It's either the foundation is faulty or the blocks use for the construction are weak, I will advice you to create a column at the particular space, with that problem solved. |
biz9ja:why not?you can use it in osun in as much you have the money, just that I won't advise you to do such if it's for an estate project. |
laudate:it can also be use in lekki despite the nature of the area in as much the laying of the bricks start from German floor. |
The curing part,we did the curing without burning the bricks, just heat for somedays depending on the mixing ratio
|
Brick buildings are more expensive compare to sandcrete buildings, getting the specific laterite is not easy, the procedure in making the bricks are not that stressful,so simple when you follow the rules most especially the curing part, that part require kin attention, I did some at Potharcourt 2012,what I don't like about it is the lack of burglary proof considering the situation of this country which I believe everyone is aware of. You are suppose to pay for this, you guys should stop looking for cheap workers, always close eyes and do things once and for all instead of making mistakes and coming back agian, the only advice I will give you is that don't use clay pot,the only advantage clay pot has over reinforcement slab is that it reduces weight on the structure and amount of materials to be use for the casting will also reduce, aside that it dosnt look natural to me,concrete wont be able to penetrate into those holes in the clay pots, but since this is not a German floor you should have planned for this even before the foundation was been dug,you are sounding as if you don't have a structural engineer or structural designs,Oga you have to pay oo if not you are on a long thing. |
30 mins? The man will have a sore tongue and jaw and your nips will be raw! Even a baby does not breast feed for 30 mins....I totally disagree with you,I use to spend more than 30 minutes on boobs alone,in fact that area use to be my (AOC) Area Of Concentration, though some guys don't fancy it,they prefer to go straight to the point, sex is meant to be enjoy just that most guys are so selfish |
How do you intend to do it?how do you intend to connect the coming reinforcement which are suppose to connect with the starter bar in other to form the suppose staircase?am suspecting you might have made a mistake by skipping the starter bar while casting the slab, bro ko le work. |
a window is ok at the kitchen,1.5m to 1.8m size should be fine. |
if it's upstairs,let say a storey building 9inch/230mm is needed,but if it's a bungalow 6inch/150mm will be fine.Always consult a professional. seun_smileuk@yahoo.com |

tonytony208:no plastering, each brick is a little bit recess inside to allow them key in properly. |
vivaciousvivi:this hydroform bricks does not come cheap, the lactarite use are special not just red sand, the mixture ratio determine how strong it would be,the curing part is the most difficult part,we don't cure it with Sun but heat their by covering it with trampoline immediately it's been mould,we only wet it with water morning and evening for 6 to 7 days depending on the mixing ratio,we had to covered it back with trampoline immediately after wetting to generate heat, resistant to bullets, but as for me I don't fancy it. |

this is hydroform bricks now, nothing new,I did the same thing last 5 years in Port Harcourt, south African initiated the using of it.

op you are totally wrong,it's unfortunate that must people refuses to consinder the road level when building houses, the first thing that determine your compound and german floor is the road level, let even assume your existing road has not been done, what comes to mind is to take 200mm above the road level and tranfer it to your compound, you will assume that's the final road level when its been done, mean while the tickness of Nigeria roads can't be more than 150mm most especially state roads, take another 200mm above the compound level and that will be the level of your Germans floor, with that you are good to go,i can bet it flood won't be able to penetrate through your compound, most houses that got flooded never consider the future, always engage a professional to do your job for you. |

How is that possible?a 3 bedroom flat will take nothing less than five thousands block, including workmanship will take nothing less than 1.2m,remember there's still a German floor and the plastering, those are Masson work also. Be realistic please. maximum he can spend on blocks work plus workmanship is 500k. @op, use your 3m very well, i'm sure you may not need up to a million if the money is not enough. Nawa o, some people just dey call millions anyhow. Well, experience they say is a best teacher.
|
Am a site engineer,it all depend on the metres of your structures and the finishing, you might have taste for good finishing which might cost you more money, but with what am seening,5m should be ok that's if you don't want parapet to be inclusive. |
