I experienced the same thing not until I used a VPN (Proton VPN). It worked seemlessly after that and I was able to fill my DS-160. Try same approach......all the best!

Your profile and/or circumstances sound plausible (barring the the financing criteria - see suggestion in line above) for non-immigrant (F1) visa issuance.

It is really shocking that some of us have such commendable standardized test score and are still talking about taking a loan which
[1] may inhibit visa issuance,
[2] creates future financial burden and risk(s) viz principal and interest payments, risk of shooting down credit score (in the US) et al.
What did the said consultant recommend per financing the program beyond just it's quality... (remember, money talks!)

Regarding the consultant's recommendation, I later found out that, for my course, the school is really particular about practicals. Students spend about an hour in class and the rest of the day outside on fields. The school also has a 5000-acre of land for practicals where students carry out research activities. I was really blown when I went through the school and even spoke with some current Masters student. I guess that is why it is clearly stated on the school's website that assistanship positions are given to Ph.D. students and are rarely given to masters students.

I will further spread my network of search to other schools too though...but the truth is, I have fallen in love already with MTU *coversface* ......thanks once again!!!

You can get funding lots of opportunities.
Try other schools please look to states that have such natural reserves or related industrial uses.
A friend of mine got a GA for a university in South Dakota and Im pretty sure she's doing work related to Forestry and restoring the environment

Regarding my last question, I will like to give a little brief about my journey so far....

I graduated in 2015 (Forest Resources Management), completed NYSC in 2017, worked as a plantation manager between then and January 2021. Travelled to Ghana for a conference in April 2021 and entered UAE from there based on work levels. While working there, I met my current employer via an online seminar where I was a speaker. we got talking and he told me about the idea of establishing a rubber estate in Osun state. I worked remotely with his staff by organising teachings online every week for 1 hour (on my off days). We were able to establish a nursery and budding wood garden in 2021. I also contributed to Osun state establishing 2 million rubber trees through NARPPMAN even while I was working and living in UAE. Fast forward to 2023, I knew I wanted to go for my graduate program so I was prepared to write GRE, wrote that in April when I got back to Nigeria and scored 330 (162 in verbal reasoning, 168 in Quantitative reasoning and 4.5 in analytical writing). Meanwhile, I already took up a position as the head of forestry department with my employer I met online in 2021.

I applied to Michigan Technological University only (it was recommended by our consultant in Germany as he had taken some online certificate courses with the University and vouched for the high level of lecture delivery) for fall 2024. I have gotten admission AND SECURED AN EDUCATIONAL LOAN THROUGH MPOWER FINANCE FOR MY STUDIES.

Going forward, what are my chances at the Visa interview? I have no other source of funding except MPOWER, I am married, my wife isn't going with me as I am coming back to resume my role as head of forestry with my current employer (this time, I will be handling international operations...I have a letter of introduction to that effect from my chairman). Let me also add that the rubber estate project has started with establishment of 10,000 hectares of Hevea brasliensis. we project going into full production of rubber and its by products in the first quarter of 2027.

Hi guys, I have about 1.3 million in my personal account, my parents would be giving me 1.7 million naira to support my masters studies. Now these are my questions:
- I am opting for self funding, do I still need my parent’s statement of account or mine is enough to present when applying for the study visa? Please note that I have about 3 million naira already in my account like that....

I cannot answer your question because your question is not as relevant as the documents you have to present... what I meant is that I WILL HAVE TO ASK YOU RATHER how you intend to package your visa documentation or have done already, as I do not know what is within your means as proofs... then I can give you a complete answer. I hope you understand my rambling... a thorough review is always better than a superficial advise, so that you get a satisfactorily answer without any single doubts about what you need to do... because at the end, you can only get a YES or NO answer for visa answer.

Mind you I am also avoiding being the one who will advise you how to package your documents, as it is not as if I am paid agent, so I only take a look at your plan or package in total and then be your best critic... if you can satisfy me, then I bet you, you will get the visa. In fact, be ready to fight for your right if you feel you are victimized unnecessarily, that fact is even stated on every visa denial, but don't bother to contest if you even do not know what you have done that is wrong... because of ignorance.

In my case, I am from a humble and low income family. However, I have a maternal uncle with whom I have been living with in the United Arab Emirates since 2017 till date and he is my prospective sponsor. We do not bear the last name. How am I to package my visa application? How would that affect the chances of being given a visa?

Yes. Carry foodstuffs like garri, red oil, beans as they're very expensive here. But make sure you don't put it on your hand luggage (cabin) as they'll cease it.

You can't do this in UAE, it has to be done in Nigeria.

What's the implication of this? I have done that of MOE and MOFA and my flight is slated for Nov 2.

@justijesu and other experienced experts in the house....how long will the result attestation take in Abuja and must the three offices(ministry of education, ministry of foreign affairs and UAE embassy) all endorse\append each stamp on a certificate. I mean must the 3 stamps be on one certificate? thanks

Well, I did mine (MOE and MOFA) in just a day. Get to MOE early enough, though yhu would be told by those security officials at the gate that yhu can't enter until 10 a.m for non staff. Get every necessary documents required of yhu and patiently interact with colleagues yhu would meet on ground for any clarification on any issue. When done with MOE, move straight up to MOFA, be ready to pay some cash if yhu wantu get it done same day. But then, if yhu wantu follow protocol, my dear, yhu are on a long thing. And that is my reason for asking yhu to interact with colleagues yhu might meet on ground, yhu never can tell who could be of help. It worked for me though....

As per Embassy thingy, I didn't do mine o cox of money. Was told I would be able to do that as well in Dubai (dunno how true this is though). I so humbly submit.

But then, yhu gotta chill well well.....been on the processing since July or thereabout......yhuve gotta exercise a great deal of patience. Trust your agent enough (thats if yhubknow him really well not to betray your trust) and never listen to what other people might say so as not to get discouraged and start thinking you have been scammed......just saying though

It's being handled by my uncle. And according to him, the company expects my arrival on the 2nd of November. I really don't have the full gist of how the processing went until I get to meet him personally. In other words, I may not be able to provide the info yhu need presently.....

You can weigh the options but i would advice you go to the 3months visit visa route to avoid any bitter experience.

I have no idea if one can certify HSE Certificate though others can assist with that.

I tried attesting my HSE certificates as well while I went to MOE but I was told it can't be attested. So I attested just my O'level results and First degree statement of result.

I need to ask what does a group ticket mean? How true is the possibility of a company given yhu such? What would yhu say about your company giving you an arrival date? As for my case, I was told my company wants all of us who were given a job from Nigeria (about 18 of us) to arrive Dubai on the same day so we can be conveyed from the airport by the company once and for all......abeg, help clear my doubts.
