 2 bedrooms plus visitors toilet at the back and a gateman house. I have spent over 10 million naira excluding the land and the project isn't finished yet. I am even scared that it might get to 15 million - 17 million at the end of it. When i see people that built or are building for less , i Begin to wonder HOW?

Reply to @Boay : Thanks alot! The sqm is actually 230 and not 250 as earlier stated (the gatehouse has been floored already). Location is in benin city and i was told to pay 7k per m3 for the concrete as last price and 50k for the supervision.

Also, someone told me that the floor of soakaway is not floored with concrete to allow liquid to sink into the earth while another told me that the ground is floored with concrete. How true is this? Thanks

Good evening house. Please i need your opinions. Is 150k too small to set about 2050 blocks for fencing (digging of the back side inclusive because the both sides have been dugged and fenced with few coaches of block already). The Land is a 100ftby100. Intially the builder agreed for 2000 block but refused when he learn't that the moulder molded 2050. The painful part is that, he was supposed to commence tomorrow morning but didn't give me his reply until this evening when i called him. Your opinions please.

I base abroad and the building was entrusted in the hands of a family member.What are the risks of building with 5 inches blocks? It's as if my world is crumbling �� I read somewhere that such structures are not solid. Please help me, advice me on what to do. I have spent all my savings erecting the structure. Thanks
