Crime / Illegal Traffic Functions By Trace/ado Odo Ota Local Govt Staffs by Shevmaen(m): 7:39am On Feb 01, 2017
It has become the regular acts of some individuals who gathered themselves around Sango Ota /Toll Gate axis in Ogun State to pick on drivers who park by the road side even without obstructing the road or where there are no signs of No Parking/Tow –Away Zone. These people will force car owners to drive to a large compound behind the Ado Odo/ Ota Local Government Secretariat where they extorts their victims. They issue tickets of fine of N15, 000 asking you to pay to the cashier in the premises. If at the end of the day you cannot afford to pay the N15, 000, you will be asked how much you can afford. If you know too much you will be asked to pay for gate-pass.
It has been gathered that they are not traffic enforcement workers, they only act like trace officials with no uniform, no ID Card and even make use of fake MOPOLs. (On illegal mission). They are local government staffs who doesn’t do anything but sit idle. This was why they are able to device means of getting money for their pockets. Right in front of other victims they share money collected. The question is who gave the local government staffs traffic function on Federal Roads? How did they get the so-called fine tickets bearing Ado Odo/ Ota Local government? These people are just there to make people cry.
Please let this information go out there till it gets to the authority who can see to it.

Romance / How To Know If You Are With Your Mr Right...90% Of Ladies Dont Know This!!! by Shevmaen(m): 12:59am On Sep 01, 2016
I called off my wedding 18 years ago this June. It was canceled quickly and quietly, long before any invitations were mailed, with no hysterical scene at the church and no frantic telephone calls to 300 guests. While last-minute drama might have made for a more entertaining story, canceling a caterer, a church and a reception hall five months before the big event was dramatic — and traumatic — enough for me.

In the aftermath of this very public and embarrassing breakup, I spent months — years even — figuring out why I almost married the wrong guy.
I had to look in the mirror and admit what I had known deep down all along: He was wrong for me. I also had to admit that I didn’t have a clue about how to find the right guy or even who the right guy was for me. So how could I find him if I didn’t know what I wanted in the first place?

I was fortunate. I eventually figured it out and found the right guy; an old friend, who had been in my life long before my near-miss at the altar. Now, with three kids and almost 17 (happy!) years of marriage, I’m sharing my story. And after hearing hundreds of women tell me about their own misguided marriages and close-calls with Mr. Wrong, I realize this happens all the time.

Women remain “stuck” in relationships with the wrong guy for the wrong reasons. Why? Because if they don’t know what they want, they can’t tell the difference between Mr. Right and Mr. Wrong. Sure, we all joke about that “list” of must-have qualities: great looks, intelligence, sex appeal, etc. But do the qualities we seek add up to the right guy — and in turn, the right relationship?

Unfortunately, the answer is often no. So how do you recognize the right guy? The first step is to articulate what you want and need. That list is different for everyone. But the second list is universal. And that’s a clear understanding of the qualities of a healthy relationship. As we researched our book, my co-author Jennifer Gauvain and I talked to hundreds of women and we’ve observed five universal signs you’re dating the right guy:

1. You bring out the best in each other, not the worst. You encourage each other to grow personally, professionally and emotionally, recognizing that change is positive and healthy.

2. You trust each other and can count on one another to do the right thing. There’s no jealousy or second-guessing in the relationship.

3. You have fun together. Playfulness adds spice, and laughter is an aphrodisiac.

4. You share common core beliefs and values. Connecting on an emotional and spiritual level can be just as powerful as a physical connection.

5. You communicate with each other out of care and concern instead of judgment and criticism. Think about it this way: What’s your tone of voice like when you’re critical and judgmental? It’s hard to have a harsh tone when you speak out of care and concern.

Do you have these qualities in your current relationship? If not, it’s time to pay attention to your gut feelings. Deep down, you know whether or not he’s right — or wrong — for you.

Keep in mind that loneliness, lust and butterflies can cloud even the smartest woman’s judgment. But a solid understanding of what a healthy relationship with Mr. Right feels like will help you clear your head so that you’ll say “so long” to Mr. Wrong — and recognize the right guy when he comes along.

Phones / Whatsapp Users To Receive Adverts by Shevmaen(m): 4:29pm On Aug 25, 2016
WhatsApp says it will begin sharing more data with Facebook and will start letting some companies send messages to users.
It is the first time the company has changed its privacy policy since the firm was bought by Facebook in 2014.
WhatsApp will now share users' phone numbers with the social network, which it will use to provide "more relevant" friend suggestions and advertisements.
One analyst said some people might feel "betrayed" by the move.

Data sharing
WhatsApp said sharing users' phone numbers with Facebook would help tackle spam and abuse, as well as offer people "better friend suggestions and more relevant ads".
Using the data, Facebook will be able to match people who have exchanged phone numbers, but have not added one another as "friends" on the social network.
WhatsApp will also share information about when people last used the service, but said it would not share the contents of messages, which are encrypted.
"Your encrypted messages stay private and no-one else can read them. Not WhatsApp, not Facebook, nor anyone else," the company said in a blogpost.
The company said users would be able to opt out of sharing information with Facebook by following the steps outlined on its website.
How can I opt out of data sharing?

The box to opt out of data sharing is tucked away in the app's terms and conditions
When prompted to accept the updated terms and conditions, tap Read to expand the full text
A check box at the bottom of the new privacy policy will let you opt out of the data sharing
WhatsApp states Facebook will still receive data in some situations
"When WhatsApp was acquired by Facebook it was able to reassure users that it would remain independent," said Pamela Clark-Dickson, principal analyst at Ovum.
"Now it's giving Facebook phone numbers - some might say that's a betrayal of trust. In a small way, it has gone back on what it said it wouldn't do."
Business messaging
The updated privacy policy also paves the way for businesses to send messages to WhatsApp users.
The company suggested messages typically sent via SMS text message - such as airline flight alerts or bank balance updates - could be sent via WhatsApp instead.
It said that in addition to appointment information and delivery notifications, it would also allow "marketing" messages.
"Messages you may receive containing marketing could include an offer for something that might interest you," the company said.
Ms Clark-Dickson said users may not mind the service "if they can opt in and the messages are useful".
"It will help them generate revenue if they charge businesses a fee to send messages," she told the BBC.
"But WhatsApp needs to be careful, a lot of people use it because they don't get advertising there."
The company said it would test such messaging features in the coming months, but promised to avoid a "spammy experience" where people are inundated with ads.
Other messaging apps such as China's WeChat have already enabled business-to-consumer communication to great success, but Ms Clark-Dickson suggested WhatsApp would take a different approach.
"WeChat is a content-driven platform," she told the BBC.
"It opened up its platform to third parties, letting people make payments, book taxis. That seems to be the direction Facebook is taking Messenger.
"WhatsApp has the potential to be a great communication facility, if it concentrates on a solid user experience as its differential."

Strange, Mysterious but True: Ghost Wedding in China and Why They Can be Deadly

By Grace Tsoi

This photo taken on August 7, 2014 shows a woman burning paper money to pay respects to deceased ancestors and loved ones during the Ghost Festival, on a sidewalk outside a restaurant in Ludian, in China's southwest Yunnan province.
Police in north-west China have charged a man with murdering two women with mental disabilities, alleging that he wanted to sell their corpses to be used in so-called "ghost weddings".
It has put a spotlight on the ancient shadowy ritual, still practised in certain parts of China, which aims to provide spouses for people who die unmarried.
According to police in Shaanxi province, the murder case dates back to April, when three men were detained after the body of a woman was found in their vehicle by traffic police.
Their investigation led them to uncover a grisly sequence of events in which the man, named only as Ma, allegedly promised the women he would find them grooms but instead killed them so he could sell their corpses.
What is a ghost wedding?
Believers in the custom, practised for some 3,000 years, say it ensures the unmarried dead are not alone in the afterlife.
Originally, the weddings were strictly for the dead - a ritual conducted by the living to wed two single deceased people - but in recent times some have involved one living person being married to a corpse.

The custom is still said to take place across the Chinese-speaking world

In ghost marriages between two dead people, the "bride's" family demands a bride price and there is even a dowry, which includes jewellery, servants and a mansion - but all in the form of paper tributes.
Factors like age and family background are as essential as they are in more traditional weddings, so families hire feng shui masters to work as a match-maker.
The wedding ceremony will typically involve the funeral plaque of the bride and the groom and a banquet. The most important part is digging up the bones of the bride and putting them inside the groom's grave.
Is there a darker side to this tradition?

For years there has been evidence of this ritual mutating in certain parts of China. There have been cases where a living person has been "married" to a corpse in a secret ritual, but more alarmingly reports of grave robbery and even murder have also surfaced.
In 2015, it was reported that 14 female corpses were stolen in one village in Shanxi province. Villagers said tomb-raiders stole the bodies to make money.
According to Huang Jingchun, the head of the Chinese department at Shanghai University who carried out a field study on ghost weddings in Shanxi between 2008 and 2010, the price of a corpse or the bones of a young woman has risen sharply.
At the time of his research such remains would fetch around 30,000 to 50,000 yuan (£3,400 to £5,700; $4,500 to $7.500). He estimates the price these days could be up to 100,000 yuan. The sale of corpses was outlawed in 2006 but that hasn't stopped grave robbers.
A man arrested in Liangcheng County, Inner Mongolia last year told police officers that he murdered a woman so that he could make money by selling her body to a family looking for a ghost bride.
Why is this happening?
The reasons vary from place to place. In some districts of China, such as Shanxiwhere the latest murders are alleged, there are large numbers of young, unmarried men working in coal mining, where fatalities are high.

Paper versions of all the comforts of life are offered to the deceased

The ghost wedding serves as a form of emotional compensation for bereaved relatives, as finding a dead bride is something they can do for a son who died young while working to support the family.
But sex ratios are also significant. The 2014 census results show that about 115.9 boys were born for every 100 girls.
But Dr Huang believes there are also more fundamental cultural reasons.
Many Chinese people believe misfortune will be brought upon them if the dead's wishes have not been fulfilled. Hosting a ghost wedding is a means to pacify the dead.
"The basic ideology behind ghost weddings is that the deceased continue their lives in the afterlife," Dr Huang said. "So if someone didn't get married when they lived, they still need to be wedded after their death."
Does it happen in other places?
Most cases are found in northern and central China, areas such as Shanxi, Shaanxi and Henan provinces. But Szeto Fat-ching, a feng shui master in Hong Kong, also confirms the ancient form of the custom still exists among Chinese communities in South East Asia.

In Taiwan, if an unmarried woman passes away, her family may place red packets with cash, paper money, a lock of hair, a fingernail out in the open and wait for a man to pick them up. The first man to pick up the packets is chosen as the groom and it is believed to be bad luck if he refuses to marry the ghost bride.
The wedding rituals are similar, but unlike in mainland China, no bones are dug up. The groom is often allowed to marry a living woman later, but his dead wife should be revered as the primary wife.
Last year a video of a ghost wedding from Taichung in Taiwan, where a man apparently "married" his deceased girlfriend in an elaborate ceremony, went viral.
At the core of these rituals is the universal human dilemma of how to deal with bereavement.
"Such ghost weddings are very touching, showing the perseverance of love

Sports / Six Things That Got Jose Mourinho Sacked by Shevmaen(m): 8:14pm On Dec 17, 2015
1. Eva Carneiro

The first match of the season led to an extraordinary bust-up between Mourinho and club doctor Eva Carneiro.

With Chelsea down to 10 men following the sending-off of keeper Thibault Courtois against Swansea and hanging on at 2-2, Carneiro ran on to the pitch to treat the injured Eden Hazard.

Mourinho was furious as Hazard had to leave the pitch to rejoin th action, leaving his side down to nine.

He responded by blasting the doctor publicly - so much so tha she lost her job so that she is suing him for constructive dismissal.

2. Too many defeats

Nine defeats in 17 Premier League matches - as many as Jose Mourinho had suffered in his previous two seasons as Chelsea boss - has left the club one point above the relegation zone and in 16th place.

3. Lost the dressing room

With Jose raging at all his players, accusing them of 'betrayal' , one reportedly said he would rather lose than win for Mourinho. Then the manager seemed to accuse Eden Hazard or faking injury against Leicester this week. Dropping Cesc Fabregas, John Terry and Nemanja Matic was seen as act of desperation - but taking Matic off after bringing him on as sub was seen as step too far by some.

4. Spoilt brat behaviour

Mourinho has been subjected to a one-match stadium ban and a £40,000 fine, as a result of his behaviour in the 2-1 loss to West Ham on October 24.

These two incidents are just two of many on Mourinho’s lengthy rap sheet during his time in West London.

5. Transfer dealings

Chelsea's failure to improve their squad this summer has proved hugely detrimental to Jose Mourinho. If the Portuguese can be blamed for that is unclear given the fragmented way transfers happen in modern football, but the transfers this summer were highly questionable. Papy Djilobodji has yet to pull on a Chelsea shirt in the first team, Radamel Falcao has been an unmitigated disaster which is no surprise given his performances at Manchester United last season and the signing, and subsequent loan back to Reading of Michael Hector was frankly bizarre. Only Asmir Begovic, Pedro and to a lesser extent Baba Rahman have been involved in the Premier League and their impact has been minimal. These are not the additions you would expect from a club of the size of Chelsea and it's cost Jose.

6. He’s not ‘The Special One’ anymore

Just like in Italy and Spain, the press have grown tired of his antics and frosty attitude, with Mourinho’s inability to handle criticism in the media only continuing to stir the pot.

Even the general public don’t love Mourinho anymore.

The Chelsea boss was a media darling when he returned to the club in 2013 but is now seen as tedious.

Talk of the underworld, you will meet him there. He has niggas and bi*tch*es who snitch for him. If he hears about you. He dials your number and invite you over. He has men who torture people in his compound. On the street, you might be unlucky if you carry the wrong olosho who happens to be an agent. In an hotel, you might be bursted. So many strategies. And on the contrary, he is a cheerful giver. From a reliable source his death was from them omo onile.
