Celebrities / Re: Genevieve Nnaji Vs Ini Edo by sherron(f): 7:51pm On Mar 13, 2009
I've seen both sisters without makeup. I must say, thank God for makeup or else some people coouldn't even go on T.V

I do like INI, she's makeup pretty, but she's pretty. Without the make up, she looks like any regular sister off the streets. I know many sisters who go without makeup and they look 100 times better than both INI and GENNY.

I like Genny because I'm so use to her more than I am with INI. I like INI also, but Genny to me is a much better actress. Genny is more natural and she fits most of the roles she plays.

INI on the other hand seems to force herself into her role. She either over act or her parts to play doesn't really fit her.

By now, you can all tell my vote goes for Ms. Genny. I do think Genny is over rated at times. Without makeup, she's not all that. She has bad skin problems like other sisters and makeup covers all of that to make her look even more beautiful than she is.

The person who made this post is acting his/her shoelace. Please grow up and accept life for what it is. You must be perfect in every sense of the word. Someone gave birth to you and nine times out of ten, she have stretch marks too and maybe more than omosexy. Once again, GROW UP and post something with sense.
Celebrities / Re: Ghanaian Actresses- Jackie Appiah Vs Nadia Buari by sherron(f): 7:31pm On Mar 13, 2009
I saw both young ladies in one of those Beyonce movies and I think Jackie was a much better actress. Nadia was just there, but Jackie really acted her part. I do like Nadia; but she's not that much of a great actress to me.
Celebrities / Re: Ghanaian Actresses- Jackie Appiah Vs Nadia Buari by sherron(f): 12:47am On Mar 10, 2009
Hey, I asked a friend of mine about liking Halle Berry or Angelina Jolie. My exact question was, " which one is more beautiful to you and he said, I got to go with my sister Halle. He said because he would never diss a sister for a White woman. I then asked him,"what if Halle was fully White, then which one would you choose"? He said Angelina of course because now he's comparing two White women and Angelina is sexier and can and is a better actress.
Religion / Re: A Question For You - Huxley by sherron(f): 12:25am On Mar 10, 2009
Good day gentlemen,

I've read all your comments and statements. I must say that this topic is very interesting. I'd like to add my two cents if I may. I do not wish to take away from this post, however, I see things a little differently from some of you. I do agree with the gentleman who said we learn somethings by what we were taught as a child and by seeing for ourselves. Now when we become adults, we do tend to think for ourselves and find out different information and some of these information may be different from what we were taught. For ex. the Cinderella story we believed in as a child. Once we became of age, we realize that this Cinderella story is fake and was designed for children's entertainment only. So it is with other things in life that are not always what it seems.

With this in mind, I think man (meaning people), will make up that which they don't understand. Years ago, when it rained and man had no idea how Rain came, he worshipped the rain as a God. The same thing with the Sun and Fire. When we don't know something, we give it a name and put meaning to it until we understand it better.

In math, when we don't know the answer, we call it x. 7+4=x. Once we find out what x is, we then call it 11. Man doesn't know who or what God is, he's not sure; he calls the unknown GOD. 100 or 200 years from now, man will have a different name for God. My point here is this, man knows not much about who he is or what he is or what his purpose is here on earth. If we preach and believe that God is love and he's merciful and we trully accept this and KNOW it, then and only then would I say that we as human beings really understand this creative force behind us. I can not prove God exist to any one but myself and no one can prove to me that the Bible is the word of a true and honest God. This I will challenge anyone with.

Gentlemen, I'm enjoying the read, so please continue and never mind my two cents. I was only voicing my opinion. I do speak with respect to all religions.
Religion / Re: A Question For Tithe Payers by sherron(f): 11:37pm On Mar 09, 2009
One must understand that laws which were layed down back in the day were for those days only. Times change and people change along with time. We can not take every thing word for word i the Bible. Some things we have to take into consideration the reason for the commandments or the rules. Ex. Years ao, women were not allowed in the temples or synagogues while on their cycle because of poor hygiene. The smell alone would run men away and that wouldn't seem right in a Godly place. Now today we have sanitary pads to hide odors and no one would even know when that time of month is here. So we wouldn't take heed to that rule today even though some still do. So it is with tithes. These rules are still taught by the Christian Churches, but other religions don't teach this.

I've never paid tithes before. Yes I've given an offering here and there to various Churches, but that's because I believe those pastors are putting my money to good use. I can't see members of a Church tithing all their lives by givimg 105 of their earnings and they areliving worse than the people who don't give at all. Something is wrong here.

@ Sherron, YOU concluded that they picked Nadia purely due to her skin colour, not them YOU.

It seems as though you are not understanding me very well because I fail to communicate my message. Let me try this again. I was stating that all my White co workers picked Nadia over Appiah because of her skin tone. This was their choice because they felt Appiah was too dark. Now if it was between Nadia and Halle Berry, then there would be a mixture in answers. Get it/
Celebrities / Re: Angelina Jolie(miss Thing) Or Halle Berry( Black Barbie) by sherron(f): 8:04pm On Mar 09, 2009
As for beauty, I'll pick Halle, but I think Angelina can definitely act better.
Celebrities / Re: Ghanaian Actresses- Jackie Appiah Vs Nadia Buari by sherron(f): 8:00pm On Mar 09, 2009
You know very well that in a White world, light skin was and is always considered beautiful and better than that of dark skin. This we know very well is stemming from slavery days when the slave masters would treat their light skin slaves better than their dark skin slaves. Now let's not go over history 101. lol

This slave mentality have been branded in our heads as Black people for years and it still exists. So don't act as if you didn't know and if you didn't really know, then now you know. Our skin color shouldn't really matter; but in a White world, it does. I showed these two photos to my co workers and all the White people went straight to Nadia and picked her to be the the most beautiful and there's nothing wrong with their choice except for the fact that they picked her based on the color of her skin. So even if theY liked Appiah more, they would have picked Nadia because she was lighter.

Now what if they were both dark skinned and the same shade of darkness, then what? lol
TV/Movies / Re: Who is your Favorite Nigerian Movie Star? (actor or actress) by sherron(f): 11:24pm On Mar 01, 2009
I'm crazy about Ramsey Noah and I really like Jenny and Omotola. These three are my favorites. Oops, I think Omotola is Ghanian. What do I know. I'm Jamaican. I love these three people though. They are great actresses and actor. I would love to see them in Hollywood doing major roles. Ramsey is just too sweet. Omotola and Genny are two beautiful African actresses. I love them both.
Religion / Re: Should Catholic Priest And Nuns Be Allowed To Have Sexual Relationships? by sherron(f): 9:58pm On Mar 01, 2009
For those of you who believe in the Bible, there's a verse which states that, it is better to marry than to burn. So you can interpret this any way you wish. I think that people should live a life that will not interfere with others. So if staying single is your thing, then the priest and the nuns should do just that.

I don't see what would be wrong if they did have sexual relations. Is there a verse in the scriptures which forbids this? It must be in the Catholic Apocrypha because I've never seen it written in the Bible before. It's strange how Christianity was build on Catholicism and yet the priests and Nuns are not allowed to have sex. I see this as strange because it is written in the Bible for man to replenish the earth. Now if one can not have sex, how in the hell can any of us replenish the earth.

Leave it to Nuns and Priests and we would have a barren earth.
Celebrities / Re: Should Ghanaian Actress Jackie Appiah Act In Nollywood? by sherron(f): 9:15pm On Mar 01, 2009
I think she should. She's not too bad of an actress. I saw her in one of those Beyonce movie and she acted much better than Nadia Buhari.
Celebrities / Re: Ghanaian Actresses- Jackie Appiah Vs Nadia Buari by sherron(f): 11:34am On Mar 01, 2009
michelin89, I read somewhere that Nadia was half Lebanese. If this is true, how is she not mix? Of course she's mix. I know they're many light skin Ghanian, however, I've never seen any Ghanian with both parents and grandparents black who look like Nadia with hair texture like Nadia. I'm not saying this is not possible; I'm saying I've never seen that before.
Celebrities / Re: Ghanaian Actresses- Jackie Appiah Vs Nadia Buari by sherron(f): 11:29am On Mar 01, 2009
We all have our likes and dislikes. When I say Jackie is dark and beautiful, I say it because so many people think because a sister is dark skin, she can not be beautiful; so I was emphasizing her shade on purpose. Too many of us see a dark skin sister and can't see her beauty because she's dark. Most of you know this is a slave mentality to have. There are beautiful dark and light skin sisters. We should embrace them all. If you're beautiful, you're beautiful regardless of your skin tone. I truly think Jackie is prettier. I don't care for neither of these actresses acting. They need lots more training. I do enjoy watching African movies. Lots of beautiful actresses out there.

Peace.
Celebrities / Re: Ghanaian Actor Van Vicker! Hot Or Not? by sherron(f): 10:59pm On Dec 15, 2008
I first saw him in the movie Corporate Maid. He wasn't such a great actor in that movie, but I kept watching it only because he was good looking.
Celebrities / Re: Ghanaian Actor Van Vicker! Hot Or Not? by sherron(f): 10:56pm On Dec 15, 2008
Van Vicker is such a handsome man. I knew he wasn't fully Nigerian nor Ghanian. He doesn't have the average look of an Africn man. He's handsome as hell though. Most Nigerians and Ghanian men I've seen were dark sking with thick hair and broad noses. Vic looks more hispanic than anything else. I first saw him in the movie
Celebrities / Re: Omotola Jolade vs Stella Damasus-Aboderin by sherron(f): 10:13pm On Dec 15, 2008
I like Omotola more. She just have something about her that's difference. I've seen several pictures of her without make up and she wasn't all that. With make up, she much more beautiful. I'm not at all crazy about Stella although she's beautiful.
Celebrities / Re: Ghanaian Actresses- Jackie Appiah Vs Nadia Buari by sherron(f): 9:58pm On Dec 15, 2008
Jackie gets my vote; she's dark and lovely with a beautiful smile.

Thanks so much sugar. I owe you one. Now you can have Mr. Vicker. lol I'll make sure he place that ring on your finger by end of business day. lo

Have a nice day.
Celebrities / Re: Ghanaian Actor Van Vicker! Hot Or Not? by sherron(f): 2:23pm On Jul 08, 2008
I love his voice. I also like the other actor. Mr. Noah Ramsey I think is his name; but none can top Van Vicker. Van is not so much of a great actor; he's just handsome. He needs more acting lessons or he needs to put more actions into his acting.

Can anyone give a good website that will show some of these movies without them skipping or stopping for so long? I know they want us to purchase the movie; but what if you just wanted to see a few mi nutes of it?
Celebrities / Re: Celebrities Without Make Ups by sherron(f): 5:08pm On Jul 07, 2008
If it wasn't for make up, none of these people would be in show business. Make up is a million or maybe even billion dollar industry and it's all about make up.
I bet if you asked any of the female celebs to attend an award show without make up, they would not show up.
Celebrities / Re: Ghanaian Actor Van Vicker! Hot Or Not? by sherron(f): 10:27am On Jul 06, 2008
No sugar, I didn't take him. He still loves you and you only. You know that special love only you can see. lol.
You know when you marry a brother that fine, you will have problems each time you step out side. Please keep him at home for peace sake. lol

I may say peace; but having a brother like that, you are asking for war from other sisters. Girl, If I had a man like him, I'd lock him up. lol

Peace any way. smile.

Romance / Re: Nigerian Guys Cannot French Kiss! by sherron(f): 9:47pm On Jul 04, 2008
Stop worrying about french kissing. Invent your own way of kissing that wil make you feel comfortable.
But, if you're having trouble french kissing, this means you'll have double trouble kissing down stairs. You'll have to invent your own way with that too in order to feel comfortabl.

Good luck brother.
TV/Movies / Re: Favourite Genevieve Nnaji Movie! by sherron(f): 9:26pm On Jul 04, 2008
I like her in almost all her movies. And those other women are not as beautiful as she is. The few pictures posted here that is. We must accept our own beautiful black sisters and stop comparing them with other people's. If you must show other beautiful women, then show pictures of other black women; but don't show Indians and white women and say they are more beautiful than Naji. Naji is Black and gorgeous. You'll never see White people posting pictures of Blacks showing how beautiful they are over non black women.

I'm not Nigerian nor Ghanian; however, those two countries have some beautiful women.
